06/06/2026: My wife and I were looking for a snack and stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant. It was hard to choose because we wanted to eat everything! In the end, we had fresh fruit juices, canelés, a cookie, and a strawberry Tropezienne tart! The servers were friendly and attentive!

08/06/2026: My car broke down in this charming little village one Sunday morning. I can't even begin to describe how the staff at this lovely establishment didn't hesitate for a second to help me and give me all the information I needed. A truly welcoming and helpful business, the kind you wish you could find in every French village.

07/06/2026: A return visit was a must to admire the renovated terrace and to confirm the excellence of the chocolate fondant! Not disappointed, as always. Until next time.

05/07/2026: It was such a pleasure to meet two genuinely kind shopkeepers who, even though it was early and the place wasn't very busy, took the time to chat with courtesy and humor. A welcome like that, especially today, is already very pleasant. But if, on top of that, the pizzas are truly delicious, we can only thank you and tip our hats! Thank you for everything (the homemade desserts are a delight)!

24/04/2026: We had dinner at the restaurant as a group of eight (adults and children). The welcome was friendly, and we enjoyed a very good meal. The prices were reasonable, and the food was high quality. The restaurant's dining room had a charming, authentic feel. We highly recommend this place.

11/06/2026: After trying many restaurants in Calvados since we moved here ten years ago, Le Pot d'Etain has become THE go-to spot! Fresh, expertly prepared ingredients, a very friendly and smiling owner... We've never been disappointed, unlike many other places on the Côte Fleurie. Their weekday lunch special (€18) far surpasses anything you could find elsewhere, on par with another establishment... In short, we shouldn't spread the word too much so we can continue to enjoy it! It would be a shame, being practically neighbors!

18/05/2026: Our stay was a gift from a group of friends for my birthday. I had some preconceived notions, having stayed in similar establishments on the coast, particularly in Deauville... I expected to experience the same feeling... The Grand Hotel is certainly older, and its layout is different from other 5-star hotels... But that gives it an incredible charm. One can't help but feel a deep respect for places steeped in history.

16/05/2026: The hotel is well located in the center of Cabourg and has a sea view. The rooms are spacious. Breakfast, served on a terrace overlooking the sea, is plentiful and delicious. The prices of the menus and drinks are a bit high.

14/05/2026: What a disappointment at lunch at the Auberge de la Touques! The quality and quantity of the food were lacking. The white asparagus was stringy and too firm, despite the €17 starter. The sea bass fillet was ridiculously small for the price, as was the side dish, and everything was served cold! The lamb chops arrived undercooked… As for the "gesture of goodwill," it amounted to a single complimentary coffee, even though there were three of us and the bill was over €200. Apart from the pleasant setting by the river, nothing was right. What a disappointment at lunch at the Auberge de la Touques!

10/05/2026: Lunch on a Sunday during a long weekend, pleasant service, well-prepared and thoughtful dishes, €33 set menu offering good value for money (starter + main + dessert). Note that the aperitif menu is relatively expensive. Worth trying! 😀

08/05/2026: Excellent location. The mussels were simply delicious and the staff very pleasant and smiling. A wonderful experience.

03/05/2026: We went for a weekend in Trouville... we discovered this restaurant by chance, and went back twice!! The mussels and fries with garlic cream, the ones with mushrooms, and the marinière are AMAZING. The salmon is delicious. The oysters are very high quality. The tarte tatin with its thick crème fraîche is delicious. They serve homemade fries just the way we like them, golden and generous, just like Cath, the owner, who is a ball of energy and welcomes you like family. All the staff were warm and welcoming. A great find that we can't wait to return to.

13/06/2026: The setting was lovely, the staff were very attentive and polite. The service was great. Both starters were delicious, and my husbands main course was delicious. All of the food was presented really pleasantly. However, my main course was supposed to be filet of beef. Neither myself nor my husband could work out what cut of beef it was, but it definitely wasn't fillet. Unfortunately, it had lots of gristle running through it, and looked as though it had been hacked partly in half. It was a mishapen mound of meat. I ordered it medium, and it came extremely rare, almost blue. The staff were quick to rectify it, but unfortunately, this meant my husband's meal was cold and the rest of mine was reheated and dry. My potatoes also had no seasoning whatsoever. The chimichurri sauce however, was amazing! Regardless of the problems, the meal was absolutely worth the money.

27/05/2026: Some rooms are best avoided; the air conditioning barely works, or doesn't work at all. I tried two rooms, and the problem was the same! Perhaps the sea-view rooms don't have this issue, but given the prices in high season, I don't think I'd risk trying them. It's a shame because it's very well located. It has great potential, but in my opinion, it doesn't live up to the 5-star standards of the region, which I won't mention. Please, this hotel deserves better. You don't give a room to a couple if the entire floor is full of children; it's just common sense! We leave our children to rest and sleep, not to be woken up at 3 a.m. by crying...🤦‍♂️

26/05/2026: We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Cures Marines, and we had an amazing time. The hotel is beautiful, rooms are comfortable and spacious, perfectly located, very quiet and calm and we were lucky to enjoy sunny and warm weather during our stay. The spa and fitness facilities were excellent, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious — with a great selection including chia seeds, brown bread, fresh fruits and veggies, and homemade fresh juices, which I particularly loved. A special thank you to Thea, the front desk team, and all the staff for their warm welcome and personalised service. A special mention as well to Micka, the sports manager, for his professionalism and friendliness. Keep on shining guys!!!!! Highly reccommended— we'll be back, best hotel in Trouville!

30/05/2026: While passing through Lion-sur-Mer, we found this little restaurant by the sea where the food is excellent, everything is homemade. The owner and the staff are exceptionally kind. I have absolutely no complaints and highly recommend this restaurant 🥰

24/06/2026: I was very disappointed with the dish I ordered (prawn wok): four tiny prawns with very little pasta and a few zucchini/mushrooms, and it was very oily. The portion was minuscule and I finished it in four bites. I left feeling hungry. A complete rip-off.

28/06/2026: A small crêperie in a small village; the galettes and crêpes were really delicious! A great place! Remember to bring cash. I recommend it!
