28/08/2026: We stayed four nights at this establishment and frankly, we had a fantastic time! The owners and managers are absolutely lovely: very friendly, always smiling, accommodating, and always available. We also had breakfast there, which was simple but very satisfying and plentiful, with the option to choose savory dishes, which was a real plus. It's also possible to eat there. We had pizzas, and they were delicious! The manager gave us excellent advice about the markets, places to visit, and the various activities to do on Île d'Oléron. This was really appreciated, especially for making the most of our stay! As for the apartment, it was spotless and very clean. Everything we needed was there; we lacked nothing. Honestly, we have absolutely no complaints; everything was perfect! A big thank you for your warm welcome and kindness. We highly recommend it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

21/08/2026: A must-visit if you come to La Rochelle, a very good restaurant, super friendly owner, we came there 8 years ago and nothing has changed, still as good! The restaurant has been open for 24 years... simple, efficient.

28/07/2026: Slightly Underwhelming. Service was slow at the beginning but picked up later on, Food was very good and consistent however wine parings failed to meet the dishes well despite the good story they followed. Generally a very nice meal however the older bistro style it had will be missed!

17/07/2026: My husband and I received a dinner show as a gift, which we enjoyed on July 4th at lunchtime. It was wonderful; I felt like I was on another planet of joy, beauty, and talent. The performers were very good and also very approachable. I had a fantastic time. Thank you so much to all these wonderful artists.

16/06/2026: A real gem! This bistro perfectly blends friendliness and quality. The dishes are generous, flavorful, and prepared with excellent ingredients. The atmosphere is warm and the service is friendly, quick, and attentive. You feel comfortable from beginning to end. During our week-long stay, we (two couples) returned three times because we were so satisfied. An excellent place to recommend without hesitation!

21/08/2026: Family lunch at a restaurant... It had been a long time since I'd eaten so well. Everything was perfect! The cocktails are original and showcase local products beautifully... And above all, they're delicious! The kind of drink you can easily switch from one to the next. For the starter, it was hard to choose because everything tempted me, but I settled on the smoked mackerel with tomato and chorizo ​​focaccia, and... mustard ice cream! All the flavors were perfectly balanced, despite the mackerel being quite strong. I loved it. Then I stayed with fish, ordering the stuffed hake with its equally robust, briny broth. The roasted peaches, green beans, and mushrooms balanced everything perfectly. The wine pairings were also excellent. We trusted Karine's recommendations, and I wholeheartedly agree. And finally, the centerpiece... Dessert! I had the fig variation, and wow, it was absolutely sublime. The smooth, lightly sweetened fig ice cream pairs perfectly with the fresh and roasted figs, as well as the sweeter little cakes, making for a truly indulgent dessert without ever being too much. A fabulous lunch. Highly recommended.

21/08/2026: What a lovely restaurant. Family of three with two vegetarians and here there were superb options for all of us. The atmosphere is cosy and service top-notch. We dined in the evening and reserved online the night before. We all loved it. Highly recommended.

21/08/2026: Found by chance and a very pleasant surprise! We hadn't booked and we were so lucky! The starters, main courses, and desserts were surprising and very tasty, all homemade, and the wines suggested for our dishes were perfectly paired. We had a wonderful time, received a very warm welcome, and the service was top-notch. Go there, but definitely book in advance! Thank you to the chef and his team for this delightful culinary experience.
