16/05/2026: A typical Alsatian spot, refined cuisine, very reasonable prices considering the quality of the food, and a smiling waitress from start to finish. Highly recommended.

05/04/2026: Mixed experience… I’ve known this place for 15 years and never had a problem before… I ordered a tarte flambée without onions… it arrived piled high with onions, and the edges were almost entirely covered in cream and onions… oh well, no big deal. We ordered kidneys and a turkey escalope in a cream sauce with spaetzle… how to put it… the kidneys were undercooked and the turkey escalope was dry and tough… not great at all… I’m not entirely convinced by the homemade chocolate Dame Blanche, and there was hardly any chocolate at all… The welcome and service were great, the waitress was smiling and very kind, no complaints there… But let’s just say I’m disappointed… I won’t be going back anytime soon…

17/05/2026: What a pleasure it was to rediscover the taste of the tarte flambée we ate as children! Perfectly cooked, a true delight, and impeccable service with humor, smiles, and as a bonus, a tour of the kitchen before leaving. What more could you ask for to have a wonderful evening?

18/02/2026: We regularly come to S'Fassner Stuebel to enjoy their tarte flambée, as my wife and I consider it one of the best in Alsace. We absolutely love it. This time, we came for a special evening event, which was a mussels and fries night. It felt very strange not to order tarte flambée at this restaurant :-) After a small aperitif, we tucked into the mussels and fries until we were full, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. We'd been wanting to try them for a while, so it was perfect timing... We then ordered the vacherin glacé (ice cream cake) and a homemade meringue with whipped cream, and to finish, a traditional coffee accompanied by a small liqueur offered by the owner. We had a wonderful evening and will be back very soon to eat again, and as always, enjoy their sublime tarte flambée...

14/06/2026: For a meal for two, the price was quite reasonable overall at €72.30. However, the restaurant menu arrived with a dead chip. A minor issue with the food: Starter: Tomato and burrata carpaccio It wasn't burrata (which is normally creamy inside) but buffalo mozzarella (soft) that I received on my plate! I shared it with my husband, only to find a piece of the packaging in our starter. Main Course: For me, the suggested order was sea bass fillet with a sauce swimming in oil. The fish was very good, but the rice was inedible. Luckily, I had asked for a small plate of raw vegetables (I received beets, carrots, and celery). My husband ordered beef fillet with green peppercorn sauce and fries, the meat swimming in a sauce that was also swimming in oil. It's a shame to see such a beautiful establishment, because inside the atmosphere is completely different; it's very dark. The decor leaves much to be desired, and we were bitten by mosquitoes, or I don't know if that was the cause. On the positive side, the waitress was very kind, understanding, and professional from start to finish.

26/05/2026: A lovely evening spent on the terrace. We received a tarte flambée as an aperitif before our drinks (we didn't find the concept very logical). My friend ordered a gratinée tarte flambée for her main course. It was soggy, heavy, and mushy... not particularly good in the end. My gourmet salad, on the other hand, was excellent, as was the duck breast for the third person. The desserts: strawberries, absolutely delicious!

15/05/2026: A most disappointing experience tonight. We ordered tarte flambée to take away. What a letdown when we saw the state of the tartes! They were far too cooked underneath; the burnt pastry tasted awful. There was hardly any cream on top, or what little there was was completely dried out. And a few bits of bacon were practically fighting amongst themselves! Frankly, this is the last time we'll be going back (unfortunately, it wasn't our first time, but we wanted to give it a second chance). The restaurant Au Chasseur used to be a reliable choice before the change of ownership. We won't be returning.

13/07/2026: We had a reservation for two on Saturday, July 11th. Upon arrival, we noticed that our waiter, Nicolas, was alone in the dining room, while there were at least 30 other customers. We thought the service would be slow, but no, Nicolas was fantastic! He handled everything without complaint, always with a smile! The food was excellent! The service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable! What more could you ask for?! Kudos to Nicolas and the chef for their outstanding service! 👏

21/06/2026: Beautiful, well-equipped accommodation. The air conditioning was very welcome! Parking. Quiet. A gîte you can book without hesitation.

24/02/2026: We stayed at the hotel in 2024 and dined at the restaurant. After moving to Alsace, we returned for lunch. The establishment is very well-run and the staff are friendly. The food is also very good... but the dishes arrive far too hot, not to say scalding.

01/01/2026: We just left this inn. As usual, it was perfect. The all-you-can-eat buffet (starters and desserts) and the main course (game, meat, and fish) were very good. They often have themed menus on Sundays... The atmosphere is calm and friendly. The staff is kind and attentive. I always go the day after New Year's and I never regret it. See you soon! ☺
