22/03/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance. THANK GOD! Unfortunately, we couldn't eat in the restaurant because the "small" breakfast, which was one of the best we've ever had (Michel's poached truffle eggs were legendary), was so generous that we were all full for the entire day. We rented two rooms in the guesthouse, and you can't find a more authentic place to stay in Alsace. We live about two hours away, and I would drive all the way to Michel and Julie's just for a quick bite. They really deserve more than five stars. For me, it's already a highlight of the year. If you're reading this, thank you so much; we'll all be back. Best regards.

31/03/2026: A very warm welcome, with friendly and attentive staff. Excellent food. I particularly enjoyed the Bristol salad with its foie gras, smoked salmon, etc. I recommend the restaurant first, as I haven't yet tried the rooms (I'll definitely do that next time), so I'll leave that to the guests. I recommend this restaurant for the quality of its ingredients and reasonable prices. I'll definitely be back.

10/05/2026: A romantic evening with a wonderfully warm welcome from the attentive owner! A British atmosphere, great humor, delicious and generous fusion cuisine, and some great wine discoveries too! The only downside was no Pimm's because they weren't yet in season, which was actually a good sign! We'll be back!

17/04/2026: A nightmare! We had booked a table for a cozy family dinner with two children. We wanted to flee as soon as we arrived after being subjected to an inappropriate remark for being 8 minutes late. The atmosphere was icy, the dining room empty (we were the only customers, and I understand why now), no music, the owner barely polite, and the chef in the kitchen detestable. As for the food, it was horribly expensive for such mediocre quality. And not a single vegetarian option! Honestly, Strasbourg is full of great restaurants, but this one is to be avoided at all costs. And that's coming from a Strasbourg native!

08/05/2026: What a wonderful surprise to discover such a unique restaurant with a thoughtfully curated menu and flawless execution! It's such a treat to have this kind of establishment so close to home. Tonight we discovered and savored the pollock cordon bleu and a scallop and shrimp salad. Everything was perfectly executed and balanced with finesse and flavor. The two dessert options were simply irresistible, and the flavors were truly exceptional. A huge thank you to the entire team!

29/03/2026: We had dinner at Le Cerf, a family of four, on a Saturday evening, and overall it was a pleasant surprise for me. My in-laws, who were already familiar with the restaurant, wanted to introduce it to my partner and me. To start, we were offered a small glass of soup that evening: a nice little touch. For our starter, we chose to share a tarte flambée, which I found rather bland, and therefore disappointing. However, I was more than satisfied with the main course (and I think my partner and in-laws were too). I opted for the potato pancakes with salmon: simple and tasty. I appreciated the generous amount of smoked salmon on the plate. My in-laws had chosen the cordon bleu with fries, while my partner thoroughly enjoyed a piece of beef cooked rare, just as requested. I decided to stop there, as the dessert menu didn't particularly appeal to me! We also appreciated the restaurant's ambiance with its warm, vintage decor. It was also quite quiet that evening, which made for pleasant conversation. Overall, we had a lovely time as a family enjoying a generally good meal.

25/05/2026: We deliberately avoided tourist hotspots in Alsace, seeking something authentic. A place with genuine Alsatian atmosphere, nature, tranquility, and honest cuisine. We discovered the Auberge Lindenhof in Hohwald through ChatGPT—and it was an absolute stroke of luck. We planned our bike tour specifically to include a stop there and were thrilled to even get a table. Almost exclusively locals—that says it all. The food was outstanding. Add to that the special atmosphere amidst nature: pure idyll. It was also wonderful to see the joy and warmth with which the owner and the entire team work. You can immediately sense the passion they have for this place. For us, it was a truly special break on a beautiful bike tour in a stunning region. Thank you for this experience.

18/01/2026: I've often gone there with my husband and it's always a delight: today I tried a suggestion, the Munstiflette, which is like a tartiflette but with Munster cheese instead of Reblochon. The chocolate Liégeois dessert was also very good.

16/05/2026: Terrible service. At 9:30 PM, we couldn't get a hot meal because they'd supposedly been cleaned out. No more meat, no more fries 🤥 After discussing it and expressing our strong dissatisfaction, the cook finally offered us hamburgers. The fryers, however, remained off. In short, if you can, go somewhere else; it would be a very good idea...

24/05/2026: It was extremely busy (which is a good sign usually), luckily we were able to get a table within 5-10 minutes as we were a group of 8 people. The food was amazing with a lot of variety in the menu. What shocked me the most are the prices, they are so low for a restaurant in the centre in Paris and the food is still amazing. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and staff were amazing!
