20/07/2026: It's been a very long time since I've enjoyed a traditional baguette of this caliber! A thousand times bravo! Bakeries that put on a show with their decor but serve bread that's nothing special are everywhere. Bakeries like yours, simple and authentic, with the taste of well-crafted work, are sadly much rarer. In short, don't change a thing. We'll be back tomorrow!

11/07/2026: I stopped at this bakery while passing through, based on customer reviews. I ordered a well-baked wholemeal loaf and ended up with an undercooked, sticky loaf in the middle, inedible...

05/08/2026: The owners are incredibly friendly and, above all, always smiling. Even when the place seems packed, they manage to serve you quickly and always pleasantly! A real feat! While the service at some shops sometimes pushes you towards the self-service lockers, here it's the complete opposite. You can't help but think that if the inventor of the lockers had met Jimmy and his wife beforehand, he would have abandoned his project. Thank you to them for promoting their profession, and long live local businesses!

05/06/2026: The construction trades know this place well and come to this friendly restaurant to refuel for the afternoon. You feel right at home in the welcoming, family atmosphere where people chat cheerfully with one another. The service is quick and efficient. The menu is generous and reasonably priced for fresh, carefully selected, and well-prepared ingredients. The daily special when we had lunch there was an excellent brandade de morue (salt cod purée). You can go there expecting a hearty meal at a very reasonable price.

20/04/2026: We went for lunch. The menu was limited but the food was delicious. Lovely place with a beautiful backdrop. Extremely friendly people.

29/03/2026: Centrally located with great views. There are several parking lots throughout the town, so it's easy to find parking nearby. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds, and the hotel is quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful. They told us about interesting activities in the area. There's also a lovely little shop selling local products.

26/04/2026: We couldn't even get in for a drink because of the bouncer's attitude. He was arrogant and unpleasant; did the guy think he was a bouncer in Saint-Tropez? And the best part is, he's not even from the area… for a bar frequented only by locals, it's quite funny… I only advise against going there because of the bouncer's attitude.

01/07/2026: A friendly team who take great care of the spotless dining room. The Caesar salad is excellent with a delicious, slightly peppery dressing and whole-grain croutons. The still-warm dark chocolate cookie was a real treat! Thank you for this lovely meal break, I'll be back! 😋

21/05/2026: Chez Chilo succeeds mainly in demonstrating that a high price can perfectly coexist with a very ordinary experience. Between a dark dining room, soulless decor, and a welcome that feels intrusive, the setting unfortunately does nothing to redeem it. The dishes themselves remain desperately mediocre considering the prices charged: little flavor, little originality, and above all, no justification for the advertised price. You leave with the impression of having paid the bill at a fine restaurant for an experience that never rises above the level of a run-of-the-mill brasserie.

06/05/2026: Stayed at Hôtel Berria and had a great experience. The location is excellent—set amidst the lush, green surroundings of Hasparren, offering a peaceful atmosphere while still feeling well connected. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. The food was a highlight, with delicious Basque flavors that felt authentic and thoughtfully prepared. A lovely place to relax and truly enjoy the stay.

22/03/2026: A beautifully decorated room, with many thoughtful touches upon arrival (Basque cake, complimentary drinks in the refrigerator). The peaceful Basque countryside. A superb breakfast with the chef personally bringing the eggs and bacon – very classy!

29/07/2026: After staying at the Cabanes du Lac, we discovered the Courbet restaurant, which we highly recommend. Whether you choose the daily menu or the à la carte options, our taste buds will remember it. Remember to book! 😉

It has a varied menu, and all the dishes we ate were delicious. The staff is welcoming and attentive to guests. We would particularly like to thank Ms. Elise for her kindness, helpfulness, professionalism, thoughtfulness, and sense of humor. A great find; we will be back!
