26/09/2024: What a great discovery! Frankly the best (and biggest) rib of beef and Basque ciders that we have had the chance to discover and all that at a very fair price. A big thank you to Joël our server who accompanied us very well during our meal.

You should know that the menu available on the internet is no longer up to date... today it is offered a single dish (rib of beef) in two different menus to choose from (with different starters and desserts), and unlimited cider for 35€, or 39€ depending on the formula chosen But we really enjoyed it, it was excellent from start to finish, and very generous in portions! And helping yourself to the barrels of different ciders adds a fun side and the waiter who advises us is very nice, thank you we had a good time!

13/08/2024: Avoir une table à l’extérieur mais près de cuisine avec la porte ouverte vu la chaleur n’était pas l’endroit idéal pour apprécier le repas. Le service n’était pas au top, erreur dans la commande des boissons, entrée oubliée pour une personne. Par contre le personnel était très sympathique et souriant.

20/09/2024: Very pleasant hotel, well decorated, very well located. The staff is very welcoming and the rooms are quite functional. Only small downside: the air freshener in the bathroom smelled very strong, which can trigger major migraines for people sensitive to odors like me (and there was no shortage of that...). Other than that, everything was perfect. For those who are hesitant, the breakfast is definitely worth it!

Les hamburgers sont bons, la salle agréable, le serveur sympathique, la playlist bien choisie...que demander de plus...une vue mer peut-être ?... nous l'avions !!... choisissez la table de 2 au fond de la salle... On recommande cette adresse, nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

19/09/2024: Nice place on the Bayonne riverfront. I really appreciate restaurants with fixed price menus even in the evening and in this case the proposal was really high quality, with just the right portions to happily get to dessert!

17/09/2024: My family and I stopped here for dinner and we had really high hopes, the reviews online looked really good and we were excited to try traditional local food. We started with the fois gras, and I went to the bathroom to wash my hands however by the time I came back the waiter was already back taking our main entree meals. I wasn’t ready to order so I told him that I needed an extra second to decide and to come back however he said that the kitchen was closing and that he couldn’t come back. Normally I would understand but it was 45 minutes before their official closing time and I felt super pressured which led me to order a burger because it was the first thing I saw. On top of this the same waiter continuously checked his watch and was incredibly eager to go home. I would understand if we were the last customers in the restaurant but it was still more than half full at this time and other tables hadn’t even ordered yet. The fois gras wasn’t too bad however the waiter didn’t tell us how small the portion size was, which made it hard to share between all of us. My family ordered the menu with an entree, main course and dessert. The entrees we received tasted okay at best, however the portion sizes were downsized compared to the rest of the menu which I felt was pretty predatory but nevertheless understandable considering the difference in price. Regardless I was more hopeful for the main courses however I was quickly disappointed by my burger which was incredibly dry, and as seen in one of the pictures the sauce and caramelized onions were all bunched up in one spot of the burger leaving most of it dry and flavorless and one bite of it incredibly overpowering. The bread was super dry and irritated the roof of my mouth which was very unappealing. Additionally the fries were way overcooked and I felt like I almost broke my teeth while eating them. The salad was once again okay at best because it was frankly flavorless and their “vinaigrette” was just mayonnaise. The fish that my sister had ordered had absolutely no flavor, the sauce that was left over wasn’t even worth scooping up with bread. I was happy that the chef accommodated my other sister, who is vegetarian, and let us change out the main course with a vegetarian option. She got the truffle mushroom ravioli which was the only good tasting thing we had that night, so maybe the chef should stick to vegetarian dishes. Another thing that irked me a lot was that towards the end of our meal, when the waiter started putting the chairs up they put the feet of the chairs directly on the table top (as seen in the pictures). Not only is this probably a health violation but it’s simply disgusting who would want to eat on the same table where the feet of the chairs stay?! I’m not sure if we got unlucky or came too close to closing, but I would definitely not recommend this place if you come within 3 hours of closing or you have a very high chance of getting rushed out. I also wouldn’t recommend being the first in the restaurant because I doubt they clean the tables after taking the dirty chair feet off of them.

15/09/2024: Wonderful reasonably priced quiet room, great ocean view, extremely comfortable bed, super nice staff. Would definitely come back.

13/08/2024: While passing through Biarritz, we came for a coffee in this establishment and continued for dinner. To our great surprise, the establishment accepts dogs, despite the imposing size of my greyhound. Very pleasant and smiling staff and delicious meals. Nothing to say then.
