07/04/2026: I'm taking this opportunity to share my culinary experience at this establishment. We opted for the specialty, LA MATELOTE. Surprise!... a tiny portion of fish, overcooked pasta, a very noisy dining room, and a hefty bill. This is an experience I won't repeat.

23/05/2026: A wonderful discovery nestled in the heart of Alsace! We came for the sauerkraut and the tarte flambée, and everything was delicious. The waiter was very pleasant. Don't hesitate to order your all-you-can-eat tarte flambée early, as the wait can be long if it's busy. We'll gladly return if we're ever in the area again. (PS: Bring cash, the card machine can be temperamental!)
23/05/2026: We have been loyal customers for a long time, but our last visit was a huge disappointment.
The quality of both the food and the service has declined significantly. The pot-au-feu salad was mostly raw vegetables, with two tiny pieces of meat, all swimming in oil.
As for the iced coffee… it arrived without ice, which is frankly baffling.
In the end, the only truly unpleasant thing was the bill.
It's a shame, because we used to enjoy this establishment.

15/05/2026: Passing through town with the circus, we came to this restaurant. What a pleasant surprise! We travel a lot and eat in many restaurants, and this one is definitely among the best. The service was impeccable, the portions were generous, and above all, the quality was truly top-notch. We ordered a starter, main course, and dessert, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from beginning to end, all in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We'll definitely be back. Thank you so much.

28/05/2026: Superb location, magnificent view, very spacious rooms, very friendly staff, and spotless throughout the hotel.
26/05/2026: I stayed here with my dog during my through hike of the Vosges mountains. As there were not many other guests, we got a room upgrade with an amazing view! I loved the atmosphere, it's a little old but has a lot of charm. Really dog friendly and decent breakfast.

18/05/2026: The hotel provided a very warm welcome, and the room was very clean and comfortable. Special mention goes to the housekeeper who kept the room well-maintained and even provided an extra towel.
However, the breakfast was disappointing for the price and lacked vegan and halal options. I was also a little disappointed to find a cracked and stained bathtub/shower, rather than a walk-in shower as shown in the photos for the superior double room.

16/05/2026: A charming little restaurant tucked away on a quiet street in the city center! The decor immerses you in Alsatian traditions, the service is simple and very warm, and the waiter has a very friendly smile! The traditional Alsatian cuisine is delicious and generous... you wouldn't expect anything less from a true Alsatian... in short, a very charming place that I highly recommend if you're looking to have a pleasant time.

Who doesn't say hello and keeps cleaning her floor for 5 minutes with a customer right in front of her, probably thinking it's up to the customer to make the first move…
The customer is starting to think they're bothering her ;) then laughs as if we're being rude. Incidentally, it's no better than when she yells and gets angry in front of customers because her colleagues or supervisor are bad.

The service staff has changed, as has the kitchen staff.

There's a lovely outdoor terrace, the place is well-maintained, and the restrooms are clean.
You can go there without any worries. As for prices, it's a touristy spot, so they reflect that, but they're still reasonable.

I went there for dinner one evening and arrived a little late.
A table was reserved in a nice little corner. The decor is typically Alsatian, and the waiter was friendly.
I ordered a flammekueche with Munster cheese, which was delicious and a generous portion.

08/06/2026: Nothing exceptional. A terrible smell in some places. Not very pleasant for lunch.
04/06/2026: The worst restaurant I have ever been to.
All the glasses were dirty. When I complained, they showed absolutely no understanding. There were lipstick stains on the rims. The meat (both cordon bleu and schnitzel) was tough and inedible. The salad was bland. The tarte flambée and omelet were completely unremarkable. Awful, never again!
I'm generally not fussy, but this was truly unacceptable...
