11/03/2026: The atmosphere could have been quite nice with friends, except the fish and chips on the menu ruined everything because they weren't up to scratch. The labeling of the origin of ALL the meats isn't immediately obvious to customers. The cooking style is deep-fried, with a characteristic taste, and what's more... they're far too oily—so much for calorie counting! See the latest photos added for the traditional cooking method... Here, it seems profitability takes precedence; no dry-cured ham, just a basic, entry-level ham on the menu, like in a bistro in Saint-Étienne that I know very well... and which gets its cheap pâté-style product from Metro. I often say that a professional's garbage is a good indicator, even if their name isn't Bertrand 😊. Oh, and I almost forgot, the poor-quality fresh cheese called Sarasson is served as an extra charge. Overall, it's poor value for money because even the fries 🍟 in the children's menu, which cost around €10, had a sour taste. We regretted the trip, especially the fuel and the bill 👓. For visitors, the typical viewpoint of the town is from Guizay towards La Ricamarie.

21/02/2026: Returning to celebrate a birthday at this wonderful restaurant was a delight. The daily menu was a surprise, offering something for everyone. We received a very warm welcome and enjoyed delicious dishes in a beautiful setting that blends modernity, simplicity, and comfort! The menu featured a light and slow-cooked wild boar terrine with a bouquet of fennel, seared octopus with a southern flair and vegetables, and a gourmet tea that truly tantalized our taste buds! Thank you: we will definitely be back!

19/02/2026: I spent 50 minutes there for an "open mic" supposedly open to all styles. The reality: it was impossible to play music from a USB drive; only regulars with their instruments were allowed. If "open mic" means "reserved for the Sunday crowd," they should just say so. It would save others from wasting their time. Luckily, Hugo found a solution so I could sing. Finally: - A wine glass from a box costs €5 - A particularly condescending regular made a sarcastic comment about the "bad reviews" (referring to the USB drive issue) Advice to the bar's star regulars: when you're worried about negative reviews, start by focusing on hospitality and respect.

27/12/2025: The pros: Very spacious and functional gîte: 8 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and toilet. Large covered terrace. Lovely setting. Very welcoming. The cons: For those not eating at the inn (which is closed in winter), preparing meals for 15 people is difficult: Lack of dishes, utensils, and pans; Insufficient cooktop for the number of people; Dishwasher not properly secured, risking breakage; No supplies available: soap, dishwashing liquid, paper towels. A few blankets are needed for winter. Far too few sofas for a group. In conclusion, this gîte has a lot of potential, and with a few improvements, it would be perfect.
