Les meilleurs restaurants en Calvados

15/09/2026: The service needs improvement; the servers keep getting the dishes, drinks, and desserts wrong. The food was on par with the atmosphere... They really need to invest in air conditioning.

06/09/2026: Takeaway orders are as delicious and generous as ever

18/09/2026: So nice, such a delicious meal. Thank you!

15/09/2026: Excellent value for money, well-prepared food, good service (the owner and her daughter). There are still restaurants in France with wine lists priced between €20 and €25, where a glass costs €3.50. Honestly, it's a must-try. I highly recommend it.

19/09/2026: We discovered this restaurant online; it doesn't look like much from the outside, but you have to venture inside and you won't be disappointed. The owner and the waiter were incredibly attentive. We weren't disappointed with our choice at all, from the warm welcome to the high-quality food! A wonderful discovery that we'll definitely be back for.

17/09/2026: Very happy to have gone to this restaurant for the first time, the welcome was fantastic, the food exceptional. I can't wait to go back.

11/09/2026: Always a real pleasure. I can really taste the Thai flavors. Impeccable quality.

29/08/2026: Go without hesitation. We were greeted by a sweet and kind lady. The meal was delicious, fresh, and you can spice it up with different chilies. A great place to get away from it all. Excellent value for money.

05/10/2026: A warm welcome, a very pleasant moment to share with family, with a variety of products

05/10/2026: This restaurant is, how can I put it… INCREDIBLE. I came with my partner, who was on crutches, and the staff took excellent care of us from start to finish. I highly recommend it; the food is high quality and everything is all-you-can-eat. The price reflects the quality.

07/09/2026: A unique experience in a perfect setting. Flawless, from the welcome to the cuisine and the service, everything was beautifully executed. An extraordinary meal and evening.

07/09/2026: It was simply fantastic, I have rarely sat so well in a one-star restaurant; in my opinion, one star in the Michelin Guide is not enough, this restaurant is definitely worth a longer detour.

16/09/2026: Excellent! It was delicious. And very kind, I highly recommend it 😊

13/09/2026: One of the best curry’s I have ever had. The staff are excellent, speak english and are very friendly. They allow you to choose the level of spice in your dish which is really unique and shows how fresh every meal is. Naan bread really flavoursome but I would recommend getting one per meal as they are a bit small. The restaurant was very quiet with only 2 more tables eating in the restaurant on a Thursday but that’s actually not an awful thing as the food was quick to come out of the kitchen. Overall an excellent curry and hope to return again.

25/09/2026: The waitress Pauline is super nice and smiling!

12/09/2026: A wonderful culinary discovery, and the shop next door is full of hidden gems.

22/09/2026: We had an absolutely wonderful time at the restaurant **La Pommeraie**, with my parents. 23/09/2026: My wife and I had dinner there one evening before heading back to the Paris region. I highly recommend this restaurant, which offers delicious food at a very good price. Thank you to the whole team for your warm welcome and expertise. You can really feel their desire to please and share a pleasant experience with you.

20/09/2026: We went to Trouville for 2 days and were recommended the restaurant La Régence, fantastic, we ate very well, and the owners were friendly, I recommend it, a must-do.

10/10/2026: Excellent in every way, charming and very professional waitress, delicious food. A sure bet in Vire. I recommend it.

07/10/2026: A truly lovely, authentic place with delicious regional cuisine. The only slight drawback was the cheese course; no explanation was given about the cheese, neither its name nor its origin.

29/09/2026: Great experience. One of the best meals we have had in France. Highly recommended

28/09/2026: What a wonderful dinner at La Alcove! From the moment we walked in, we loved the cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The service was wonderful, and they have a very nice wine list. Everything from the appetizer through dessert was impeccable. The carrot appetizer was absolutely delicious—and it was amazing how beautifully they presented it and, even more importantly, how incredible it tasted. The fish entrée was outstanding, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. And don’t miss dessert—it was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. La Alcove is definitely one of our favorites. We highly recommend it!

08/09/2026: A very nice little restaurant. Rather intimate, discreet owners, but that's what makes it so great!

06/09/2026: Discovered with my partner 3 years ago, it's literally our favorite restaurant in Caen. The team is lovely, always a warm welcome, complimentary drinks and desserts are delicious, and the value for money is unbeatable. If you're looking for sushi in Caen, this is the one to choose ❤️
