29/09/2024: Unpleasant, haughty waiter, blows when asked for something. If you don't like this work with customers, you should think about changing, it's still the basis, especially when the customers are friendly.
26/09/2024: We spend every day and have a pleasant time each time, I recommend this place where the kindness of Mr Graçia and also the staff, for relaxation or a cool moment it is the nicest place on the esplanade.

L'ancienne formule était bien mieux.
15/08/2024: Très déçu des prestations pour un "buffet"...cuisse de canard ou escargot...wahow! On est à gruissan c'est l'été. Le risotto insipide et carton pâte !
Fromage: fromage raclette !
Pour finir on nous propose pas gracieusement le vin : pas de carte proposée. Juste soit au verre ou une bouteille...alors qu'à l'entrée une cave de vin est en expo....
Bref honteux pour 70e

17/09/2024: Accustomed to Chinese buffets, I must say that this one did not disappoint us. The room is nice. The staff is not (as is often the case) grumpy or "friendly as a prison door". There's quite a bit of choice (we've seen better but we've seen worse too) and some originality that I haven't seen elsewhere. We found what we were looking for without any problem (I love large grilled prawns, there aren't any in all the buffets so I was delighted!) we didn't go to the wok/griddle but we tasted quite a few chicken curry dishes, Peking duck, black mushroom beef, caramel chicken..... A good choice of dessert too. In summary, a good Chinese buffet.

15/12/2024: We have eaten very well. The typical Carcassonian food, thecasoulete, was delicious and the owners were very friendly and helpful. They try to speak in Spanish. We recommend it!!!
15/12/2024: We ate very well and very good. They treated us in a very pleasant way and adapted to our requests. In the end they put us in with the coffee (4 people €12) because they said that the coffee included in the menu was without milk and we asked for it with milk. Nobody informed us at the time of requesting it. GOAL!!

20/10/2024: 8 night stay from August 10 to 18, 2024.
We arrived after 7 p.m., everything had been prepared by the receptionist in a secure box.
However, upon arrival we were very disappointed. The residence is dilapidated and in its original state. The common areas (especially the stairs) were dirty. When we arrived upstairs, an unpleasant smell was present as well as in the studio.
Concerning the studio, it was not at an acceptable level of cleanliness. Indeed, only the bathroom was clean (except for the shower curtain). The kitchenette was not clean, the dishes very dirty (cup with traces of coffee, pan - see photo), the refrigerator frosty, crumbs in the cupboard, cupboard above the kitchenette greasy (not cleaned for several weeks) and the inventory was not up to date. All the furniture is dusty and dirty (traces of cups on the bedside tables, sticky remote control). When we arrived at 9 p.m., we had to clean up; for example, we cleaned the headboard before putting on our sheets, the wipe did not come out white (unsurprisingly).
As soon as we arrived, we communicated by SMS with the person and attached photos. The next morning we then spoke. The conversation was quite tense, the receptionist then asked us if what we were looking for was a refund for the stay. This was absolutely not our intention. We simply wanted an apology, for her to acknowledge the facts and do what was necessary; At the end of the conversation, it was agreed to change the shower curtain and the pan (which was done) and to clean the dishes (which was not done). Regarding the lack of maintenance, the receptionist suggested that this was indeed a problem, but that it was obviously not her responsibility (obviously that of previous customers!!!).
Please note, however, that the end-of-stay cleaning fees were offered to us as well as the presence of the dog: we appreciated this commercial gesture.
However, this in no way takes away the unpleasant attitude of the receptionist, who speaks in a haughty tone and seems little understanding of the disappointment we may have when arriving on vacation in such conditions.
At the time of booking, we unfortunately did not anticipate the question of parking, there is no parking adjacent to the hotel. It is difficult to find a place outside the blue zone (beware of lawsuits if parking in unauthorized spaces or if the disk is not updated every 3 hours). Likewise, we had booked for the proximity to the beach (ideal location) but we had not inquired about the beach accessible to dogs which is located 2 km away.
In summary, a dilapidated establishment, a studio which could do the job for a short stay if the cleanliness was correct.
A bottle of water and at least a roll of toilet paper would be welcome on arrival.
29/09/2024: The location right on the beach is perfect. It's a 5-minute walk to the restaurants in the city center.
Unfortunately there is only some cleaning and not much renovation. The rooms are functionally equipped, but everything is somehow old and shabby.
You could invest 50 euros in each room so that you have the same glasses, cutlery and plates.
The ladies at reception are very nice and helpful.
Why you have to pay for bed linen from the 7th day is a mystery to me - if you only stay for 3 days it's free.

21/08/2024: I went for the cassoulet and really enjoyed. Not the best, yet pretty delicious. Fries on my son’s croque monsieur were a bit rubbery, but the sandwich itself and also the burger were wolfed and enjoyed. Essentially decent french cafe fare.
Service was ‘very French’ but pretty quick.
This is great for ambience and absorbing a bustling lunchtime buzz!
I’d come with my family again.
They don’t seem too rushed to let us pay though……(as I write this review!)
20/08/2024: Très belle découverte. Nous avons été très vite pros en charge malgré le monde au restaurant. Les portions sont généreuses et bon rapport qualité prix. Nous reviendrons.

28/08/2025: No opinion on the food since we couldn't be served!
We sat down on the terrace and then had to wait 20 minutes for the menus! I went inside to ask for the menus, thinking I could help, but I was very poorly received, and we never received them, even though she said she would bring them to us. It was 9:15 p.m., there were only three tables; I think she simply didn't want to work any longer, since there were seven of us + one baby.
Fortunately, we received a better welcome at the ice cream parlors next door.
