02/09/2024: Unpleasant welcome! Hot beer and little goodwill to change it for us... The ideal geographical location is not enough. This establishment is not held... Too bad!

01/09/2024: Table for 8 people. Unfriendly team who gets angry in front of customers. The plates were removed when we had barely finished. The wait between dishes is way too long. The mussels were not cooked. The waiter spills sauce on his knees without apologizing too much. Homemade desserts should be avoided. I do not recommend this restaurant at all

22/09/2024: Acceuil déplorable! Les tarifs sont excessifs au vu de la qualité des plats. Plat du jour imangeable : un mini filet de poisson (qui n'était pas du lieu noir comme écrit sur le tableau) plein d'écailles et le serveur qui ajoute lorsqu'on lui fait la remarque que c'est normal, certains poissons sont cuits sans être écaillés. Il faut arrêter de prendre les clients pour des jambons. Une table en bord de terrasse, à proximité du chemin blanc et qui reçoit toute la poussière au passage de véhicules.

09/07/2025: Aside from the "special" welcome, the mussels and soufflé potatoes were delicious. The baba and profiteroles were spectacular and generous. We'll be back.

20/09/2024: We had an extremely disappointing and infuriating experience at Via Roma in La Rochelle. After driving all day from the south, we stopped around 7:15 pm to have dinner. From the moment we arrived, the servers were rude. When I inquired about a specific dish, the waiter sarcastically responded, “Why would you have that?” He then switched our waitstaff, claiming he didn’t speak English. Meanwhile, he had no problem chatting and playing with a passerby’s dog. Our new server, a young lady, was polite and took our orders: one Caprese salad, spaghetti Napolitana, one wine, and one beer. The spaghetti was terrible, but since we had to drive to Carnac, we ate a little to settle our stomachs. Earlier, we had a starter at a nearby seafood place that only served small plates, which is why we came here hoping for a full meal. We were seated at table 6 outside, and our bill came to 42 Euros. However, we were told to pay inside at the register, and they refused to accept our credit card. They swiped my card, and we left. Shockingly, when I returned home and reviewed my bank statement, I discovered they had charged my card $333. The restaurant claimed to my bank that this was the correct amount, which is utterly absurd. We spent just 25 minutes there, dissatisfied with the food and service. We left in a hurry and didn’t get a receipt, only realizing the scam after checking our statements. Despite providing photos of our time there, the bank refused to help us recover our money, saying the charge was justified as we handed our card to be swiped. This establishment has essentially robbed us of our hard-earned money for a terrible dining experience. Tourists, please beware: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! Do not use your debit or credit cards here—pay cash if you must go. No one answers the phone or responds on their Google page. This restaurant is a complete scam. Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from Via Roma!

06/09/2024: Whether for breakfast, a savory break or simply a coffee, the taste experience at Z'adore has always been fantastic. The pastries are simply excellent, and everything is homemade. Zaza has an eye for detail and knows how to add deliciousness to your plates. We go there on each of our stays on the Ile de Ré. It's a must.

27/08/2024: Impeccable, fast service, pleasant and smiling waiter. A shaded and super well-placed terrace, unparalleled at the Château d'Oléron. Exceptional ice creams. We recommend without reservation.
