18/05/2026: We made a reservation a week before our arrival, and at the appointed time, there were no tables available on a Sunday lunchtime, which was also the birthday of one of our guests. This is not very reasonable or customer-friendly, and there was no solution offered.

16/05/2026: We were very disappointed with our experience at Le Jardin des Roches restaurant. To begin with, the positive point: the waitress was pleasant, smiling, and offered good advice. Unfortunately, this wasn't enough to make up for the rest. As for the meal, the foie gras was completely bland, without any seasoning. Honestly, it tasted like butter, tasteless and devoid of character. The seven-hour leg of lamb was served in a minuscule portion: a small ball of meat, acceptable but far from exceptional, accompanied by barely two spoonfuls of vegetables. The cheese plate looked more like a selection bought at a supermarket than a true gourmet restaurant offering. As for the desserts, they clearly tasted like they had been defrosted and were unremarkable. Another major drawback: the dining room. It was so cold that we had to keep our coats on during the meal. The windows near our table were dirty, which reinforced the overall impression of neglect. And all this for over €100 for two… plus, we still felt hungry when we left the restaurant. Even worse: stomach pain all night after the meal, which also explains this review. Finally, the chef spent most of his time chatting with customers near the kitchen rather than inspiring confidence in the quality and freshness of the food served. An experience we absolutely do not recommend.

24/03/2026: During my visit to Le Pékin restaurant, I found it to be full of flavor, tradition, and a warm atmosphere. Being Asian myself, I ordered the beef stir-fried noodles, and they were absolutely to my liking! I'll be back!

22/03/2026: I had the Thai salad, which was very good, then the sweet and sour shrimp, which was awful. I ate two forkfuls before leaving... it was like eating a can of food, it's unbelievable. They really need to review their star rating! Last time I'm going there.

02/08/2025: What a shame, it used to be a great place with delicious tapas: bread with tomato, Spanish charcuterie, potatoes with aioli... It's all gone, replaced by Galland's own vacuum-packed products, which we weren't told about or even seen... disappointing, especially since the terrace by the river is lovely... It's just a bar now... Proof: Saturday night concert in 15 minutes, it's empty!

25/04/2026: Hello, I strongly advise against this restaurant on all counts. I arrived at 9:30 PM for a meal on a Saturday (which, according to Google, closes at midnight). The welcome was icy; they seated us near the restrooms even though the entire dining room was available. The waitress told us to order very quickly because they were about to leave (great for waiters!). The head waiter, a tall man, was the worst waiter I've ever seen in my life—sorry, but he should find another line of work… Anyway, the cocktails were rushed, and our order arrived five minutes later… so we didn't order dessert because we were bothering them… Moral of the story: don't come here, or completely change your staff (and change your hours, because being open until midnight when they say they close at 10 PM is pushing it).

10/12/2025: I had a pleasant stay. The staff was excellent. The restaurant service was quick and the food was good value for money. As for the room, it was perfectly adequate, just what you'd expect when staying in a hotel. I recommend it for a stopover in the Loire Valley!

31/05/2026: We went to celebrate my mother-in-law's 90th birthday at a restaurant for Mother's Day lunch. The starter was a sea bream ceviche: too much of a mix of flavors, and you couldn't taste the fish anymore, overpowering the coconut milk, ginger, and raspberry ice cream. For the main course, it was duck breast with a red fruit sauce and vegetable waffles with foie gras espuma: we could barely eat the duck breast because it was overcooked and the combination of flavors was off, and the waffles were dry. Very disappointed. The starter, main course, cheese, and dessert, a strawberry cake, were all good. Frankly, it's not worth €90 per person at all; I absolutely do not recommend the restaurant. As for the establishment itself, the location is very pleasant, with a beautiful view, and our waiter was excellent.

30/05/2026: Very nicely appointed historical Chateau over looking the Lore Valley with Castle views in the distance Pleasant helpful staff and plenty of parking. Huge rooms with nice linens. We chose a room in one of the guest cottages and were delighted with the renovation and large deck overlooking the valley. Easy drive up access to unload bags and then park in the lots kept the secluded feel in tact Enjoyed drinks on the veranda overlying the Pool at the rear of the hotel and enjoyed both dinner and breakfasts which were tasty and unique This isn’t a property to stay at and walk into to town , but the gardens, pool and amenities keep your mind happy right where you are. Relaxing and elegant place. As nice for a romantic get away as for a family excursion

14/05/2026: I stumbled upon this little restaurant by the lake and, despite the rainy weather, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere very pleasant, and the staff were fantastic. I highly recommend this establishment.
