07/09/2024: Catastrophe.. je suis déçu même avant de venir chez vous.. a chaque fois que j'essaie de réserver on se croirait a Versailles.. Je veux réserver une table avec 4 personnes et 3 chiens au lieu de me répondre, on me raccroche au nez, j'essaie de rappeler on me décroche plus au téléphone. On ira mangé ailleurs on a retenu la leçon ! Danke !

13/09/2024: We discovered the Sauloch restaurant by chance and we were not disappointed! The food is good, good cooked products and simplicity. The service is pleasant and friendly. All in a calming setting full of old objects. We will return!

01/12/2024: Wir kennen die Auberge Hungerplatz seit über 2 Jahrzehnten. Mehrfach haben die Betreiber gewechselt. Doch das Paar, das derzeit die Auberge bewirtschaftet, ist eine echte Bereicherung: Der freundliche Empfang, die Zubereitung der Speisen, die angebotenen Weine und die Menupreise sind wie man es sich besser kaum wünschen kann. Ein ganz kleiner Wermutstropfen besteht darin, dass man etwas Zeit mitbringen sollte, da der Chef in der Küche alles allein frisch zubereitet. Aber das ist es unbedingt wert. Die Wanderung zu den Burgen und die Einkehr im Hungerplatz ist ein wunderbares Erlebnis.

19/09/2024: What an amazing hotel and restaurant in the heart of Alsace! So glad we took the advice of other travellers and gave it a try. The highlight is the food… a very professionally run restaurant with local dishes cooked with great care and served in a lovely contemporary dining room. The chef is very talented. The wine list showcases some excellent local wines at very reasonable prices. The breakfast buffet is simple but fresh (excellent croissants, bread and local cheese and ham as well as cereals, yogurts and fruit). We were seriously impressed with the food. The portions are very generous! The rooms above the restaurant have been given a contemporary lick of paint and the beds are modern and super comfy but the bathrooms remain firmly rooted in the 1970s (it’s a long time since we’ve seen an avocado suite!). We felt this added a certain charm and everything worked amazingly well which is all that matters after a hard day’s walking. The only thing we missed was a kettle and cups to make a morning drink. We’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re planning a trip to this lovely area.

03/09/2024: It is always pleasant to have a snack with high quality pastry desserts in this place, as well as to have lunch or dinner enjoying their typical Alsatian and non-Alsatian dishes, of excellent quality!!...more than fair portions and good value for money! Despite being very busy, there is always room for everyone as it has 2 large internal rooms, a tea room and outdoor tables on a lovely central square

21/09/2024: We had reserved a table on a Saturday evening, we still had not received our dishes 1h15 after ordering (in exaggeration). We had ordered a drink but we weren't even served drinks for 1 hour 15 minutes. Some customers who arrived after us were served before. No one came to see us to explain the situation. We ended up leaving after 1:20, without the waiters even noticing. Too bad, we won't come back again.

20/09/2024: Very professional welcome. The cheese platter offered to me was delicious. Perhaps a little salad was missing to freshen things up. I let myself be guided about the wine and it was good advice.

11/12/2024: Incredible experience in this restaurant where the friendliness of the staff is appreciable. A short card = synonymous with know-how! And I confirm the talent of the cook which is undeniable!!! Dishes as good as each other. Don't hesitate and really go and try this restaurant without a shadow of a doubt!! 22/08/2024: Wir waren hier mit 2 Ehepaaren mir August an einem Montag Mittag, ohne Reservierung. Glücklicherweise war noch ein Tisch auf der herrlichen Terrasse frei, eine Reservierung in den französischen Ferien wäre hilfreich gewesen. Wir hatten das Mittagsmenü, Melone mit Parkschinken als Vorspeise, Hühnerkeule mit Beilagen als Hauptgang, und Eis mit Birne und Schokosahne als Nachspeise. Alles war sehr lecker und von hervorragender Qualität, und mit nur 18 Euro für das Mittagsmenü ein echter Tipp.

14/09/2024: I bought a slice of eggplant tart for 5.70 euros for a (really) small slice. She was truly disgusting. And given the (pretentious) price charged I feel doubly disgusted.

24/09/2024: Friendly restaurateurs Be careful the fries were not cooked enough I asked for a rare steak but it was medium rare.
