26/05/2026: Not having found how to post a review for the restaurant, I'm posting it on the hotel's page. A beautiful house, tastefully and charmingly decorated, we dined in the veranda enjoying a superb sea view—an unforgettable moment. The menu is extensive but not overwhelming; the ingredients are seasonal, locally sourced, and fresh. There are a few original touches and flavors, traditional dishes, a vegetarian option, and a children's menu. There's something for everyone. The service is attentive, the dishes are tasty, well-presented, and well-portioned, except perhaps for the set menu/dish of the day, which, despite the €4 supplement, doesn't quite reach the quality of the other dishes on the menu, which are only slightly more expensive and better presented. Aside from this minor point, our dinner was delightful, and the evening was a great success. Reservations are highly recommended.

31/05/2026: Evening of May 30, 2026. Appalling service. I ordered a cocktail. I was served a completely different drink. The waitress, who was not at all customer-oriented, brought me the cocktail, slightly altered but nothing more, and then asked me to pay. Avoid at all costs! When we complained again to the waitress, Polomé, she told us she was busy. This is the last time I will ever set foot in this bar, which I strongly advise against.

30/05/2026: A nice bar with a lovely terrace overlooking the uniquely shaped Church of St. Joan of Arc, a rare find where you can get ice cream at 10 pm. The waitress was very pleasant, unlike the other young waiter who was completely overexcited and shouting the lyrics to the current hit song, which was very unpleasant. A shame! I certainly won't be going back if he's still working.

10/06/2026: Hello, Following our visit to Le Pinocchio restaurant in Lillebonne, we wanted to share our experience. Initially, we were curious to try this establishment, especially given the crowds we regularly saw outside. So, we decided to take the plunge and have lunch there. The welcome was warm and the setting pleasant. However, we were disappointed in several ways. When the restaurant is full, the acoustics are very poor: there's a lot of echo, and the conversations of the other diners become particularly loud, to the point that it was difficult to hear each other at our table. As for the food, we weren't convinced by the value for money. I ordered a warm goat cheese salad consisting of a few pieces of tomato, undressed green salad, and three small cheese toasts, the cheese on which was stingy and the toasts cold and hard. We also ordered mojitos that seemed to be made with mojito syrup, which was disappointing. Finally, the mozzarella Bolognese escalope lacked flavor and didn't particularly impress us, especially considering the price. Looking at the final bill, we felt that the quality and quantity of the food served did not justify the prices. It is therefore with regret that we left this experience disappointed.

23/05/2026: Very good restaurant, it's a shame there was no dressing on our salads. Lots of ice cream flavors to choose from, I recommend it.

13/05/2026: Excellent service and perfect cuisine. A warm atmosphere; I highly recommend this restaurant if you're passing through Caudebec-lès-Elbeuf.

10/05/2026: We were very used to José's cooking and good humor when we lived in Caudebec. We moved to the south of France 10 years ago, and every time we were in town, we'd come back for ribs and chicken with fries and gravy. We returned to Normandy a few weeks ago and learned that José had sold the place. We still bought ribs and everything, as usual… But nothing tasted the same anymore. Not even the gravy or the fries. We were so disappointed. And missing that atmosphere felt strange as soon as we arrived at the restaurant. I'm not saying all this as criticism, but rather as an observation. In any case, I hope this new team stays and manages to improve. All the best to everyone, José, we miss you!

20/01/2026: Unjustified price of €120 for a 4-star hotel. The room was large and clean, but ugly. Outdated furniture. Bathroom in need of repair... All-you-can-eat breakfast for €20. Given the limited selection, we opted for the express breakfast at €9.50, served by the staff: we received a miserable sliver of baguette, not even fresh (the only choice offered was one pastry or one piece of baguette), a ridiculously tiny Lilliputian coffee, one yogurt, jam, butter, and honey, all served in equally microscopic quantities. The gluten-free bread offered was industrially produced and vacuum-packed, so I took the very dense baguette instead... Since we didn't order the buffet, we were told to take a seat and had to wait 15 minutes to be served. We are used to traveling, whether in 2-star or 4-star hotels. This Novotel is far inferior to all the B&Bs we've stayed at, which are much cheaper and have very decent breakfasts. When we returned the keys, they didn't even ask if we were satisfied with the service. They simply don't care, because it's a forced sale, given their prime location near the Zénith concert hall. In short, don't waste your money, and avoid it, especially the breakfast, because even at €9.50, it's a rip-off. You'll get better for the same price at a B&B or other hotels right next door, which are just as well located. There's absolutely no added value compared to a 4-star hotel. Luckily, we avoided the exorbitant restaurant prices the day before; otherwise, it would have been a terrible stay.

21/12/2025: Excellent location and lovely surroundings. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the food is delicious. Breakfast is superb, always served with a smile and excellent service by Catherine and Marie-Laure. My husband and I always enjoy staying here for work when we come to Normandy.

29/06/2026: Excellent meal! The seafood platter, skate wing, cod fillet, apple and Calvados crumble… everything was absolutely delicious! The staff was very pleasant and the service was excellent! I highly recommend it!! Thank you for this wonderful experience!

28/05/2026: We had dinner at this restaurant. We were more than delighted. The menu offers excellent value for money. The ingredients are fresh and high-quality, and the food is truly delicious. The half lobster was simply succulent. And the tarte tatin flambée with Calvados was divine. The staff is very pleasant.

26/05/2026: We went to celebrate an event and chose this gourmet restaurant that offered vegetarian dishes. It's quite rare to find such a service, and we were eager to see what they would offer. Upon arrival, we were a little disappointed that the menu only offered one dish: "seasonal vegetables." No starters, except for one main course where they offered to remove the fish. We had ordered the vegetable dish; it should be good, right? No, it was just awful! It was the same dish my partner ordered, the sea bass, but they had taken the trouble to remove the fish. There were pieces of carrot, a piece of broccoli, beetroot purée, and apples. Everything was steamed, some of it overcooked. Certainly vegetarian, but not very sophisticated, neither good nor a proper dish. And expensive. Generally, a visit to a restaurant is an opportunity to treat yourself, to eat things you wouldn't prepare at home, to be impressed by the skills of the kitchen staff. I was struck by the audacity of presenting themselves as a vegetarian-friendly restaurant without making the slightest effort to substantiate this claim. I can't comment on the other dishes, but judging by the care they took in preparing the vegetables, I'll let you form your own opinion. I advise the restaurant staff to either remove the claim of being vegetarian-friendly from their website or to genuinely offer vegetarian-friendly service!

19/03/2026: The owner was unfriendly and condescending because I was there to pick up a package (but I wanted to buy something anyway). She took my money before telling me she'd refused my package. Two days later, she did the same thing again, refusing my package due to a supposed lack of space. At some point, they need to stop being a collection point...

21/06/2026: We made a quick stop at the restaurant where we sat down by the river. A real treat, especially the chef's specialty: suckling pig and fries. It was hearty and delicious! A beautiful place, a warm welcome, and a great atmosphere. We'll be back soon!

The waitress was unfriendly, and the food was mediocre: overcooked mussels served in a pot with a smell of molten metal, and fries with a strong greasy taste. €60 for three people, without drinks, coffee, or dessert. Avoid at all costs; very disappointing.

18/02/2026: Discovered for Valentine's Day, disappointed by the complimentary appetizers, but the food was quite good ☺️ Moreover, we were greeted with a smile, even though we were all served at the same time...

19/05/2026: Excellent meal! The setting could be a bit nicer, but the food is truly delicious! And what's more, it's not very expensive! I'm waiting for warmer weather to enjoy the terrace.
