17/02/2026: A warm welcome from the colorful owner, the decor is exotic. The owners are lovely, the food is excellent, generous and hearty, with fresh, high-quality organic produce and incredible flavors.

30/11/2025: I wanted to mention this restaurant with its friendly and original atmosphere to my clients from Switzerland. We had lunch there and enjoyed a delicious vegan dish; it was simply excellent, and we had a lovely chat with Remy Mahler. We will definitely be back.

25/03/2026: Regardless of the fact it is near the Cathedral and an assumed tourist trap, I admittedly ate here during a downpour and in desperation of a dry place at dinnertime. Knowing it was in close proximity to the Cathedral gave me expectations (low ones) as tourist traps are always in the vicinity of monuments. But hey, I'm married, have kids who need to pee, and the rain is coming down. If not for that I would have avoided this place like the plague just because of the proximity to the Cathedral. I ordered the chicken Caeser, my wife had the french onion soup. My salad was garbage; the salad portions were all rough with brown ends. The chicken so stringy and fatty I needed a steak knife to get through them. My wife's french onion soup was worse. It didn't even resemble, nor taste, like what it should. The cheese on top of the soup was laid on a small piece of toast, like the cook didn't even care to make it look or taste right. The food at dinner was gross, overpriced, and what I expected from a place so close to the Cathedral. If you find yourself in a rainstorm and without close dinner options while outside this restaurant then I'd only recommend sucking it up and walking a few streets over in the rain to find something semi-decent.

22/03/2026: A lovely inn, lovingly furnished and maintained by the owner. Delicious food, friendly service, and a welcoming, family atmosphere. If you're looking for great value for money, this is the place to go. Typical Alsatian cuisine and other tasty dishes.

22/03/2026: Yesterday, Saturday, was my 10th visit. Up until now, I'd tolerated the "oddities" of the house rules because the food was okay. BUT, that's it: Having to queue to pay because the owner doesn't trust his staff, not knowing where the tips go... the fact that some dishes are excellent and others below average... all strange but acceptable. Yesterday (March 21, 2026), however, we encountered an outrage that no guest should have to put up with: They were supposed to open at 12:00, but we arrived at 12:15. The place was already quite busy, and some people had even received their food! All the guests were crammed together in the area to the left of the door, where there were only three tables for six people free. We were shown to a table far away from everyone else, separated by room dividers, furniture, etc. – in short, the "cat table." When we declined their offer (there were still 20 tables free and the terrace was unused), they became unpleasant... they said we couldn't expect anything with only 3 people... etc. I should add that we ate there 6-8 times last year and spent an average of €120-150 with several people. Here, the restaurant isn't there for the customer; it's the customer for the owner, who is responsible for these strange behaviors! NEVER AGAIN!

10/03/2026: A rustic inn ideally located in a quiet spot on the edge of the forest. A pleasant little spa with a jacuzzi, sauna, and hammam (unfortunately, it wasn't working), and a games room with a pool table, foosball, and ping-pong table. A lovely terrace overlooking the ponds. Dinner and breakfast were very good and plentiful. A great find, highly recommended as a base for sightseeing or hiking. The owner is very friendly.

15/02/2026: I have absolutely no regrets about making the trip to this verdant haven. The meals I had, the menus, left me speechless; both the presentation and the taste were superb. Thank you so much to Christophe for his exemplary service. And thank you also to Noëlle. Not forgetting the waitress and the kitchen staff.

26/03/2026: Good food and a warm welcome once it's open, but if you arrive for lunch and are 15 or 5 minutes early, the staff will turn you away because you can't enter the restaurant before 12:00 sharp—an absurdity, especially in winter when you have up to 10 people waiting in the cold until it's exactly 12! These could be customers just starting to order drinks, like an aperitif! It's no better at the security office! I find this organization very unprofessional!

23/02/2026: We enjoyed authentic brasserie fare, generous and traditional, just the way we like it. The Danish-style herring was impeccably fresh, subtly complemented by grapefruit and apple—a beautiful balance. The liver dumplings and pig's trotter were genuine, flavorful, dishes with character that truly delighted the palate. Special mention goes to the sorbets drizzled with Gewurztraminer marc and the authentic crème brûlée, perfectly caramelized. The welcome was warm, and we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The whole family enjoyed it, and the children ate very well too. We highly recommend it!

07/04/2026: We discovered this place during brunch. The buffet is very varied and regularly replenished. The Alsatian specialties are delicious. Considering the price, with unlimited hot drinks and juices, it's a great deal. The tarte flambée was perfectly cooked and generously topped.
