The pleasant surprise doesn't end there, however, and continues with the generous portions and remarkable flavors. A truly excellent experience and undoubtedly a must-visit if you're in Montmartre.

16/03/2026: The atmosphere was nice, but the staff was not too happy to be working that night it seemed. We asked for a song and they said they would play but it never got played and then they were closing so we had to get out. We still had a great time!

16/03/2026: My boyfriend and I came on Saturday and it was very nice. The music was pleasant and not too loud, which was appreciated. We hadn't made a reservation for the restaurant but were still able to get a table after quite a wait (which is something we did on this occasion). The meal was disappointing because the meat was much overcooked, but the waiter's reaction was exceptional and very much appreciated! This kind of customer service, which is rare these days, was offered naturally, and I wanted to mention it. That's why I plan to come back and try your meat dishes, which look incredible, to form a better opinion. So, I'm giving it 4 stars to reflect the atmosphere and the quality of the staff, despite a few issues that day (which I think were due to it being very busy).

24/03/2026: An evening at the Chalet is always eagerly anticipated and appreciated: everything is simply delicious. Unpretentious, yet flavorful. The ingredients are fresh and homemade, and the service is very friendly without being intrusive. As for the setting: the interior, with its fireplace, is just as delightful as the exterior, with its view of the castle near the lake.

25/03/2026: Whether you ordered à la carte or the €16.50 set menu, everything was perfect. The asparagus tart was succulent, the butcher's cut was tender and generous, cooked exactly as requested...everything was top-notch. It's a shame the Tropézienne tart was sold out (even though we arrived very early!). The small steak tartare, however, is very generous, whether served prepared or not, a sure sign of freshness. Drink prices were more than reasonable and the service was excellent. It's a pity they serve the anise-flavored aperitifs pre-mixed...far too much water, right to the top of the glass. Not great for those who like it strong! Be sure to book ahead as this place is very popular...even if it is a bit out of the way!

01/03/2026: I've been eating at this restaurant for about fifteen years, the food is always excellent, their wood-fired meats are superb, their gratin is legendary, and the owner, Jean-Marie, is super friendly! I highly recommend it! 👍👍👍👍

03/03/2026: First time we had lunch at this restaurant as a family! And what a pleasant surprise! Everything was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed it from appetizer to dessert! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming! Despite the warnings at the restaurant entrance about recent car break-ins, they allowed us to leave our belongings and suitcases behind the counter so we wouldn't have to worry during our meal. We'll be back! And I recommend making a reservation!

18/02/2026: A must-visit spot with excellent products. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this isn't the place, but the lively atmosphere of this often-packed restaurant is worth experiencing. A truly convivial atmosphere and undeniably good French cuisine. Beware if you don't book! 😏

17/04/2026: Every time we come to Paris and pass through this neighborhood, we stop by for a drink or a meal. We always receive a warm welcome. The owner is very friendly and always smiling. The prices are really reasonable for this kind of area.

13/04/2026: The last truly traditional restaurant on the street. Absolutely nothing to complain about. A three-course meal for under €20 and we ate very well.
