21/08/2026: One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at. I came to stay in this superb establishment; the food and service were excellent, the charm of the village was there, and I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Blanc who took the time to come and see us and take a picture with us.

21/08/2026: The inn is a magnificent place, the food is exceptional, the staff very friendly, and Mr. Blanc came to greet us very warmly. Everything was perfect.

14/08/2026: My partner and I came for dinner on a Friday evening and had a very pleasant time at Le Coq Rouge. We immediately appreciated the warm and attentive welcome from the staff, as well as the decor, which was both cozy and intimate, creating a lovely atmosphere. We ordered a starter, a main course, and a dessert, and each dish was a true delight for the taste buds. Original flavor combinations, expertly prepared ingredients, and above all, pure pleasure with every bite! A wonderful discovery in Saint-Genis-Pouilly, which we highly recommend. Thank you to the entire team for this lovely experience; we will gladly return! ☺️

22/07/2026: While on holiday in Valserhône, I stumbled upon L'ORIENTAL. Trusting the reviews, I went the next day. I can confirm the complimentary aperitif and even the coffee at the end of the meal. I had the couscous, which was absolutely delicious! My only regret: I couldn't finish it all, it was such a generous portion! I'll definitely be back!

27/07/2026: A very bad experience. We came to this all-you-can-eat restaurant for dinner on Saturday evening. I had ordered a little too much food and couldn't finish my plate. We asked if it was possible to take the leftovers home. We were told yes, but that it would be charged. At no point did we see any information indicating that this was a charge or that food waste would be billed. The most shocking part was what happened next. My friend went to the dessert buffet, and a waitress approached us very aggressively. She pointed at the exit and told us that since our plates hadn't been finished, we weren't entitled to dessert and that we had to leave the restaurant immediately. There's a way to speak to customers and enforce rules. We were humiliated in front of the other customers and treated with a profound lack of respect. We were both wearing headscarves. I can't say for sure that it played a role, but the way we were treated left us feeling deeply uneasy. I will not be returning and I do not recommend this establishment.

14/06/2026: Wow!!! Polyphenol was on the program, but what a night of music and what an incredible atmosphere!!! An intense and passionate singer, extraordinary musicians, and perfect synergy. It was simply unforgettable! Not to mention the 5-star welcome and service! An unforgettable evening of sharing. Thank you to my friends Fred and Flo who brought us along on this wonderful adventure.

20/08/2026: We had excellent frog legs. The service was perfect, but unfortunately, when we were offered extra frog legs, the waitress didn't tell us there would be an extra charge. It's a shame to end on a bad note because we had otherwise had a good time.

02/08/2026: We received a warm welcome despite our late arrival (1:30 pm). We thoroughly enjoyed everything from the appetizer to the dessert.

24/07/2026: July 2, 2026: A quick stop around 2:15 pm. The kitchen was already closed, but my husband and I, being motorcyclists, were sweltering in the heat. You served us a cheese platter, butter, and fresh bread with two shandy. The welcome was absolutely delightful. The owner came to chat with us. Excellent memory, we'll be back, that's a promise. Big hugs and kisses from Alsace! PS: The waitress even came out onto the terrace to wave goodbye from afar as we were leaving on our motorcycles. Unforgettable memory. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤️

07/08/2026: Great experience, I must highlight the "strawberry nectar in syrup with lemon zest and cane sugar" - I thought it was delicious, the experience was good and it was good value for money (I've just come back from Switzerland, so my prices are skewed).

05/08/2026: A truly magnificent and superb evening. In addition to the excellent food, the service was perfect.

07/08/2026: The welcome was friendly, however, the service was very slow. We had to wait 55 minutes for our pasta dishes! Although the food was good, the wait was unbearable, both for the main courses and desserts. Furthermore, the staff didn't always clear the table after the aperitif. Finally, the tables weren't even spaced a meter apart, which didn't make for a pleasant experience.

07/08/2026: The service was horribly slow, the bread was served in a cheap bag, and I suggest you go to this restaurant if you want to overhear other people's conversations because you're packed in like sardines – less than a meter between each table. On the plus side (the gnocchi).

20/08/2026: I've been a regular at this establishment for over 25 years, including when it was the old restaurant, and it's a place I've always enjoyed visiting, especially with my family. So it's with all the more disappointment that I'm leaving this review today. During my visit, we ordered shrimp that clearly tasted like spoiled food. They were simply inedible. We immediately pointed this out when paying. We weren't charged for the shrimp, which I acknowledge. However, what really disappointed me was the reaction to our comment. I felt the situation was being downplayed, even though it's not simply a case of a "bad" dish. When a product like shrimp appears unfit for consumption, the health risks can be serious, and in my opinion, this deserves to be handled with much more care. After more than 25 years of loyalty, I find it a shame to leave with this feeling. What disappoints me most isn't just the problem with the food itself, but rather the lack of consideration shown towards an issue that could potentially have significant consequences. I sincerely hope that this feedback will be taken seriously and that particular attention will be paid to the freshness and preservation of the products.

14/08/2026: Honestly, nothing to complain about! That's what made me want to write this review. Generously offered welcome drinks, a sublime setting, delicious food, attentive service, and complimentary after-dinner drinks! What more could I possibly add? Go for it without hesitation!

28/05/2026: A great stopover at the inn before our stay in Annecy; don't miss the Bresse chicken! The welcome was pleasant and professional. We didn't try the pool, but we'll have to come back. A stop not to be missed.

25/05/2026: A very pleasant stay at this hostel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. A big thank you to the receptionist who was particularly friendly, smiling, and helpful throughout our stay. Excellent breakfast. I highly recommend it!
