19/05/2026: Nice little restaurant, we chose the asparagus, ham, mayo, and vinaigrette option (medium size)! We booked by phone for an asparagus tasting evening, and the asparagus was excellent and melted in your mouth 😋 The mayo was a little too salty, but everything was fresh and from a local producer 💪 The service was quick, professional, and friendly. The price was reasonable for the asparagus option 😀 We'll be back for another tasting evening 😉

24/02/2026: We stayed at the hotel in 2024 and dined at the restaurant. After moving to Alsace, we returned for lunch. The establishment is very well-run and the staff are friendly. The food is also very good... but the dishes arrive far too hot, not to say scalding.

01/01/2026: We just left this inn. As usual, it was perfect. The all-you-can-eat buffet (starters and desserts) and the main course (game, meat, and fish) were very good. They often have themed menus on Sundays... The atmosphere is calm and friendly. The staff is kind and attentive. I always go the day after New Year's and I never regret it. See you soon! ☺

23/09/2026: Good, well-prepared local products. Excellent, well-marbled frog legs. One pike-perch was enough for three people. We even took a whole box home. The owner filleted it beautifully right in front of us. The pork friesa was also delicious and served with a chanterelle sauce. The price was reasonable considering the quality of the food.

20/09/2026: Our family of four plus one baby stayed two nights in family room #27 in mid-September. Two separate compartments with a door, very convenient. A family-run hotel with a genuine welcome from the owners, close to Europa-Park (approximately 15 minutes, depending on the ferry wait) and the region's cycle paths, which will become our home base! Everything we needed was there. The shutters were perfectly blackout, the bedding and pillows were comfortable, and the place was quiet. There were even bolster pillows. The bathroom was functional, and the hot water came very quickly. They even made the beds between our two nights. I don't know if the sheets were changed; I hope not, as it wasn't necessary. The style is a bit dated, but it works very well. No complaints about the hotel itself; 9 out of 10 considering the value for money. We were a little disappointed by the breakfast, which was too basic despite the effort. Orange juice (from a carton), two slices of baguette (butter, jam, honey, Nutella), a homemade croissant, and coffee. You could perhaps increase the price by €1 or €2, or create a special option and add an egg (even a hard-boiled one), Kugelhof (a type of Alsatian cake), a piece of fruit (e.g., an Alsatian apple), homemade apple or grape juice, yogurt, Munster cheese, or another local cheese. We know how to make excellent breakfasts in Alsace, prove it! I imagine it would be quite easy for you, as you run a restaurant and know how to welcome guests. Breakfast is a 3/10. And if you're planning to cater to cyclists, who will be covering long distances, or families visiting Europa-Park, I think they need better (and more) food. A few tips for managers/owners, offered with all humility: Make information about your hotel easily accessible. I rarely have to call a hotel to understand the layout of a family room… Describe the rooms better on your website, with more photos. Include the Wi-Fi code in the room, if there is one. Save on towel cleaning by stacking them in the bathroom. Install a clothesline in the bathtubs to help those going to Rulantica. Be mindful of kitchen staff discussing the state of France; you're not exactly selling a dream. Offer several menu options for families going to Europa-Park, e.g., smaller portions of your dishes. Mini burgers and fries, or even sweet potatoes (small portions!), there are plenty of options without fast food. You should focus your services more on families; you're next to one of the most popular parks in Europe, your hotel should be at least 60% full at all times! Perhaps a little more visibility on Booking.com or another site would help… With the size of your rooms, you could add bunk beds to increase the number of beds (and therefore the price). Your hotel gives the impression of sitting on an untapped gold mine. Good luck!

07/06/2026: A simple country inn, somewhere in the French countryside? It certainly looks like one – but it turns out to be a really good restaurant! The food is lovingly prepared – and you get more than expected: On the one hand, the portions are larger than anticipated, and on the other hand, delicious little snacks are served throughout the meal. The lady who serves the food is also very charming – and briefly explains what she has brought. Not effusive or demanding praise, but discreetly professional. Although the rather short opening time at lunchtime has already been significantly exceeded, there isn't the slightest sense of departure – service continues at a relaxed pace. All in all, a very pleasant visit.

04/10/2026: Perfect service and wonderful cakes and pastries. High-quality craftsmanship at a perfectly reasonable price. Lovely café atmosphere. We arrived just before closing time and were greeted warmly and encouraged to stay a while. Everything was perfect, and we even took some cakes to go.

20/09/2026: The best culinary experience I've had so far in Alsace. The staff is friendly, the food is excellent, and the portions are generous. And as the owner told me when I mentioned it: "In Alsace, we eat like we work." We'll be back.

13/09/2026: We came as a group of four for lunch today, and we all had a very good meal. The waitresses were friendly and the restaurant was very pleasant. We live a few kilometers away and enjoy eating at local restaurants when our families come to visit. We will gladly return.

30/07/2026: We wanted to get a drink during a bike ride and were turned away, as they claimed only served food. The place wasn't full, and we might have ordered a snack as well. Very disappointing, very arrogant and unfriendly. They probably don't need the business. We can't comment on the food.

12/08/2026: It's regularly in this restaurant in the center of Illkirch that we meet up with our former colleagues. We find it a pleasant place to chat and catch up while enjoying delicious food. There are three distinct areas: a dining room with a space near the waterfront, as well as a lovely shaded terrace. We'll definitely make the most of this place.

16/07/2026: Dinner on the covered terrace was very pleasant. In the evening. The service was very good. The dishes were perfectly acceptable, although not very generous: after his pasta dish, my son wasn't full. I was disappointed by the limited menu. Only 5 starters, 5 main courses, and 5 desserts seems insufficient to me. I don't think I'll be back; there are plenty of restaurants in Illkirch.

25/05/2026: Another wonderful evening at Le Vieux Pressoir in Itterswiller. As always, we received a very warm welcome from Aubin and the owner. It was especially lovely that they even knew my name. 😊 We enjoyed it so much that we went back twice. The meat was excellent, the asparagus perfectly prepared, and the strawberry ice cream was also delicious. The atmosphere in the courtyard during the summer is simply magnificent and makes the experience even more special. Keep up the good work, we'll be back with great pleasure!

13/09/2026: A wonderful discovery! We started with the snails, which were excellent and presented in a unique way in small snail-shaped molds 🐌. For our main course, we chose the suggested dish: the hanger steak. The meat was superb, cooked to perfection, and the shallot sauce was absolutely delicious! 🥩 A big thank you also to the owner who served us: she was very pleasant, smiling, and attentive. The service was truly top-notch from beginning to end. The price was very reasonable: €138 for three people, including starter, main course, dessert, aperitif, and wine... We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back! 😊

18/08/2026: Passing through Moselle, it was very difficult to find a restaurant open on a Tuesday. We stopped here, 10 minutes from the Moselle River: a good restaurant with an unusual setting. The food and the price were more than reasonable, the person at the bar was friendly, and the waitress was very professional. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your waitress regarding her pastry qualification and her future plans. If you're ever near Eschau, I hope to see you at my place, La Trattoria del Amore.
