24/08/2026: Beware of the service. We encountered a nonchalant waitress who seemed annoyed to be working. Otherwise, our burgers and desserts were good. The salad was very small and there were hardly any fries with the burgers.

19/08/2026: Avoid at all costs! Incompetent and unpleasant staff who dare to be arrogant, contemptuous, and sarcastic. The city of Pau deserves better, but judging by the ratings, we're not the only ones. 3.9

19/08/2026: Although the schedule indicated closing time was 2:15 PM (you can check), we were turned away at 2:00 PM. Despite our surprise and good faith, the waiter curtly informed us that the kitchen was closed. A quick glance at the two sneering cooks, leaning on the serving hatch, confirmed his refusal to serve us. Not a word of apology, sympathy, or any attempt to make us feel welcome. The two cooks, with arrogant and mocking smiles, glared at us, pleased to see us leave slightly disappointed and annoyed. I'm already expecting the kindly comment from a manager, apologizing and expressing his regret over this unfortunate incident, inviting me to contact him directly via email, as he does for every disappointment. A superficial gesture of goodwill, utterly ineffective in addressing the problems reported by dissatisfied customers. This restaurant is not up to Pau's culinary standards and simply deserves to be shut down. I strongly advise against going there. PS: To the manager, there's no point in apologizing; the damage is done. To properly identify the staff involved, I visited on August 19, 2026, at 1:55 PM.

30/08/2026: Yaelle's service was impeccable. However, the prices have increased significantly and the portions have decreased… no more popcorn with the aperitif… but still just as good.

14/09/2026: After enjoying some delicious Bossam, I suffered from diarrhea all day long. I suspect there was a problem with the ingredients in the fresh kimchi. They really need to pay special attention to hygiene. I am still having diarrhea. I think I need to take some anti-diarrheal medication for food poisoning.

30/07/2026: An exceptional place, which I've been frequenting for almost 15 years, and which remains just as remarkable over the years. The Damascus BBQ offers authentic Syrian cuisine, generous and full of flavor. The meats cooked over charcoal are simply excellent: tender, perfectly prepared, and with that unique taste that makes all the difference. Beyond the quality of the food, it's also the warm welcome and the personal touch that make this establishment so special. The people who run it are truly wonderful, warm, passionate, and always attentive to their customers. After all these years, the pleasure is still the same. A real gem that I wholeheartedly recommend to all lovers of good food and memorable encounters.
