24/03/2026: Hello I'm writing a review, which isn't my usual practice, to share my experience. The food was very good and plentiful, BUT the service needs improvement. I called on Wednesday for a 7:30 pm reservation. Once I said 7:30 pm, I was told I had to leave at 9:10 pm for the second seating. I asked if I could call back within 5-10 minutes to confirm the time, as we were a group of 8. They said yes. I called back to say 9:15 pm, and they said okay. On Saturday, we arrived at 9:15 pm. The manager had the nerve to tell me the reservation was for 7:30 pm. I told him I had called back, and he said no. I never spoke to him directly; it was a woman. He even had the nerve to tell me, "Luckily, we're no longer in peak season, there's space available." Making remarks when they're the ones at fault due to a lack of communication between them is pointless. Being nonchalant when you're a restaurant owner is unacceptable. Furthermore, when it came time to pay the bill (since we were four couples, we split it four ways), they forced us to round up even though we didn't want to. It's a small detail, but when we're treated as if we were in the wrong when it's you who are, forcing us to round up for a tip is unacceptable. (I have a photo as proof, which I sent back since, according to them, I didn't.) Avoid this place; there are other restaurants in Isola 2000 with equally good food and a much better welcome.

17/05/2026: I don't need to give you a long speech because it's deplorable, just look at my picture...

02/04/2026: One-night tourist stay One renovated room… a mix-up between the reservation and the assigned room (I requested a double bed but was given two singles). The manager was very professional and found a solution. Excellent, quiet room… simply very, very good.

28/07/2026: The tobacco shop is closed, even though online it says it's open until 3:30 PM. It's exactly 2:15 PM, the place is closed, and there are no signs.

18/04/2026: A complete disaster: the owner is about as friendly as a prison guard, the place is filthy, and the customers stare at you like a wolf eyeing a piece of meat. And to top it all off, they barely stock any tobacco/cigarettes, etc... Avoid at all costs. There are plenty of other places where the owners actually want to work with a smile and in a clean environment.

17/05/2026: Very good and impeccable service; the staff were very kind and pleasant, especially considering we were using a Wonderbox voucher.

16/05/2026: This isn't an inn but a snack bar - pizza, in my opinion frozen and reheated - apart from the view…

16/08/2025: Fantastic food! Good Creme brûlée, good location, fast service and clean toilets.

22/07/2025: Big disappointment. For a Saturday evening, only 3 tables set up on the terrace, that should have been a warning sign for us.... I'll stop there, not wanting to be unpleasant, but this restaurant should be avoided! 3-star rating for the service, as it was provided by a very young girl (who must have been the owner's daughter). 09/05/2026: For my first time, I ordered a two-meat taco (ground beef and chicken with cheese sauce). I asked for onions, but they were nowhere to be seen this year. The taco was inedible, in my opinion. The fries inside—I couldn't say when they were made, but they were definitely reheated, maybe leftovers from lunch—and the taco had more fries than anything else. This is my first and last time eating there. For 9 euros, it might seem insignificant to you, but I wanted to treat myself, and it ended up in the bin. As for the service, I don't want to criticize the employees, but they're just following orders from a manager. That's my experience at Mersin Food.

21/10/2025: Homemade, high-quality cuisine. A small menu that blends Corsican and local specialties. A minimalist atmosphere, but with a beautiful fireplace where the meats are cooked.

10/05/2026: Discovered by chance during a romantic trip to Burgundy. The service and welcome were excellent, the beef bourguignon and pork chop were exceptional, and the blueberry and apple crumble tartlet was to die for.

09/05/2026: The wait between the starter and the main course was far too long—40 minutes! We should have left, which we did right after the main course. We had chosen the Chicken Gaston Gérard, which was very bland and tasteless, with a very runny sauce and the vegetables barely lukewarm. It's a shame, as the poached egg in red wine sauce had been good. We were very, very disappointed. €92 for two aperitifs, one glass of wine, two poached eggs in red wine sauce, and two chicken dishes. I chose this place for a special occasion, because of the character of the walls and the village setting. We should have left when the wait became so long, ruining the experience. All we had to do was listen to the rather loud music. It's a shame there's such a staff shortage and that recruitment is difficult, according to the pleasant owner. Everything is there to make it a lovely place.

19/07/2026: Avoid at all costs!!! An insult to Italian pizza!!!! Burnt crust, acidic sauce, minimal toppings, and a very (too) thin crust that crunches in your mouth. Cash only, no card payments accepted....🤔

06/06/2026: Very disappointed. Shameful value for money. I won't be back.
