17/05/2026: Excellent value for money. Very good breakfast, the cheese platter is a nice touch. A slight scare upon arrival due to no one being there to greet us, but everything was quickly sorted out.

12/05/2026: We had booked 6 months in advance with a box, the hotel was full but the owner had thought of everything and relocated us to a gîte, a real haven of peace, very beautiful setting, nothing to see, pleasant owner and the staff of the hotel du faisan very welcoming.

23/07/2026: A small Lebanese restaurant located on Rue Colbert in Tours, offering typical dishes made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The portions were a bit small. Fast service and a smile were a bonus! A great find. My only regret: having to eat outside on the opposite side of the street (due to lack of space) and the excessive traffic and noise.

24/05/2026: Family owed business. Fantastic food. Everything was perfect. The service was superb, friendly and attentive. The place is small but cosy. The kitchen is tiny, but they manage to deliver great food! Thank you for a great night in Tours.

07/07/2026: How has everyone not given this place 5 stars?? This was an exceptional meal and truly the definition of farm to table. All of our food was cooked perfectly and the flavors were complex. The food was hearty but we didn’t leave feeling too full or heavy. Everything we ate came directly from the farm and you could tell. The freshness was unmatched. It was the most relaxing lunch with the perfect amount of time between the courses. Also, don’t skip on their wine! The bottle of Cabernet Franc we enjoyed from their grapes was the perfect pairing for our food and was fresh, juicy, and bright. A friend of ours told us this restaurant was a “must stop” and he was right. If you’re in the area, it is well worth the visit, you won’t be disappointed.

04/07/2026: A charming and very pleasant place, peaceful and away from the cities, with a lovely park, yet close to the major destinations of this beautiful Loire Valley. A welcoming and humorous host who, despite our booking error (listed as 2027 instead of 2026), found us a very nice room. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Look no further if you are in the area. We will be back.

23/05/2026: A very bad experience. We arrived around 9:20 a.m., just after opening, and weren't served until 10:40 a.m., even though the restaurant was practically empty. And all that for three half-baguettes with scrambled eggs. We had ordered three brunch bread/scrambled egg dishes, but the eggs released a lot of water, which was really unpleasant. An elderly English couple sitting next to us didn't understand the menu or the service, and the staff made no effort to help them or translate. I had to explain it myself. We had also ordered two iced teas, but we received two grenadine syrups. Then, when we heard the kitchen opening, we realized the waitress didn't even know what iced tea was and just served a random drink. I absolutely do not recommend this establishment.

31/07/2026: Terrible burgers: dry, tasteless and overcooked meat, no sauce inside, a stale piece of unmelted, industrial goat cheese, frozen fries... all for the modest sum of €19. Very noisy place. The only positive point was the friendly staff.

03/07/2026: When you eat at Le Vouvrillon, you have a choice of two starters, two main courses, and I think two or three desserts. That's a guarantee of fresh food! It's always well-prepared. Orders are taken quickly, and the service is too. The owner is incredibly friendly! There's a lovely shaded terrace with trees and parasols.

26/06/2026: The owner is lucky: he doesn't have to accommodate any guests in his empty restaurant. He turned me away twice. You can get away with that when you don't need to make money.

10/12/2025: I had a pleasant stay. The staff was excellent. The restaurant service was quick and the food was good value for money. As for the room, it was perfectly adequate, just what you'd expect when staying in a hotel. I recommend it for a stopover in the Loire Valley!

05/06/2026: I recently dined at Château de Beaulieu, eager to discover the restaurant's atmosphere, its cuisine, and to enjoy the setting, which is indeed very pleasant. The dishes were sophisticated and beautifully presented, with a real focus on flavor combinations. However, I felt the seasoning sometimes lacked character. I would have appreciated slightly bolder, more vibrant flavors to better showcase the dishes. My main regret, however, concerns the ordering experience. Being a foodie and wanting to explore more of the menu, I asked to order two courses, which was refused. This made me uncomfortable and unfortunately impacted the rest of my meal. My intention wasn't to waste food, but simply to fully enjoy the gastronomic experience offered. So, it's an establishment with a beautiful setting and refined cuisine, but this restriction regarding ordering somewhat marred my experience.

09/05/2026: Overcooked, tasteless pasta – “yes, but some customers don’t like salt,” except this was just bland, the kind of pasta you’d find at 6 a.m. after a night out, forgotten in water. The waffle was drier than the waitress, and the St. Moret cheese and smoked salmon were the kind you can get at Franprix. Typical Monday night meal after work, too lazy to do anything more. For €18 a dish, keep walking. A quick McDonald’s will always be better, and at least you won’t be eating between your swimsuits and shoes.
