31/08/2024: Friendly welcome from the restaurant, fast and smiling service despite the crowds, good value for money. For an unpretentious meal it's ideal.

30/08/2024: Visiting in the morning, I made a reservation for 6 people, lunch service. Friendly welcome by the lady at the counter who confirmed to me that the cuisine was homemade, especially the mussels and fries (Wimereux mussels and fresh fries). Having seen some unfavorable reviews, I took the liberty of going back before the service to speak with one of the staff who reassured me about the quality and quantity of the dishes served. So we had lunch and indeed, everything went well from the aperitif to the dessert. So nothing to say about this first experience. We will definitely return. I would like to point out that the exchanges were courteous and that the person with whom I had exchanged even came to see us during the meal to make sure everything was going well. I took the liberty of congratulating them at the end of the meal. To make matters worse, the bill was reasonable. The mussels are very good, the fries are fresh and well cooked and the ice cream is great. THANKS.

27/05/2024: Que dire ?? des chouquettes sans aucun goût ... et les gâteaux !! une frangipane à la poire : aucun goût et la poire dure, très dure. Industriel à souhait !!! C'est sûr je voulais goûter c'est fait je retournerai à ma boulangerie traditionnelle ...

27/05/2024: D une saleté repoussante à toute épreuve de la salle aux toilettes. Pour un lieu à l accueil alimentaire c est vraiment pas top. Je n irai plus de ce fait. Dommage les denrées sont bonnes.

14/12/2025: Been here several times, last time a couple of days ago. Super friendly service. No matter how late I check-in to this hotel, I am greeted with a smile and check-in is done within a minute. Nice rooms, decently sized. Very nice breakfast with the same friendly service. Ample parking space which also boasts several 150kW & 300kW chargers for EVs. Minutes away for the Eurotunnel terminal. Warmly recommend this hotel.

01/12/2024: We waren welkom met ons klein teckeltje en dat deed ons veel plezier. Een rustige tafel voor 2 achteraan. Verse vis en dito burger. Water en koffie, samen 49 eur, wat correct was!

02/08/2024: What a disappointment… meal last night. Happy to be together as a family around - we hoped - an exceptional meal. This is the memory we had about 4 years ago. Well, we left with the intention of never coming back. Gloomy reception. Very very poor service - amateur and poor quality. Flavorless meal. Tomato starter? Nothing exceptional in terms of taste and preparation. For example, the duck breast was not pink as advertised and difficult to cut and tasteless. Dessert puffs? Too sweet, mushy. Without interest. No carafe of water on the table why? Bread sparingly. Icy atmosphere - discreet but well-chosen music to mark summer, right? Best wishes.

19/07/2024: Very disappointed by the telephone response from the receptionist “Candice” when we called to let them know we were 10 minutes late! She also did not inform the restaurant of our call. In addition, we were taken directly to the terrace even though we wanted to have lunch inside…. Brief ! Unprofessional attitude! Regarding the meal, disappointed by the very rubbery “monkfish” fish and too salty accompaniment. The famous “CD” cabbages really nothing exceptional! Brief ! Very poor quality/price ratio: €30 for a main course and a dessert! We preferred when it was before Alice’s garden! It’s changed a lot!

12/09/2024: We arrived full of optimism. The frites were ok - the steak, the duck, the weird prawn and cheese concoction were all inedible. BTW. sprinkling sesame seeds over congealed gravy does not elevate a dish. It just makes it look weird.

10/09/2024: Cadre chaleureux Service sympathique De la cuisine bistrot de très bon niveau, de la viande d’excellente qualité et un petit vin qui accompagne bien. Nous avons passé une excellente soirée

31/08/2024: We went there yesterday with a two year old child. Very pleasant service and welcome. The staff is helpful and very classy. They aim for the well-being of the customers, even that of our two-year-old. I recommend, the food is excellent. The wait is not too long.

03/08/2024: All entries are around €20, which is still expensive. Everything is good, but disappointed by the dessert which was canned pear, and charlotte biscuit not dry. Why not make a charlotte with seasonal fruit?

06/12/2024: Accueil très sympathique de l'équipe aux petits soins pour les clients. Les plats sont excellents, produits frais et de qualité. Les desserts sont faits maison ! les profiteroles et crème brulée : un délice ! Prix "normal" pour la qualité demandée : Poulet au maroilles 16.80 €..... crème brulée 5.50. Frites maison également ! Nous y retournerons : il vaut mieux réserver !

14/11/2024: We had a lovely lunch at La Taverne De Duchenot today for my partners birthday. When we arrived it was just after midday and it was nice to see lots of locals enjoying lunch. Both of the waiters that served us were extremely polite and their English was very good. We both chose the lunchtime offer of 3 courses from a set menu for €21.90. The charcuterie board starter was very nice and the steak with shallot sauce was also excellent. The dessert choices were chocolate mousse or cafe gourmand. We both chose the cafe gourmand and it was delicious. Overall we had a very pleasant lunch and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Saint-Omer.
