16/08/2026: A highly recommended restaurant! We tried it and what a pleasant surprise! Fresh, high-quality ingredients, excellent mussels, and a very, very good veal cordon bleu. The parking lot in front of the restaurant is super convenient; remember to book!

01/07/2026: One of the few restaurants I know that serves snails in a way other than the classic garlic-herb-butter (see photo), they opt for a forestière sauce, apparently similar to what my great-grandmother used to make. And that's a delight!

30/07/2026: A truly wonderful discovery! The portions are generous and the dishes are absolutely delicious. It evokes the authentic taste of yesteryear, like the comforting home-cooked meals our grandmothers used to make, prepared with high-quality ingredients. The welcome is warm and the decor, typically Alsatian, is magnificent and full of charm. The prices are perfectly in line with the quality and generosity of the portions. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back!

27/07/2026: A charming, old-fashioned restaurant in the historic Neudorf district. The building has a real history. The interior retains its original character, and there's a small outdoor terrace shielded from the sidewalk by a partition. It has a bit of an old-fashioned neighborhood bistro feel. They serve tarte flambée as well as about ten other dishes. The waitress, who is also the owner, is a bit direct but still friendly. Since I was dining alone, she offered me half tarte flambée, allowing me to try two. Both the traditional and the garlic and chive versions were excellent. The Dame Blanche (vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce) was also good. Prices are more than reasonable. An excellent spot in Neudorf for tarte flambée.

16/05/2026: The welcome was truly warm, the setting magnificent, The service impeccable and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals (pork escalope, veal escalope, rabbit, or beef steak) – the portions were generous. Our rooms were spacious, with a large bathroom. A superb and wonderfully peaceful natural setting. We will be back. Thank you for everything.

15/08/2026: The food was decent overall, however, the man working at the reception was very cold and unpleasant. He was very haughty and apparently didn't know any manners. My girlfriend and I were disappointed.

17/07/2026: While passing through Alsace with my boyfriend, we stopped at this restaurant. The staff is very welcoming, dedicated, and friendly. The food is good, quite generous, and good value for money. An amazing find this Friday!

15/07/2026: Warm welcome, quick service. Good food. However, I asked if it would be possible to have a side of salad and fries. They replied, "Oh yes, no problem." I received a bowl of fries and a bowl of salad, but ultimately, charging an extra three euros for salad isn't very customer-friendly. For that reason alone, I won't be returning.

10/08/2026: I don't usually leave bad reviews, but the series of mishaps during our visit this evening are worth mentioning… Having already eaten at Le Boucanier a few times last year, I went back without hesitation to please my mother. One of the waiters seated us at a table for four on the terrace. We ordered two hanger steaks with shallots, mine rare, my mother medium. The service was quick, and despite our waiter's friendliness, we were stunned when the plates arrived… A few pieces of hanger steak, half a shallot on top, no sauce, and a few fries that barely filled the basket. Both were cooked? Completely botched. I'll let the photos speak for themselves… I then asked if it was a mistake, if the sauce for the hanger steak had been forgotten, and I was looked at, bewildered, as if I were speaking Chinese. We were then offered ketchup and mayo… Anyway. My mother then asked for a side salad because it hadn't been requested, and she would have preferred a salad. It never arrived. In the middle of the meal, a waiter came to us and asked us to CHANGE TABLES due to a reservation error on their part! That was the last straw! We couldn't believe our eyes. Not to mention the entertainment provided by a woman, probably homeless, who kept yelling at everyone on the terrace for a cigarette and demanding ice cubes from the waiters for an hour. The waiter had the decency to offer us the pint of beer and tomato juice we had ordered as an aperitif. But that wasn't enough to make us come back. I was extremely disappointed and very embarrassed to have given my mother such an experience in a restaurant whose food I had spent the entire afternoon raving about. Judging from previous reviews, I'm not the only one who's been disappointed lately, and I urge the kitchen staff to take them into account. It's a beautiful restaurant with a lovely terrace on a pretty square in old Schiltigheim, but unfortunately, if the food isn't up to par, it's worthless. Avoid it.

09/08/2026: A huge disappointment today. I'm giving it one star because I have to in order to post this review. Until now, I was a regular at the Boucanier restaurant in Schiltigheim, which was one of my favorites. I usually appreciate the quality of the food and especially the warm welcome and kindness of the staff. I was also surprised by the allocation of outdoor tables: I asked for one upon arrival, and was told there were no more spaces, whereas when I left the restaurant, there were still several available. Unfortunately, my experience today was disastrous. The focaccia was raw, the plates were significantly less full than usual, the hanger steak with shallots and dry fries were served without sauce for either of us, and we waited almost 45 minutes for a tarte flambée meant for the children. The wait was particularly difficult to understand, especially with children at the table. The usual staff wasn't there today, and unfortunately, we found the team on duty particularly unwelcoming and unfriendly. The atmosphere and service were a far cry from what I'd always experienced at this establishment. It's all the more disappointing because I've always had a very good impression of Boucanier and I used to come here with pleasure. I sincerely hope it was simply an off day, because this experience is absolutely not what I expected from this restaurant. A huge disappointment today, after having been a very satisfied customer until now.

09/08/2026: A great place to meet up and indulge your taste buds. The food is really good: excellent value for money. Some of the games are definitely showing their age, but that's part of the charm of the place – and there are other, newer games too, so it's all good. The service is very good. We had a waiter and a waitress (Thursday, August 6, 2026) at TopiPop: thank you for the service! First time I came to spend an evening there, and it was great, so I'll be back.

30/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A wonderful discovery at Gimbelhof! A magnificent setting in the heart of nature, ideal after a lovely walk. We had a fantastic meal: flavorful, generous, and well-prepared dishes, showcasing regional specialties beautifully. Everything was truly delicious! Special mention also goes to the service: a smiling, pleasant, and attentive team, which greatly contributed to a wonderful experience. An excellent place to enjoy a great meal in a superb setting. We will definitely be back! 👍😊

20/05/2026: Some hotels are simply a place to sleep. Régent Petite France feels like you’re actually staying inside the postcard of Strasbourg. The location is unbelievable. You walk out the door and you are immediately in the middle of everything that makes Petite France so special — canals, bridges, flowers hanging from windows, people sitting outside with wine, little streets that somehow look even better at night than they do during the day. Honestly, half the time we just stood outside the hotel looking around thinking, “this can’t be real.” Our room was incredible with a view that made it hard to leave in the morning. Watching the boats pass through the canals while the city slowly woke up was one of those travel moments you remember long after the trip is over. The staff could not have been more helpful. Every interaction felt genuine and relaxed, never forced or overly formal. They helped with recommendations, directions, questions — anything we needed. You could tell they truly cared that guests enjoyed Strasbourg. The entire hotel somehow feels luxurious without being stuffy. Comfortable, elegant, quiet, and perfectly placed in the center of it all. Only very minor thing — the shower setup could be a little more accessible depending on mobility or preference — but honestly, it barely registered compared to how much we loved staying here. If you’re visiting Strasbourg and want to fully experience Petite France instead of just walking through it for an hour, stay here. We already miss waking up there.

17/05/2026: A magnificent hotel where I stay every time I'm in Strasbourg. Very well located. The concierge and valet parking staff are exceptional. The reception is very average and incapable of maintaining a customer database. In short, a major drawback. The hotel lobby is freezing cold (20 degrees Celsius) and the bathrooms, even with the thermostat turned all the way up, are like refrigerators. Plus, there are no slippers to warm you up, only flip-flops that hurt your feet. So don't come in winter, or bring your own slippers and a kettle. The spa is very professional, and the massages are excellent. The restaurant is always closed, every single time I've been there.

04/09/2026: We ate there again after a long time. The food was good again, and the staff did their best, but unfortunately, they seemed to be taking on too many tables for too few employees! Two hours for a main course plus dessert is simply too long in a simple restaurant! Especially with a child. It's a real shame, but if profit takes precedence over decent service, we'd rather eat somewhere around the corner!

31/08/2026: A wonderful discovery! This restaurant is located on a side street off the main town center. The chic and modern decor enhances the ambiance. The welcome and service were very pleasant. The menu offers appetizers to share, perfect for a convivial atmosphere, in addition to individual options. For main courses, you can choose from salads, fish, and meat dishes, so there's something for everyone. The same concept applies to desserts, with some designed to be enjoyed by several people (for those with a sweet tooth). The chocolate fondant is simply divine! I should also mention the wine list, which showcases wines from various French regions. We'll definitely be back! 😋
