09/09/2026: Had a lunch here between chateau visits. Beautiful, fine but not uptight dining. Be sure to book a table ahead of time as they get busy. We had the three course menu with an additional blue lobster where the chef fired up the stove right in front of us. Good wine list but not cheap. Worth couple hours to relax. Recommended.

08/09/2026: The gentleman gave excellent advice about the wine. We absolutely loved the wine and went to visit the château immediately.

30/08/2026: A long-planned family dinner! What a delight: the welcome and service were highly professional. Kindness, attentiveness, and a touch of humor made for a truly enjoyable evening. The four-course menu was excellent: each dish was presented with such finesse, allowing us to fully appreciate the flavors and quality of the cuisine. We opted for the wine pairing: a flawless choice. We will gladly return to rediscover this essential Bordeaux restaurant. Bravo to the entire team (you made our mother (and us) so happy – she was thrilled with her choice and her evening).

18/09/2026: Passing through Martillac, we were looking for a place to eat and what a surprise! We found "BRASSERIE LE REFUGE" – absolutely fantastic! I had done a Google search 👌. The service was quick, and the owners were lovely. Everything was homemade, from the main course to the desserts. The prices were quite reasonable. The decor was unique and original. I highly recommend it; we loved it and, of course, the food was delicious. The baby squid with chorizo ​​was a real treat ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ flawless, and the blueberry tart 😋 I'll let you taste it for yourselves 🍽

If you love seafood and fish, go for it without hesitation! 🦪 The ingredients are fresh, perfectly prepared, and incredibly flavorful. 👌 Everything was delicious from the appetizer to the dessert! 08/09/2026: A first-class, high-quality menu at an absolutely fair price – we were thrilled! We had previously checked out the neighboring restaurants, but none of them really impressed us – neither the ambiance nor the food that was carried past us. Many felt rather touristy. At Chez Eliette, on the other hand, there were many locals dining, and we even struck up conversations with them. They keep coming back – and for me, that's a very special compliment. The service – several very friendly women and a young man – was exceptionally warm, efficient, and competent. We started with the "Eliette" seafood platter, featuring oysters, pink and gray prawns, bulgur wheat, bulgur wheat, and, as a highlight, crab claws. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious – exactly as you would want it! Afterwards, we shared a sole meunière with delicate potatoes. We were able to easily swap the offered basmati rice for potatoes. And a delicate beurre blanc with fresh herbs – so simple, so fresh, and so good! Paired perfectly with a local Entre-Deux-Mers. To finish, a café gourmand with a fantastic selection of homemade desserts in tasting portions – the perfect ending. A small note regarding some reviews: Anyone who gives one star because their small dog isn't allowed in the restaurant, or orders a fish soup and then complains out of ignorance that there's no bouillabaisse from Marseille, perhaps simply has the wrong expectations for such an authentic place. 😉 In any case, we give it a clear 5 stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

14/05/2026: A mixed experience at Cin5. The welcome and the interactive tasting menu were fantastic; you really feel at ease in this intimate setting. However, the taste and culinary creativity we expected from a Michelin-starred restaurant fell short. We had specified our dietary restrictions (no fish or pork), and we were surprised to find that the ingredients were simply removed from the plate without being replaced to maintain the balance of flavors. The promise of Mauritian cuisine lacked originality here. A lovely evening in a beautiful setting, but a gastronomic disappointment.
