29/03/2026: Today, during a short stop in Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne, we stopped to eat at this small restaurant. We received a very warm welcome, the lasagne was excellent, and the mini dessert was a very nice idea.

27/05/2026: We had dinner here in the evening and were absolutely delighted. The hosts are a family, and the mother and her husband, in particular, were incredibly welcoming. The meat is prepared right over the open fireplace in the dining room, which creates a truly cozy and special atmosphere. You can immediately tell that the food and service here are done with a lot of love. If you're traveling in the area, a stop here is definitely recommended. Campers can also stay overnight in the parking lot for a small fee.

01/07/2026: The restaurant was pleasant, but we were very disappointed with the food and surprised by the quality of a restaurant run by a master chef! The "chicken in cream sauce" with a morel mushroom supplement was simply roast chicken with a sauce poured over it. There seems to be a problem with the naming convention. The desserts were limited and unremarkable, even though it was peak strawberry season and there wasn't a single strawberry dessert available. Considering the price, I wouldn't recommend it.

16/06/2026: Nice setting, smiling staff, generous portions, but the side dishes could use a modern update, and the cooking needs improvement. A restaurant for regulars, we'd say... Price range is quite high.

02/06/2026: Avoid at all costs! The salad wasn't even washed; it felt like chewing sand in your mouth. The meat and fish tasted like they'd been recycled from the garbage.

24/05/2026: It's the terrace in the heart of the city center, shaded by real trees, with a vintage feel and a very unique decor. The products are high quality. The welcome from Nelly is genuine. She is just like her restaurant: unique, inspiring, and radiant.

22/05/2026: Today, a bouillabaisse menu for this Marseillais (myself included), a test for this restaurant we've enjoyed for several years. This culinary experience was a return to my childhood, when my mother prepared this traditional dish with love and passion. All the flavors unfolded beautifully. Bravo Fanny, test passed! 9.9/10, you made me feel decades younger. We continue to cheer you on for the next Bouillabaisse World Championship. Yves from Marseille

Quality homemade products, generous portions per person, an incredible welcome and excellent service – it's rare these days to find such a good restaurant at a very affordable price, the menu at €35, so go for it without hesitation!

The welcome was wonderful, with an attentive, smiling, and passionate team who made us feel at ease from the moment we arrived. Throughout the meal, we were constantly surprised and delighted by the dishes we tasted. Each plate was as refined as it was delicious, with perfectly mastered flavor combinations and a presentation worthy of a work of art. A true attention to detail was evident in both the service and the cuisine. It was much more than just dinner: a true culinary and sensory experience. A huge congratulations to the entire team; we will return with great pleasure. A special mention to our server, who was exceptional throughout the meal. Always smiling, attentive, and incredibly friendly, he greatly contributed to making this experience even more enjoyable. We particularly appreciated his kindness, professionalism, and all his thoughtful touches throughout the evening. Thank you for the impeccable service and wonderful energy. 12/06/2026: This is an establishment that deserves to be better known. From the moment you enter, the decor and layout create a warm and intimate atmosphere. Once seated at your table in a quiet corner, you are greeted by a charming waiter who goes out of his way to ensure your comfort and describe the dishes you are about to enjoy. These dishes are truly original, both in terms of flavor and culinary expertise. The chef is delighted to come and meet you and share insights into his cuisine or the history of his restaurant. A truly wonderful experience that I'd love to repeat.

11/12/2025: This establishment is very well located on the banks of the Saône, with a lovely enclosed veranda overlooking the river. The welcome was very warm and the decor is attractive. The dishes are generous, homemade, and excellent value for money. I highly recommend it! Reservations are advisable.

22/04/2026: This is undoubtedly one of my best recent discoveries. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The cuisine is refined and bursting with flavor. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and high-quality. The welcome is warm and the staff is incredibly attentive. They are professional, friendly, and offer excellent advice, making the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is cozy, the decor is tasteful, and the hygiene is impeccable. You immediately feel at ease, whether it's for a romantic dinner or a meal with friends. I highly recommend it and I can't wait to go back and try the menu in the evening!

21/05/2026: I've been a regular customer for a while now, so I'm posting a detailed review here. This establishment is a good alternative for a quick meal, avoiding the need to go to a bakery. Its location in the Pipa area is quite unique, somewhere between a snack bar and a traditional restaurant. The menu is varied and interesting, and generally good, however, I have a few complaints: - Individual prices outside of set menus aren't always displayed (sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't...). - I like to have a dairy product/compote and a dessert, but I find it excessive to price the Les 2 Vaches yogurts, Charles & Alice compotes, and La Bressane faisselle cheese the same as the other desserts, i.e., €3! - Regarding the desserts, the flans and éclairs don't look very appealing. They're probably mass-produced and don't seem to be of very good quality. - I think there's a lack of starters, or perhaps small salads, such as lentil salad with a few tomatoes and grated carrots, which would be a nice complement to a daily special, a croque monsieur, etc. - Finally, a special mention for the slice of pie served on a plate with a green salad; at €3.50, it's a good, affordable starter! Looking forward to returning for lunch. Sincerely.
