21/03/2026: We came to the bar for the second time with friends, and the bouncer didn't even try to understand; he refused us entry outright and was very unpleasant for no reason.

04/04/2026: This McDonald's restaurant is exactly what you'd expect from a well-run establishment. Everything was clean and tidy, the service was excellent, and the food was hot. Even the restroom was clean.

17/03/2026: By completing your satisfaction survey, I received a 6-digit code to win a free sundae with my next order. When I went to the checkout, the cashier refused to give me the free sundae. He demanded an email I had received a long time ago when filling out the surveys. I couldn't find the email, so he refused to give me the small sundae. 28/02/2026: We came for lunch today (2 adults and 1 child) and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent, even for our 6-year-old! The buffet was varied, fresh, and delicious! The set menu included an all-you-can-eat starter, main course, and dessert for €14.90, with the daily special being superb! The service was welcoming and very friendly. I definitely plan to come back! Thank you 😊

01/06/2025: The sandwiches and pastries were good and reflected the brand's image. The difference was the welcome and service, which were perfect. A friendly smile, a kind word upon arrival and departure at the checkout, which is quite rare at a motorway service station. Thank you, ladies.

03/03/2026: We had a wonderful weekend! One night at the hotel and two days at the spa. We found the value for money to be excellent! Access to the gym and thalassotherapy center from 9:00 am to 6:45 pm on both our arrival and departure days was a real bonus! We also booked the breakfast option (a buffet) for the morning. The choices were varied and delicious! We especially loved the brioche! In the evening, we also dined at the hotel restaurant and we weren't disappointed! The dishes were flavorful and well-balanced. We also wanted to highlight the exceptional kindness shown by all the staff we encountered during the weekend. Their courtesy and patience were much appreciated. We left the hotel feeling on cloud nine, happy and relaxed! Thank you so much!

01/03/2026: Review concerning ONLY the restaurant - Valentine's Day 2026: Huge disappointment at La Table de Grignon. I made a reservation by phone, specifically asking if I could have the Valentine's Day menu at 12:30 pm on February 14th. I was told yes, no problem. I traveled 50 km, in terrible weather and with a high fever, only to be told that this menu was only served in the evening, even though this wasn't mentioned on the online menu, which was sent to all customers, including myself. While this meal was supposed to be served that same evening, the chef made no effort whatsoever to satisfy us. The reception staff were informed immediately, but there was no reaction; just apologies. This is supposed to be a reward for loyalty, unlike the place where I had a thalassotherapy treatment followed by a weekend getaway. It would be good to have consistent communication among all employees.

29/03/2026: My husband and I ate at this restaurant for lunch. We had eaten there occasionally before Covid and were happy with it, but given the negative reviews from our friends and family, we haven't been back since (I think the owners must have changed). Since the restaurants we wanted to go to were full, we decided to have lunch there. Not liking the menu, we each ordered a pizza. After a 45-minute wait and a complaint, the other tables that arrived after us had already been served, and our pizzas arrived 5 minutes later... what can I say! The crust was undercooked, so we couldn't eat it, and the topping was completely tasteless. I think they must be pre-made pizzas, but the least they could do is cook them properly! The waitress who served us was borderline rude, and the manager, clearing our half-eaten plates, said (we heard him from a distance): "Besides, this isn't our specialty..." Well, they shouldn't be selling it! We would have been better off going home to eat; it would have saved us 40 euros! Avoid at all costs!!!!

21/12/2025: Well, finding an open restaurant on Sunday, December 21st, in the south of Île d'Oléron, seems like a near-impossible feat. The café on the square is open, the welcome is warm, and the service is impeccable. A simple and pleasant moment. A hamburger and fries, a glass of Bordeaux, a coffee, and that's all it takes.

20/12/2025: Unfortunately, the restaurant is changing owners and by the time our review is published...it won't be the same food anymore... Good luck to those who are leaving, despite everything.

15/03/2026: Visited this Sunday for a family lunch. Fresh produce, clean restaurant, spotless restrooms. And the staff were very pleasant and professional. We highly recommend it.

22/03/2026: A mixed experience. We were served sparkling water in a carafe, without being opened in front of us or being told where it came from, for €6. We also ordered mussels: they were very small, probably because it's not yet the season. Perhaps this dish should be offered later in the season, or customers should be informed beforehand. Overall, it was acceptable, but the price/quality ratio and the lack of transparency left us perplexed. The welcome, however, was very good.

22/03/2026: Cold mussels, overwhelmed waitresses with only four tables. They let very drunk, obnoxious guys sit at one of their tables so they could continue drinking in the middle of everyone eating. Not a great experience.

19/04/2026: In a wheelchair, after waiting 10 minutes in front of an unattended shop window, I left. During that time, I noticed that insects (flies) were happily feasting on the ingredients in the open shop window.

06/04/2026: I wouldn't have imagined it was possible to achieve the perfect middle ground between raw fries inside and burnt fries outside, and yet... two stars for being open after midnight, even if we'll overlook the employee's lack of friendliness 👀

26/01/2025: Go elsewhere, there are many other bars in Saintes. The waiters are rude, don't want to serve you and let you know it. The cuisine, once again better elsewhere for less money and a warmer atmosphere. Go on your way.
