16/05/2026: A very pleasant surprise! Visiting Le Havre with my daughter, she recommended this restaurant. The lady gave us a superb welcome, and we enjoyed a very good meal with plenty of choice. I highly recommend it.

09/05/2026: Hello, We've known this restaurant for years. We came last year and while we ate well, we were a little disappointed. We came back to try it again. We weren't disappointed! Excellent and very fresh. I find the sizes of the sushi, California rolls, and sashimi to be just right and not too big. We enjoyed them more that way. In fact, the sashimi is very good (sea bream, salmon, and tuna). The price is very reasonable. We recommend it and used to go once or twice a month. Furthermore, the staff is really friendly. Thank you.

Incredible terrace, fantastic staff, all services in one place, whether you want to enjoy an aperitif in the sun or savor a delicious daily special. A nice bonus: live music on Thursdays 😉😉😉 Highly recommended

17/06/2026: A kitchen that smells wonderfully homemade… and above all, delicious! You can tell the fish didn't die for nothing :-)) The dishes are varied, with several fish options and different homemade sauces: brown butter, tarragon, shellfish… a real treat. The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and kind, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. We even went back the next day just for the pleasure of it! A big thank you, we will gladly return.

23/06/2026: We had lunch as a family before going to the cinema. We asked if it would be possible to eat in 1 hour and 30 minutes. No problem. The restaurant wasn't full, the service was quite fast, and the food was decent. We had four set menus with desserts, including three children's menus with a chocolate sundae. 25 minutes before the show, we asked if it would be possible to order the desserts and two coffees at the same time. Again, no problem. The desserts were a little slow, but we waited, and when the waitress arrived with the crepe, we reminded her that we wanted the coffees at the same time as the children's ice cream, as our movie was approaching. She said no problem and spoke to the person making the drinks and ice cream a few meters away. This remark didn't sit well with the waiter behind the bar, who was struggling to prepare the ice cream and made some unpleasant comments, annoyed at having to order the coffees at the same time. He might be angry, disorganized, or simply overwhelmed by the service, but we're right next to him, and he makes several inappropriate remarks and comments, speaking loudly enough for us to hear. The waitress notices and tries to defuse the situation by saying that he's making the coffees and is a bit overwhelmed because he's also making ice cream, which is why he's getting worked up behind the bar. When it comes time to pay, he takes our money. He asks us if everything went well. We pointed out to him that when he's unhappy with something, it's rather inappropriate to make remarks out loud, knowing that we could hear him, that we hadn't asked for anything extraordinary, and that we had remained polite and courteous throughout. He initially feigned surprise and denied the situation, saying he didn't see the problem since we received our coffees at the same time as our ice cream. He didn't apologize, and his manager, who wasn't present when he made his remarks, came to his defense, justifying it by saying that things like that happen in the service industry. It's normal; we must have misunderstood. No one was shocked that he allowed himself this type of reaction and commentary repeatedly, even though we could hear him. We work in the service and retail industry; I would never have spoken like that in front of customers. The waiter's attitude—denying everything and then being condescending, saying he didn't see the problem because we got what we wanted, without acknowledging that he got angry and spoke rudely to us, complaining about our completely simple request—was simply absurd! So, the value for money is decent, and the food is good too, but this kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable when it comes to service!

28/06/2026: The service was remarkably similar to that of a social security office. Customers weren't allowed to choose their seats and had to submit to the waiter's orders. It's a shame, as the food is renowned, but we didn't try it. We preferred to leave. As a result, we had dinner at the competitor, "La Plage," where the cuisine might be less sophisticated, but the welcome was warm and the price was 50 euros cheaper for two people. The chef and owner of "La Plaisance" would benefit from spending more time in the dining room.

27/06/2026: A wonderful experience at lunchtime at La Plaisance. The food was excellent (the gourmet coffee too!) and the service from all the servers was equally impressive. On weekends, I think it's best to make a reservation. I highly recommend it!

28/05/2026: We had dinner at this restaurant. We were more than delighted. The menu offers excellent value for money. The ingredients are fresh and high-quality, and the food is truly delicious. The half lobster was simply succulent. And the tarte tatin flambée with Calvados was divine. The staff is very pleasant.

26/05/2026: We went to celebrate an event and chose this gourmet restaurant that offered vegetarian dishes. It's quite rare to find such a service, and we were eager to see what they would offer. Upon arrival, we were a little disappointed that the menu only offered one dish: "seasonal vegetables." No starters, except for one main course where they offered to remove the fish. We had ordered the vegetable dish; it should be good, right? No, it was just awful! It was the same dish my partner ordered, the sea bass, but they had taken the trouble to remove the fish. There were pieces of carrot, a piece of broccoli, beetroot purée, and apples. Everything was steamed, some of it overcooked. Certainly vegetarian, but not very sophisticated, neither good nor a proper dish. And expensive. Generally, a visit to a restaurant is an opportunity to treat yourself, to eat things you wouldn't prepare at home, to be impressed by the skills of the kitchen staff. I was struck by the audacity of presenting themselves as a vegetarian-friendly restaurant without making the slightest effort to substantiate this claim. I can't comment on the other dishes, but judging by the care they took in preparing the vegetables, I'll let you form your own opinion. I advise the restaurant staff to either remove the claim of being vegetarian-friendly from their website or to genuinely offer vegetarian-friendly service!

28/06/2026: Excellent restaurant! It was the only one we found and we ate very well. We had burgers and they were delicious! The servers were super friendly despite being very busy.

02/07/2026: This restaurant is definitely worth a visit! We had dinner there while passing through Rouen. A varied menu, excellent ingredients, and top-notch service. The terrace, right near the cathedral, is a bonus. Well done to the whole team! 🤗

21/05/2026: I loved almost everything about my stay at the Novotel Le Havre. The staff was welcoming and always ready to meet my needs. The room was clean and the room service was excellent. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was really good with a varied selection. My only issue was the room temperature, as there were no windows (I had a suite, with a door opening onto a balcony in the living area). It was 25°C in the room (I had a thermometer), much too hot to sleep. Around 19°C is recommended for a good night's sleep. I was informed that management doesn't turn on the air conditioning until the end of May. The staff, who unfortunately had no control over turning the air conditioning on, lent me a fan, which allowed me to cool the room when I was out by leaving the balcony door open, but I had to close it at night because of the noise from the street.

17/05/2026: Despite friendly staff, a good location, and comfortable bedding, we had a terrible night due to the stifling heat in the room. Contrary to what is stated on the hotel's information sheet, the air conditioning is completely unavailable (it was turned off because it wasn't hot enough outside, according to the receptionist), and the heat in the rooms is almost unbearable. Not what you'd expect from a 4-star Novotel in this respect.

06/05/2026: We discovered this restaurant tucked away on a small street and we weren't disappointed at all! A warm welcome, top-notch service, and delicious food! The seafood sauerkraut was excellent!!! The "café gourmand" (gourmet coffee) is a great way to sample the desserts on offer (the French toast was divine). Kudos to the chef and his team.

05/05/2026: A great find during our visit to the city. Lovely sunny terrace, warm welcome, quick service, and reasonable prices. Remember to reserve a table if you want a spot on the terrace. Set menu €24.90 (starter, main course, dessert).
