03/06/2026: A short but excellent stay at the Hôtel Restaurant Tante Yvonne! The hotel has a lot of charm, in a calm and pleasant setting. The welcome was particularly warm and professional, with attentive staff throughout our stay. The room was spacious, comfortable, very clean, and perfectly equipped. A real plus during our stay was the air conditioning in the room, which was especially welcome during the intense heat we experienced in May. It was a real bonus that allowed us to have a good night's sleep in a cool environment. Special mention for the restaurant: refined and generous cuisine with excellent service. The breakfast was complete and varied—a real treat! A truly wonderful place that we highly recommend and where we will gladly return!

29/08/2026: Way too expensive for what you get. €60 for a platter and two courses when there are excellent bouchons in Lyon for around €20 for a starter, main course, and dessert, and you'd get your money's worth. The waitress was really unfriendly; we felt like we were bothering her, we felt pressured, we almost wanted to eat our dessert outside. It's a shame because, if I remember correctly, the food was really good there a few months ago... now it's gone down in both quality AND quantity. Personally, I won't be going back.

04/08/2026: Excellent home cooking by Pascal and Christophe. Anne, the owner, is very warm and welcoming. She LOVES ANIMALS. So if you have a dog there...it's welcome...with a bowl of water to greet it...❤️🙏. The staff is friendly, and there's hardly any wait for your food. Parking is easy across the street, on the Parilly Park side. IMPORTANT WHEN YOU'RE WORKING, no time wasted getting back to work...The bartender speaks a bit loudly. He sometimes puts his hand to his ear like the singer (for those of us who remember him) Gilbert Bécaud, aka Monsieur Mille Volts 😁. He's very pleasant with his southern accent...a taste of vacation. I highly recommend this place. A place where social connection and kindness still exist...This world really needs it.

03/07/2026: We wanted to eat at this brasserie. The wait was very reasonable, and the selection was satisfactory. Since the one I had chosen was no longer available, I opted for another salad. When it arrived, I told the waiter, "Well, it's not going to be possible to eat this." The young man, very surprised, looked at me and asked, "You did order this salad, right?" "Yes, but I don't want what's in it!" (A huge fly...). He brought the plate back, but given how quickly it was done, I think he just removed the fly, but didn't change or remake the plate. So, I don't think I'll go back, nor recommend this brasserie... because I have serious doubts about the hygiene. One of my friends' dishes had undercooked ingredients...

05/08/2026: If you’re visiting Lyon and looking for a café with outstanding service and a wonderful atmosphere, this is the place to go. What truly made this café special was the incredible customer service. The staff were exceptionally friendly, dedicated, and genuinely cared about making every guest happy. They were even willing to customize drinks and food based on personal preferences, even if it wasn’t exactly listed on the menu. That level of flexibility and care is something you rarely find. The café itself was spotless. Every single table was perfectly clean without a single mark or crumb in sight. The indoor air conditioning made it a comfortable place to relax, especially on a warm day. The view is another highlight. From the café you can enjoy a beautiful view of a castle with the French flag proudly flying, creating a truly authentic French atmosphere. The interior design is stylish, modern, and full of French charm. One detail I especially loved was the creative artwork featuring the number “69”—a fun and memorable touch that fits Lyon perfectly. The location is also excellent. Right nearby there’s a casino if you’re in the mood for some entertainment after your coffee, as well as a clothing store if you’d like to do a bit of shopping. I would recommend this café to absolutely everyone—tourists, locals, families, friends, couples, and honestly anyone looking for a great place to relax. If cafés could be rated by every species, I’m sure even birds, rabbits, cows, and chameleons would give this place five stars. Overall, this café combines exceptional service, a beautiful atmosphere, immaculate cleanliness, stunning views, and an excellent location. Without a doubt, it’s one of the places I’ll make sure to visit again the next time I’m in Lyon

03/07/2026: Very disappointed. The service was impeccable, the owner extremely friendly, and the atmosphere very pleasant, plus they offered halal meat. However, the food was disappointing. I ate there twice and was let down each time by the dishes, which I found rather bland, even when ordering the daily specials. I do not recommend it.

05/09/2026: Very disappointing. The pastry was tempting because it was pretty; I should have just kept looking at it. It had no taste and seemed stale. It's a real shame.

30/08/2026: I bought a flan, brownie, and cheesecake; they were all bland, and the cheesecake was the worst I've ever had. Absolutely incomparable to a real cheesecake; the taste and texture were completely indescribable.

31/08/2026: The welcome was poor from beginning to end. Upon arrival, the staff barely greeted us, too busy chatting amongst themselves. We were seated with barely concealed annoyance, as if our presence there was somehow inconvenient. There was no consideration whatsoever, the service was cold, and there was a blatant lack of professionalism. Hospitality is, after all, the foundation of any restaurant. This establishment should be avoided if you're looking for a pleasant experience.

11/09/2026: Platy-Blonde was a smooth and crisp light ale, and the L’Outrance was a delicious citrusy IPA. Kind staff, and a great charcuterie board made this a wonderful evening. Can’t wait to go back!

22/08/2026: If you're closed on a Saturday night at 22:00 in August, change your hours on Google Maps. If you're on holiday, you can write something on a piece of paper and use Scotch-tape® to fix it to the window and let potential customers know you'll be closed.

05/09/2026: We often walk past it and had lunch there quite by chance this past Saturday. It was very good, the service was very friendly, and the back courtyard was lovely. I loved the frog legs; I'm a big fan and I don't remember ever having any so good! In short, a great place in Croix-Rousse! I highly recommend it.

29/08/2026: What a discovery! ...Attracted by the restaurant's facade and the owner's friendliness, we first visited this unusual place (you'll have to discover it for yourself!). Given the atmosphere and the delicious food, we decided to stay, and we didn't regret it in the slightest. Everything was top-notch, from the food to the service to the decor and the ambiance. Pure bliss! I highly recommend this restaurant.

06/08/2026: The restaurant "La Belle Colombe" is a superb, spacious restaurant located in the Bellecombe district of Villeurbanne. I chose two dishes: - For red meat, they only had Black Angus sirloin steak that day, accompanied by vegetables and homemade fries (it's one or the other as a side, but I chose both to balance the meal), with a bell pepper sauce. => A meat that I recognized as Black Angus, perfectly cooked. Classic. - For white meat, a chicken supreme, which is a very prominent chicken leg rolled up. A well-defined mushroom sauce. Perfect. The only point to note regarding the "vegetable" side dish: in the end, only green beans were served. Ideally, they should offer a variety of vegetables. This doesn't detract from the excellent service in the slightest. The waiter was fantastic and the chef very attentive. Good job!
