26/02/2026: As a preamble: I've read the comments of some customers disappointed by their experience at this restaurant, who are perpetuating a flawed equation whose values ​​they believe are already well-known: namely, that in the South of France in general, and especially in Nice, particularly during the summer months, the food (there's no way around it) leaves much to be desired. Nice, my love! I feel compelled to elaborate. Niçoise cuisine is among the healthiest, most flavorful, generous, and refined in France. Furthermore, the recipes are inexpensive (unless you try to recreate them in Besançon, but that's another story). The local restaurants, those that shop at the market in the morning and offer only daily specials, often hold some very pleasant surprises. But in this case, that's not the situation. At the end of May, upon arriving in Nice, exhausted from the 10-hour journey, we decided to have a quick lunch at this little neighborhood restaurant. My husband had a good appetite, while I was hoping for a decent espresso and a comforting homemade dessert to revive me. We were seated and ordered the lunch special: a grilled steak and a beer for him, and a double espresso and a homemade fruit tart for me, which was served immediately. The rest was a mixed bag: I found their tart quite pleasant, and so, as the kind lady was placing my husband's order on the table, I complimented her on his dessert. She retorted sharply, "Normally, I don't seat people for that!" I felt trapped, like a fox who'd cunningly slipped into a guinea fowl's enclosure. In short, she didn't consider me a valuable asset, and in her personal definition of conviviality, I should have taken a few steps elsewhere while my husband ate. Regarding her lunch special with the grilled beef listed on the display: Whoever wrote the lunch menu for this restaurant is, a priori, a scoundrel who doesn't hesitate to exaggerate his achievements in his writing. A tiny slab of beef accompanied by 30 grams of clumped macaroni, a sauce of indefinable nature, and a sprig of mesclun that even a tortoise wouldn't touch. The Mercantour beer was very good. The price-to-enjoyment ratio of the meal was disastrous; I do not recommend this establishment. I will return after the change of ownership.

16/02/2026: Delighted to have found a nice little restaurant in this part of Nice. Friendly staff, good food. We will definitely be back. Remember to book. The only slight downside is the parking.

The owner gave us excellent recommendations for our meal, but most importantly... it was absolutely delicious. Simple but truly excellent. A perfect spot for anyone wanting a relaxing evening and a great meal.

18/02/2026: I've been a customer once a week for over two years, so I'm a loyal customer. I ordered a coffee and a glass of water. In the meantime, I went to the restroom, and when I got back to my table, I found it had been cleared. I commented on it. They brought me another one. When I got to the register, they charged me for two coffees, claiming I should have notified them of my absence. I didn't try to understand. All I know is that you've lost a customer and €96 in revenue per year (4 x 12 x 2). While this won't make you poor, in my eyes you're poor...

21/02/2026: The crepes were half burnt. I asked for takeout and they were served on a piece of paper. In short, a ruined dessert. What a shame, the rest of the meal was okay. Honestly, they really need to improve; it's truly shameful.

The whole team was fantastic: those setting up the food, the cashier, the meat cooks, the ice cream maker... truly exceptional politeness, kindness, and smiles to boot. 14/02/2026: The oven clearly broke down while our pizza was cooking, as it arrived half-raw. This wouldn't have been a problem if the delivery driver and the person I spoke to on the phone had been more pleasant.

29/03/2026: We sat down at picnic-style tables on the sidewalk, thinking they were open to everyone. There was no indication that they belonged to the restaurant, which was also closed. The owner then appeared… to ask us to leave—my 80-year-old disabled mother, a toddler, and other people who were already seated—even though there was no disturbance and his restaurant was clearly closed. Apparently, customer service and consideration for visitors are not on his agenda. A very negative experience that doesn't reflect well on the resort; we will never eat there again.

28/02/2026: Saturday lunchtime during the school holidays. We were seated with three children, one of whom was in a stroller. The manager made room for us and was very accommodating regarding our needs (stroller, high chair, etc.). The meal was good value for money.
