13/12/2025: L'Ours Noir is a must-visit at the Rouen Saint-Romain Fair. We've been going there for years; the roast pork platter is very generous, and the service is quick. Perhaps adding chairs for more comfort than the benches would be a plus.

28/09/2024: Place that we are going to avoid after lunch this afternoon, very very disappointing, a tourist trap with low-end amateur products.... Very disappointed in the attitude of the boss's daughter who prefers to play the politics of ostrich...not even a discount on the bill I strongly advise against this establishment which has lost its dignity its values... Very high prices for eating low-end products!!!

21/08/2024: Bar with a very pleasant terrace. There are concerts there which is very nice. The staff is pleasant and welcoming.

30/08/2024: Un p'tit machin qui paie pas de mine, mais... 1 : il faut penser à réserver ! (oui, il est connu et renommé dans le coin) 2 : c'est très bon. Simple, mais excellent. Le boeuf qui a mijoté pendant plusieurs heures, c'est une merveille. La salade de gésiers, c'est un grand classique. Hyper classique, diront même les esprits chagrins. Mais elle est bonne, tout simplement ! Encornets et grondin, bien cuisinés de la façon locale, c'est bon, et c'est tout ce qu'on demande. Il y a aussi un choix de pizzas, très bonnes elles aussi. Vins locaux. Pas beaucoup de choix, mais ceux que j'ai goûtés étaient très bons. Bravo et merci aux sympathiques propriétaires de ce merveilleux restau !

01/12/2024: Tout d’abord, le service a été extrêmement long : nous avons attendu 1 heure et 20 minutes avant d’être servis. Cela, malgré plusieurs relances auprès du serveur (trois fois pour être exact), ce qui a rendu l’attente encore plus frustrante. Avec seulement une dizaine de commandes en attente et trois serveuses, il est incompréhensible que le service ait été aussi débordé. La compréhension de la carte des choix est très mal pensée pour le client qui arrive pour la 1ère fois, aucune explication. De plus, la qualité des produits a également été décevante : le chocolat chaud était coupé à l’eau, ce qui n’est pas acceptable pour un établissement de ce genre. Nous avons également été surpris qu’il nous ait été imposé de payer une formule cocktail lorsque nous avons simplement voulu commander quatre chocolats chauds avec supplément chantilly. La réponse de la serveuse "c'est notre ancienne carte, elle n'est plus valable" et pourtant elle est présente sur toutes les tables. Une pratique qui ne semble ni claire ni respectueuse des attentes des clients. Enfin, le bar semble miser sur la nostalgie de Friends, mais cela n’est plus vraiment perceptible dans la décoration actuelle. Les tableaux accrochés aux murs n’évoquent pas du tout l’univers de la série, ce qui brise l’identité que le café semble vouloir cultiver. Quand même un TV avec un épisode de Friends mais sur "pause", aucun intérêt. J'espère que l'équipe pourra trouver la motivation pour satisfaire ses clients. En tout cas, pour moi, c'était la 1ere et dernière fois.

20/11/2024: Endroit unique en plein coeur de Rouen, proche cathédrale. Les boissons chaudes sont excellentes, et le cadre est vraiment très agréable !

19/11/2025: We ate there on Saturday during the herring and scallop fair, and what we were served was shameful. It wasn't scallops, but rather overcooked and recooked clams on skewers! And the service! A menu clearly designed to make money during the fair! It's not something to be proud of! We won't be going back, even outside of fair season. A bad move on their part!

16/11/2025: Restaurant not recommended 😡 The waiter was unpleasant and didn't provide proper service. There were no snacks offered. While the other tables behind him were served by another waiter, there was no bread and no mustard. 😡 The food consisted of two dried-out, overcooked herrings that appeared to be reheated, and a single undercooked potato. A small, tasteless piece of apple pie, probably frozen, was served for €16.50. It's a disgrace! 😡 My wife ordered mussels, which were no better, with no juice and a measly handful of fries. For €16.50, we spent two hours being served, and on top of that, we didn't even get a thank you when we paid. It was almost as if we were bothering him! 😡😡😡👎👎

15/09/2024: Une belle surprise ! Des produits frais, un service impeccable et une addition en adéquation avec le tout ! Le burger bbq était très bon, la viande de qualité et les frites maison un délice inimitable !

02/09/2024: We had lunch there yesterday, September 1st. Good welcome. Very decent dishes and reasonable prices. I had a Caesar salad. If there had been a little more sauce it would have been perfect. I didn't dare ask for more.

26/09/2024: Very disappointed by this establishment, especially the salads... No tartare other than prepared in advance, dry piglet when we expect something soft. We will not return there.

09/12/2024: Un menu à 32€ special Noël bien trop cher pour la qualité. Un tartare de crevettes qui casse pas 3 pattes à un canard juste des mini crevettes de l'ail et de la crème liquide. Un plat servi froid... J'attends toujours ma tomate persillée qui étonnamment était bien présente dans les assiettes de mes collègues moi je la cherche encore et la recette du gratin dauphinois serait à revoir les patates n'étaient pas cuites, une crème totalement tranchée et un goût très fort de clou de girofle, pour la présentation on repassera. Pour le dessert il aurait été appréciable d'avoir une bûche qui n'était pas faite pour un édenté.. Uniquement de la mousse et un pauvre biscuit cuillère qui s'excusait d'être là absolument rien à macher. J'ai perdu 32€ aujourd'hui.

17/11/2024: Ça me fait penser ,quand ,j allais souvent manger ,le dimanche midi,avec ma fille, très bon plan, à, recommandé,on y mange très bien, très appétissant,et des patrons très sympathique, à,l époque , où ,j habitais, Caudebec en Caux, année 2007,ça date,😁

15/12/2024: The meat on the kebab pizza is really really really disgusting, impossible to eat it!!! The wings are the same!!! Really a big disappointment. The 2 things we took were disgusting... bad luck or is it always like this??? In any case we remained hungry that evening, we were passing through the region in an air bnb just opposite, too bad it wasn't an option to go back!!!!!!

03/12/2024: Until recently I was satisfied but this is the 5th time that I have been refused delivery even though I live 5 km away and I have always been delivered. Too bad I'm going to employ other businesses who want to satisfy their customers.

25/09/2024: très bon endroit pour manger copieux les salades fraicheur les frites et les saucisses très bonnes les assiettes sont copieuses que dirent aussi des bananas split très bon accueil du personnels a recommander sans souci merci au mois de mars 2024

20/09/2024: Top and fast service despite the crowds The Americans are well stocked as well as the sausage fries. The coffee is very good. Correct price (except for the ice creams, of which the patrol sold for €2.50 while the set of 6 is €1.95 at Auchan, but hey you have to be profitable 😅)

25/11/2025: First and last time...not a very warm welcome, staff barely friendly, polite but not very smiley...expensive dishes for brasserie-style food...hot dishes served lukewarm, almost cold unfortunately, a shame...if you have a good appetite, keep walking, the portions are quite small...

03/11/2025: For the past few years, we've been regulars at this restaurant. The quality-price ratio is exceptional, the dishes are original and varied, and we've never been disappointed. Congratulations on the cuisine! I mustn't forget the service; I've never had a single problem, only positive feedback, always top-notch. I spoke with the head waiter, Laurent, to express our satisfaction with both the service and the food, and to say that I didn't understand the negative reviews on Google. I find these comments shameful and completely unjustified. Congratulations to your team! And thank you again for the wonderful meals.

14/12/2024: We felt like we were disturbing. The waitress wasn't smiling and looked sad. My partner and I had the same dish but when it arrived it was not the same. We had to send back the plate and the next one a little better but we didn't want to overdo it, the meat wasn't tender in my opinion. The buffalo is no longer what it was before....
