The view towards the Mediterranean, including Île du Levant, is quite pleasant. Here you can enjoy delicious local drinks that won't put too much strain on your wallet on the benches. Go there, it's nice. Best place in Bassin.

03/08/2026: We came as a family with our two children and had a wonderful time. The restaurant is magnificent, with a superb rooftop setting overlooking the harbor and the sea. The waitresses are very pleasant, the service is impeccable, and the food is excellent. Everything was truly perfect! I highly recommend this place. Just remember to book in advance, as the restaurant is very popular… and you'll quickly understand why! 😊

09/07/2025: We came four years ago and it was really very good. We came back this year and this time we bought a doughnut that wasn't fresh at all, completely dry. The Tropézienne tart, however, was very good. They shouldn't charge the same price for the fresher pastries. When we buy something, we expect to buy a fresh pastry.

08/07/2025: The Tarte Tropézienne was delicious, but unfortunately, it left a bitter taste after the hurtful reception I received from one of the saleswomen. I have a vocal cord disability, which is invisible, and this woman took it upon herself to rudely insist that she couldn't hear me, addressing her colleague and referring to me (right in front of me) in the third person. Her attitude didn't change after I told her about it. I sincerely hope that people with visible disabilities will be treated better by this woman!

21/07/2026: I had a highly disappointing experience with the service here. When we asked about ordering coffee, the staff were completely dismissive. While I was actively reading the menu board, a waiter picked it up, moved it away from me and made an unprofessional comment telling me to "try again”. The behavior from the waitstaff was bizarre, incredibly disrespectful and unwelcome.

06/07/2026: We came here while waiting for our train. What a pleasant surprise! The ingredients were fresh, and the main course and side dishes were delicious. As Asians, we also found the rice to be really very good, which is quite rare. The soup was also excellent. We were pleasantly surprised!

05/07/2026: I had booked a hotel near Austerlitz station and was looking forward to dining at L'Éclipse bistrot, which has high ratings from Japanese guests. However, despite the scorching heat and a temperature of 29°C at 9 PM, there was no air conditioning. I didn't want to endure the heat while eating dinner, so I went to this nearby restaurant with air conditioning and high ratings. I didn't encounter any Japanese staff, but considering the price, it wasn't bad for Japanese food in Europe. I enjoyed the yakisoba.

19/07/2026: Everything was very good, and the prices were really affordable. It's still rare to find a kebab shop with such low prices in 2026. I recommend getting takeout and eating near the port of Toulon, especially at night or in the evening.

09/08/2026: This bakery is truly unique! First, the opening hours are unusual (8:30 am - 1:00 pm, and sometimes in the evening, but it's a bit hit-or-miss). Then there's the selection: no bread or baguettes early in the morning, so come back at 11:00 am. One morning, there were only croissants, pain au chocolat, and freshly baked fougasse; the next day, even though they were earlier, there was a much wider selection. But in three visits, I couldn't get my hands on their baguettes: either too early or too late. ^^ There's a random element to it that makes the visit feel authentic. However, their bread, pastries, and viennoiseries are absolutely divine. I understand why people drive up to half an hour or even an hour to buy from them. Everything is generous, flavorful, and I dare say: excellent. Among the best I've ever tasted. They must use a phenomenal amount of butter, but the result is undeniable, and their customers know it. If you're in the area, a stop is a must. Congratulations: this bakery has a soul and a very beautiful interior.
