20/10/2025: Chez Norbert is always a safe bet; it's friendly, and the quality is good. It's hopelessly overcrowded during peak season, and outside of peak season, the outdoor seating isn't quite as pleasant. But it always deserves four points!

Fortunately, it's well located in the heart of the village.
But to rave about it...plus, everything is extra: €2.50 for pepper sauce, €1 for two dollops of whipped cream... Okay for eating, but not for savoring. The "cassoulet" special...a disaster! Very disappointed by the quality and quantity, especially for €25 a dish...we won't be back.

11/03/2026: We received a warm welcome from the owners and had a delightful evening. Authentic Réunion cuisine where the spices and flavors are expertly balanced: curry, kaffir lime, vanilla... As a bonus, a DJ/percussionist got us dancing to island music and songs. A truly wonderful evening!

07/07/2025: Since it changed ownership, I've been there 3 times and I've been refused entry for no apparent reason... Come down from your pedestal, your club is a cellar, with a clientele of ksos AND the bouncers are buffoons who think they're something they're not... It's unfortunate to have come to this!!!
05/07/2025: Having been there 2 years ago, I think it's better today, and it's strange to see the change, but honestly it's a very good establishment I recommend when you don't have much to do with your evening... 👍

15/12/2025: There were hardly any people there when we tried a cocktail during happy hour. €7 for a mojito—you wonder where the happy hour is, but honestly, I've never seen such a bad cocktail. Big ice cubes instead of crushed ice, no rum. That's an expensive virgin mojito. The place is nice, but the quality is poor. It's a shame to try and cut corners when there's hardly anyone there. In short, there are better options at the port, like Oasis, which serves admittedly more expensive cocktails, but the presentation is much better!
Edit: You can try to muddy the waters all you want. A mojito is never served with big ice cubes. Perhaps you should hire qualified staff or train them. I simply think it's more profitable for you to minimize the quantities. You have a 3.9/5 rating, which is really average. Surprisingly, for someone who seems to be the only one complaining, many of us find the cocktails tasteless and the service subpar. Unfortunately, this business isn't for everyone!
02/09/2025: The bar is a bit old, especially the furniture outside, and the wait to be served is very long and you have to pay inside the bar. However, the drinks are cheap. It's also shameful that it closes on September 1st, as there are plenty of holidaymakers in September.

09/03/2026: We visited this restaurant and really enjoyed it. The portions were very generous and the service was excellent! They were about to close and let us stay a while longer while we enjoyed our dessert at our leisure.

16/11/2025: Recommended by a tourist with good cell service 😂 Modest decor, no paper tablecloths. Clean restrooms. Quick service and a smiling owner. The €22 set menu was very generous and tasty. Warm, soft rolls. Oysters shucked perfectly with no shell fragments, cod salad, and shrimp plates with garlic and oil. The sea bream fillet was good with a sauce and very generous portion with noodles. I had a good, tender piece of flank steak with homemade fries. I recommend the apple crumble 🍎, which is excellent. I recommend it for €22.
19/10/2025: The waitress is an expert in the selection of local wines. She is very friendly and dynamic. The chef only cooks fresh products. It is a simple and very tasty cuisine. Each dish is excellent and fresh. The Fisherman's Pot is a Master Class. Hats off, especially in a seaside town where frozen and over-the-top foods are king. Not to be missed!

10/01/2026: While passing through Carcassonne, I tried this bakery, which had been recommended to me.
Unfortunately, despite the heavy workload due to the holiday season, the staff were unpleasant, bordering on disdainful.
I do not recommend this establishment.
31/12/2025: This isn't our first time there, and while the food is good (admittedly), the service clearly leaves much to be desired! The waitresses are not at all pleasant and answer in a irritated tone.

24/02/2026: Great place for a beer. Located in the square benefitting from the afternoon sun. Very friendly staff.
20/02/2026: A historic and iconic bar in Carcassonne, it now only has the name left. We came for a pre-dinner drink, and the worst part was the peanut dispenser selling 36 grams for €2! More expensive than caviar for such low-grade, mass-produced peanuts; it's petty and devalues the establishment.

19/10/2025: Visit in October 2025, on a Sunday lunchtime
Unlike our previous meal a year earlier, this experience was a complete disaster! We arrived around 1 p.m., it was a bit crowded but not overcrowded, and some tables were empty. We left at 3:30 p.m., having eaten only one dish.
The dishes were delivered in dribs and drabs, with over half an hour between the first person and the last (there were seven of us, not that big a table). Only one carafe of water was served throughout the meal; we had to ask several times for bread and napkins.
The dishes were okay, but almost cold; the kitchen must have sent them quickly; it was the waiters who weren't up to the task.
My seafood plate didn't have toothpicks for the whelks or finger bowls, but no big deal.
One person had a set menu with dessert included, and even though it took a while, we thought we'd get dessert too. We offered him an apple or a yogurt! Never seen anything like that... We didn't order coffee or dessert; we just went to pay for our meals.
At the cashier, the person apologized again for the last dish arriving very late, but there was no response, no discount, not even a free coffee...
First review from October 2024:
Good meal, friendly and cheerful staff, fast service.
The duck breast was cooked impeccably. The salads were generous and well presented.
The terrace overlooked the sea.
The tiramisu was a bit small; for €8, we expected better.
15/10/2025: Small, unpretentious beach bar and restaurant. Terrace facing the sea. Great for a short break after a walk.

06/03/2026: One evening, my partner and I had a few drinks at a bar. We were hungry when we left, so we stopped at Tamarin (without checking Google reviews, unfortunately). The oysters weren't fresh, the main courses were okay but nothing special (and probably frozen), and the desserts were homemade, but they would have been better frozen.
24/01/2026: Very disappointed. It was advertised as open on all websites, but we arrived and the door was closed.
They should do a better job of communicating their opening days.
