05/06/2026: I don't usually leave reviews, but after eating two Crousty Pizzas, I became very ill, suffering from diarrhea and a fever.

09/08/2026: Aside from the post-renovation decor, the restaurant leaves much to be desired. The Saturday night menu included decent salmon rillettes, sausage and mashed potatoes swimming in oil. Dessert... we didn't see a waiter. Six tables were occupied (16 covers), with three waiters, next to the bar. "We didn't notice," they said when I pointed it out while paying, "but I'll still charge you for the set menu" (which didn't include dessert). It's cheaper than ordering a starter and main course. I've never experienced that before! All this for €30 per person (including one drink per person, at least). I hope you improve quickly, but I won't be going.

16/07/2026: The service is incredibly slow. I ordered at 7:20 PM and still nothing. Everyone else is getting their orders except us.

08/08/2026: What a shame to waste such a great place with such an incompetent waitress. The service was ten times too slow, and customers were leaving because there was no one to attend to them.

22/05/2026: Avoid dealing with the owner: it seems best to reserve a table for four rather than two, otherwise your reservation will be refused. We are loyal customers, but apparently not profitable enough… We ask for a carafe of water most of the time, which sometimes earns us a few comments. Furthermore, if you are an apprentice looking for an internship or work-study program in the service industry, I advise against this establishment. Seeing someone treated unpleasantly in front of customers suggests an even less pleasant atmosphere behind the scenes. It's a shame, because the owner is quite friendly and the food is good.

07/02/2026: The first floor is cramped and noisy. This Friday, February 6th, at lunchtime, there were 28 covers despite the posted capacity of 19 (a safety measure?). Cleanliness needs improvement; the cutlery was dirty. The food quality could be better. Aside from the location... a place to avoid.

28/12/2025: Excellent brasserie! Lunch for four as a family. Aperitif with a spritz, a glass of white wine, and two sodas. Two set menus (starter, main course, dessert), with a poached egg with Camembert as a starter. For the main course, chicken casserole with Maroilles cheese and homemade fries, and tarte tatin for dessert. For the children, a burger and a flank steak with homemade fries. All the dishes were delicious. Sanitation is well-maintained, and the food is both tasty and plentiful for a very reasonable price (€99.70). All this with a magnificent view of the Rouen courthouse (absolutely beautiful). Friendly and efficient service. Well done and thank you!

13/05/2026: Ordered a large taco on Uber Eats, not too long a wait and really well filled! The only slight downside is the oil from the fries that gets at the bottom of the taco, which isn't great, but otherwise the kebab meat was very good and the filling was good value for money.

28/03/2026: I ordered two Crispy rice dishes on Uber Eats, and when they arrived, there were only two small pieces of chicken that had been pulled out of the dish. It's shameful that there was no chicken in a dish supposed to be chicken and rice! Aside from that, the dish was good, but not exceptional.

05/08/2026: The restaurant is well located, which I think is its saving grace. The staff is not at all friendly. The food is very average. We waited 45 minutes between the appetizer and the main course. Avoid this place.

26/07/2026: Ideally located in the heart of Neufchâtel-en-Bray, the restaurant "Le Chapeau Rouge" is truly worth a visit. We had booked our tables in advance, which was fortunate, as the restaurant was packed when we arrived. A sure sign of its excellent reputation. And this restaurant certainly deserves that reputation, as we enjoyed a simple yet delicious lunch. We both opted for the €19.50 set menu, which proved to be quite generous. The welcome was perfect, as was the prompt service, all provided by friendly, kind, and professional staff. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

14/07/2026: We waited 15 minutes for our order to be taken, and another 15 minutes to get two drinks...the bar was definitely not full...

13/07/2026: A very disappointing experience. Sloppy service, fries that tasted of rancid oil, no water or napkins, mussels with Camembert: a few pieces of Camembert thrown on top of the pot, salmon salad: lots of salad, very little salmon. Avoid

06/08/2026: The waitress is trying her best; she's friendly and pleasant. There are a few things they could improve significantly: more fries should be served with the main courses. In the children's menu, my sons enjoy counting them, and the same goes for the food. It's a real turn-off, especially since they're not homemade, so the quality is lacking, at least in quantity. Finally, the mussels should be in a cream sauce; you should see and smell the cream, not just a spoonful on top of the pot... that's unacceptable. These small improvements would allow you to turn things around.

02/08/2026: On Friday, while strolling through Fécamp, I had a sudden urge to share a delicious meal with my partner. Determined to find a hidden gem, our eyes fell upon this small shop, its facade a rather unappealing blue and a more than questionable yellow, which immediately piqued our curiosity. A basic menu, almost disconcertingly simple. Suddenly, a spark: could this finally be what we were looking for? I glanced inside: not a single customer. On the terrace, a small family was sipping sodas. I wondered then if the waitress's rather uninviting appearance, which nature seemed to have sculpted with more character than harmony… didn't, in itself, explain the caution of passersby about entering this establishment. Behind this somewhat dubious facade, perhaps, lay an exceptional chef, a discreet craftsman pouring his heart and soul into each of his creations. Perhaps we had finally found that gem we'd been searching for for the past hour. After all, life sometimes hides wonderful surprises behind the least appealing appearances… That was clearly not the case today. Oh life, why did you lead us to such a sadly mediocre place? Tough meat, lying on a bed of frozen fries, accompanied by a salad of almost admirable blandness, so devoid of any flavor whatsoever. We were looking for a rare find. We found an empty shell… I strongly advise against it.

16/07/2026: A lovely pizzeria with a very friendly welcome. We were delighted by the wide selection of pizzas. Excellent value for money.

03/07/2026: Warning: price change for a 3 cm larger diameter pizza! It's €5 more, making the pizza over €20. I ordered two pizzas for €47 – outrageous! And on top of that, the Normande pizza didn't have flambéed Calvados. The apples used to be slices, now they're just little cubes. It's a disgrace! I won't be back anytime soon.

05/07/2026: Very pleasantly surprised. Lovely outdoor setting by the water, simple but tasty and satisfying dishes. For the price, no complaints.

17/05/2026: A very good meal with lots of flavor. One small drawback was that the waitress came to check on us every 5 minutes to see if we had finished. It was unpleasant.

21/04/2026: We've been going there for a while now thanks to friends, and we highly recommend it! In fact, we're going back tomorrow, which will give us a chance to adjust our rating if needed. I recommend the place and the atmosphere!
