12/07/2026: While in Marseille, I had the opportunity to visit Les Minots de République on numerous occasions and sample their pastries, sandwiches, and cakes. The quality-price ratio is excellent. Special mention goes to their croissants and pain au chocolat! If you're ever in the area, don't hesitate to stop by.

25/06/2026: The desserts and main courses are excellent, truly exquisite, no complaints whatsoever. The chef does a remarkable job. However, I'm deducting two stars because my bank card was charged twice. Despite my honesty, the cashier didn't believe my explanation and refused to issue a refund or offer any compensation. I also advise you to carefully check the prices displayed, as some dishes were charged €1 to €2 more at the register. Stay vigilant.

11/07/2026: Not a great experience. The tables are too close together; we can hear everything the neighboring tables are saying. Plus, when they're smoking while we're eating, we get all the smoke on us. The price is high considering the quality; it's not disgusting, but it's not good either.

09/07/2026: A lovely family lunch where I enjoyed the food and, above all, the service was incredibly friendly. My Caesar salad was delicious and generous. My children had a really good hamburger (which is becoming increasingly rare). The owner kindly brought my son some tomatoes because he loves them! I highly recommend it.

06/07/2026: We had been coming to this restaurant for years, several times each summer, and we always recommended it to everyone we knew. It's precisely because we were such loyal customers that what followed was all the more disappointing. The meal went very well until dessert. We ordered two chocolate fondant cakes: one was perfectly gooey, the other completely overcooked, dry, and dense. We simply and politely pointed this out to the waiter, without being aggressive, thinking it was an isolated incident. After a quick trip to the kitchen, he returned with this response: “Your daughter was lucky.” In other words, the botched dessert in front of me was considered normal. No self-reflection, no apology, no spontaneous offer of a replacement. It wasn't the cake itself that was the problem. Nor was it the €9 dessert, especially when you're paying a bill of €132 for three people. What's unacceptable is the blatant disregard shown to a customer who simply reports a clearly defective product. When I expressed my disappointment, the owner finally offered a refund… but only after the situation had escalated. A gesture of goodwill is only valuable when it's sincere and spontaneous, not when it's offered reluctantly. The final straw was the owner's intervention. She came out of the restaurant to tell me, "You're the ones who are pathetic, making a fuss over a chocolate cake when people are starving." A completely irrelevant, inappropriate, and deeply disrespectful argument. We were simply in a restaurant, as a family, paying for a service. As with any service, it's normal to expect a product that meets our standards and a minimum of consideration when a problem is reported. What's making us leave today isn't a chocolate cake. It's the arrogance, the complete lack of self-reflection, and the customer service that, in our opinion, are unworthy of an establishment claiming to be a restaurant. Losing loyal customers over a €9 dessert is already regrettable. Losing them through a lack of professionalism and humility is even more so. We won't be back. And that's a real shame, because we genuinely liked this place.

27/06/2026: A superb place with a very distinctive character. The value for money is one of the best in Marseille (€14 for a tasty and filling daily special). Note the speed of service (15-20 minute wait) and the attentive staff.

25/05/2026: The best churros and panisse. I come all the way from the Ardèche region, and I stop here whenever I can. This weekend, between the Corsu Mezu Mezu concert and ending up with the churros and panisse, it was the best.

21/07/2026: Always listen to Philippe Etchebest on Kitchen Nightmares when he looks at a menu! How many starters? How many main courses? How many desserts? How many people are in the kitchen? We came on July 13th for the fireworks. Around us, it took two hours to get a meal. When it came time to pay the bill, we were served a hysterical brunette, who was clearly the owner... There was a fight in the restaurant (we certainly know how to celebrate on July 13th). We have to maintain the image of Olympique de Marseille, after all. Judging by the responses given by the establishment in the recent reviews, we must have come to the wrong place. Much courage and congratulations to the servers at this establishment who demonstrate such patience. They must be very customer-oriented to process payments smoothly without getting yelled at.

The service was very pleasant, it was a great Saturday 😁, there was some nice music playing, the customers were friendly, and it was a lively place – perfect for starting the sunny season. We'll definitely go back to the restaurant. Special mention for the interior decor and the simple yet effective location on the port.
