01/11/2024: Seul resto ouvert ! Plats à emporter possibles : burger/frites et dessert. Super bon, produits locaux, accueil au top, chaleureux. Merci encore !

20/10/2024: Ouvert en Hors saison, quand tout est fermé autour. La planche duo en guise d'apero à ravi les papilles des fans de fromage. Pour la suite nous avons été plus classique avec nos entrecôtes. Cuisson respectée, sauce béarnaise, c'est du local. Merci pour cet accueil chaleureux, les conseils sur les artisans du coin. La mascotte à 4 pattes nous a bien amusé.. Leur intérieur est plus grand que ce que vous apercevez par la fenêtre...la déco participe à l'ambiance chalet montagnard. Mon dessert a la châtaigne était léger et parfait. Merci. Adresse à garder.

07/06/2025: Upon entering, the restaurant doesn't look like much. The menu doesn't offer a huge selection. However, the quality of the meat is excellent; it melts in your mouth. Even though the pieces are thin enough to grill, the quantity is still substantial, I think, for an adult who isn't a big eater (my young adult ordered a grilled platter + bibimbap).

04/06/2025: I didn't know this concept and frankly it was extraordinary, warm welcome, magnificent cuisine and great atmosphere (a colleague's birthday with the waitress singing happy birthday with an operatic voice)

23/06/2025: We held our wedding at the Jardin de l'Aber and highly recommend this charming venue! A warm setting in a beautiful stone building, a lovely, cozy garden with unobstructed views. As for the food, it was mostly homemade, which was very enjoyable. Everything went very well. I highly recommend it. 06/02/2026: The first time I reviewed Léon was 14 years ago, back when the Ardennes mussels cost €14.90, were enormous (Dutch style?), plump, and the portions were generous, except for the fries... We came on average once every two months... the food was excellent. And then, the years went by, the prices increased (like everywhere else), but the portions decreased. Fortunately, the recipes that made the chain successful are still there, and the restaurant has been revitalized (new decor, branding, etc.). Some really good new dishes have been added to the menu, with some pleasant surprises to the chain's credit. But in the end, I'm giving it 3 stars, no more, because for €35 per person, including a small fried fish platter, an Ardennes-style casserole, an ice cream sundae, and sparkling water for two, I'm sorry, but for less money and much better quality with a bit more quantity, I can find a better deal at a traditional restaurant that's been around for 20 years not far from here (starter, main course, dessert, and drink). It's worth noting that the service at this Léon Wasquehal is very good, no complaints there. The restaurant is clean and bright. The atmosphere isn't anything special in winter, but in the early evenings of summer, they sometimes have drinks with live music, which is nice because you can extend your drinks into dinner. I take my hat off to the Exotica passion coupe (very well thought out with coconut ice cream coated in passion fruit compote at the bottom, then pineapple sorbet, then mascarpone with whipped cream and grated coconut + palm), a killer in the mouth, effective sweet and tangy.

01/02/2026: We do not recommend this restaurant. The service was impeccable, the waiter welcoming and attentive. The food and cocktails were generally enjoyable. My one-star rating stems from the outrageous value for money. The cocktail was filled with crushed fat, completely filling the glass, so there was very little "liquid" per glass. The aperitif was absolutely meager. The mussels were insufficient for an adult; I left my main course feeling as hungry as when I arrived, even though I ate the bread. €19 for mussels is outrageous. My partner ordered salmon fish and chips. The portion was ridiculously small (two tiny salmon fillets), a handful of fries, all for 20 euros... The "XL" waffle with hazelnut chocolate was the same size as the other waffles... Overall, our entire table (more than 10 people) was disappointed with the meal, as the price was so high compared to the portions served. I will never return to this restaurant and absolutely do not recommend it. It's a shame because the food and service are decent.

03/01/2026: This Friday we were passing through Castres. There weren't many restaurant options, so we stumbled upon this one by chance, and we highly recommend it. The meat was excellent, the vegetables delicious, and the wine pairing was spot on. The young and very professional team made sure everything ran smoothly. Honestly, well done! Happy New Year 2026

20/12/2025: Vegetarians beware! They only serve high-quality, even exceptional, meat. The side vegetables are very good, and the charcuterie is excellent. It's a shame they wouldn't change my ice cream flavor for dessert!

06/09/2024: L’accueil est chaleureux dans ce restaurant à la jolie terrasse verdoyante où siège un magnifique four à grillades très design . La carte est variée et plutôt élégante, nous avons très bien mangé .

04/09/2024: Ho cenato con la mia famiglia il primo giorno di vacanza in questa splendida località ed ho avuto il dispiacere di cenare con la mia famiglia (formata da 4 persone) in questo locale... Abbiamo mangiato un tagliere di salumi e 3 pizze, nulla di ché visto che risultavano crude e una l'abbiamo fatta mettere nel cartone per cuocerla meglio il giorno successivo. La cameriera non parlava assolutamente italiano e ci sta ma quello che più mi ha fatto arrabbiare a parte il conto salato è la mancanza di buone maniere della barista la quale dopo aver visto che eravamo italiani mi ha portato una birra con molti fondi dizucchero (1 o 2 bustine di zucchero) imbevibile e disgustosa...un complimento comunque lo voglio fare alla proprietaria che invece di affrontare il problema (e cioè prendere provvedimenti con la barista) scarica il tutto sul solito turista....

24/12/2025: It's welcoming and good but noisy...if you come for a romantic dinner and a group is there...the romantic atmosphere is gone.
