The team is friendly, energetic, and incredibly attentive (we were a party of 15, so we sat at two tables with 8 adults and 7 children). The quality of the food: The galettes are delicious, perfectly crispy, and filled with fresh ingredients. You can tell everything is homemade! In short: A perfect experience from start to finish. 01/11/2025: We had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday and my parents' birthday. The service and cuisine were exceptional. The five-course wine pairing menu was magnificent, bursting with flavor. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Special mention goes to the sommelier, who was very professional and passionate about her work. One of the best restaurants in Nantes, easily rivaling Michelin-starred establishments.

18/10/2025: A real favorite in Clisson! We had a wonderful time at Au Pied des Escaliers. The welcome was warm and sincere, and the owner was very friendly, always with a smile and a lot of kindness! The dishes are delicious, homemade, and beautifully presented. The setting is typical of Clisson, and the atmosphere is friendly. I recommend this place without hesitation; you really feel at home there.

05/07/2025: If you are not ready to consume: aperitif + starter + main course + wine + dessert + coffee + digestif then do not go! The waiters / waitresses will make it clear that you are not consuming enough. This makes the atmosphere heavy... And it's a shame because the food is really excellent! And the setting very pleasant.

04/12/2025: You might need a little time to adjust to the waiter's (very dry) style, but don't be fooled: he's anything but rude. The dining room can get a bit noisy when it fills up, but that's to be expected at all good restaurants. After all, an enticing menu, generous and beautifully presented dishes, all at a very affordable price and served without waiting—frankly, it would be a shame if it didn't attract a crowd! I recommend this place for both lunch and dinner.

13/01/2026: A concept perfectly suited to lovers of Guérande, a chef who takes us on his most refined culinary journeys, relaxed and quick service, a rustic yet modern and utterly charming setting on a wonderful little shaded square at the foot of the ramparts. We savored a surprisingly fresh and divinely refreshing fusion-style salad and a decadent chocolate fondant. Bravo and thank you!!! I must highlight the warm welcome from the entire team... we'll definitely be back next time for a tagine... Keep smiling!

25/01/2026: A very warm welcome. The service was too fast for my liking; we hadn't even finished our cocktails before the main courses arrived. As for the food, the quantity was there, but the flavor was lacking (vegetables and sauces; not enough simmering to give them any real taste). The previous owners used to make delicious couscous. Judge for yourself. A beautiful place and a wonderful welcome; exceptionally kind. All the best to you.

26/01/2025: The museum cafeteria is not intended for tourists. From 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. you can only have lunch there and the Sunday I went there was fully booked. I couldn't even drink a coffee or a glass of water. I had to go out into the wind and rain and go to the station to get something to drink... Too bad.

30/01/2026: I loved it: the friendly staff, the atmosphere, the creativity, the reasonably sized menu, the homemade bread, the discovery aspect, and the little freebies at the beginning. What I liked less: the sweetbreads were too salty for my taste, the dish was lukewarm, lacked crispness, the pigeon leg was too small, I was hungry when I got home, the starter was tiny, the wine by the glass was overpriced for the small amount served (10cl max?), no option to buy a bottle, filtered water was extra even though it's allowed, and the final bill...

19/12/2025: Exquisite food at reasonable prices! A mouthwatering wine list (Rayas under €400, Guiberteau, Btretaudeau, etc.). Attentive service, and the chef even joined us for a while at our table. A real gem! Can't wait to return.

28/01/2026: A magnificent place to enjoy a seaside stay. The hotel is welcoming and pleasant, and the spa offers a relaxing and pampering experience. The restaurant's cuisine is delicious and refined, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I highly recommend the Eco Domaine La Fontaine.
