30/09/2024: Accueil chaleureux malgré l'heure tardive (13h30 le dernier dimanche de la saison..), un jeune patron dynamique et avenant, une équipe agréable. Les moules sont excellentes : à la crème de Pineau gouteuses bien que le parfum puisse être un peu plus fort, Chorizo Poivron Piment Espelette : un régal avec une très bonne balance de goûts, les meilleures depuis longtemps.. Un vin rouge oléronnais, léger mais parfumé, agréable en bouche et qui ne donne pas d'aigreurs.. Les desserts sont bons mais plus rustiques surtout au niveau de la présentation : la galette charentaise au Lemon curd : bel assemblage de goûts mais dommage que la galette soit broyée façon crumble. Une adresse à retenir : j'y retournerais très volontiers !!

15/09/2024: Superbe restaurant, la cuisine est excellente faite avec des produits frais par le couple de patron. La serveuse est très sympa, très aimable et à beaucoup d'humour. Nous étions 4, je vous recommande la pièce de bœuf, accompagné de ses frites faite maison, sa sauce à l'échalotte et sa salade, ainsi que que le camembert rôti, accompagné de frites aussi, salade et jambon de pays. Un vrai régale. Je vous recommande se resto. Je vous conseil de réserver à l'avance.

05/09/2024: Good food, very friendly and attentive waitress, but a small downside, my wife and I took 2 menus at €18 displayed plus a soft drink at €4, so total €40, but the bill came to 42€. I have the impression that the 5.5% VAT on the menus was added at the end, is this normal and regulatory?

14/09/2024: We ate well, very warm welcome, despite the hour being a little late, they agreed to take us. Very good quality ratio.

08/11/2024: Nice hotel where each room is different with a specific decoration. A friendly welcome and young people at breakfast who were very pleasant and attentive. Just cross to get to a restaurant. The rooms have a view of the banks of the Loire. Very pleasant stopover. THANKS

04/12/2024: We usually come here for lunch. Usually nothing to complain about the service, the team and the dishes. But this time... We love the bartender who burps loudly, the waitress who doesn't even give us time to finish our plate... Without forgetting the pizza toppings which are becoming increasingly rare... Really sad and disappointed

24/11/2024: Unacceptable, we were with friends sharing a meal, when suddenly the chef and a waitress clashed, creating a heavy atmosphere for everyone. We no longer even dared to speak to each other. Solving your problems in private and not in front of customers is a big lack of professionalism.

16/09/2024: Joli point de vue sur la mer et le Pont de l’Ile de Ré. Vraiment dommage que la serveuse et le patron de cet établissement soient dénués de tout professionnalisme . Dimanche 15/09/2024 on m’a servi un chocolat inconsistant . La tasse était à moitié pleine quant au soi-disant chocolat il avait l’apparence d’eau colorée . Pour le goût, je ne vous fais pas de dessin . J’ai fait remarquer à la serveuse que la quantité n’y était pas et pour toute réponse : «c’est la patron qui l’a préparé « . J’ai tout de suite ressenti l’agacement voire une pointe d’agressivité . Donc, je n’ai pas insisté et au moment de payer mon épouse s’est plainte au patron à propos du chocolat . Réponse du Maître des lieux d’un ton péremptoire : « cela m’étonne de ma serveuse « ..! En d’autres termes, payez et salut ………...

26/01/2025: Go elsewhere, there are many other bars in Saintes. The waiters are rude, don't want to serve you and let you know it. The cuisine, once again better elsewhere for less money and a warmer atmosphere. Go on your way.
