A special thank you to the staff and the exceptional attention of the owner who welcomed us. Adults and children alike were pampered.

26/05/2026: I stayed here with my dog during my through hike of the Vosges mountains. As there were not many other guests, we got a room upgrade with an amazing view! I loved the atmosphere, it's a little old but has a lot of charm. Really dog friendly and decent breakfast.

12/08/2026: A superb tourist trap. The food is just acceptable, the salad is swimming in dressing, and the vegetables are completely off despite being in season. Furthermore, the service was cold and unfriendly.

10/08/2026: A very disappointing experience at Brasserie La Halle aux Blés. We started with a green salad that was literally swimming in vinaigrette. For us, it was simply inedible. The Titanic had taken on water… We then chose an Alsatian sauerkraut advertised with six garnishes. Again, we were very disappointed: we didn't enjoy the dish and couldn't eat it. As Alsatians, we are particularly attached to our regional cuisine and expected something different from Alsatian sauerkraut. We nevertheless decided to give it one last chance with a dessert presented as homemade: a rhubarb tart. Unfortunately, the same result: we didn't enjoy it and left it. I should point out that this is solely our experience and our feelings about this meal, based on our knowledge of Alsatian cuisine. Everyone is obviously entitled to a different opinion, and I respect that. But for our part, this experience didn't make us want to repeat it. When you go to an Alsatian brasserie, you expect to find cuisine that lives up to our local heritage and, above all, to enjoy what you're served. I sincerely hope that improvements can be made, both for the benefit of the customers and for the sake of Alsatian cuisine.

15/08/2026: The food is very good, high quality, and well-prepared! It's good value for money, located on a charming street in Petite France, and the portions are generous. The servers are friendly. The grilled ham hock was excellent; I highly recommend it.

28/07/2026: One of the best and most delicious ways to spend 7 euros in Strasbourg is to visit this restaurant during happy hour. I was very satisfied because I could eat delicious food at a really low price. If you are visiting Strasbourg, I highly recommend coming to this restaurant for dinner.

23/05/2026: The welcome was a bit cold in a somewhat dated restaurant. The food was of good quality and plentiful, but could have been better presented by a seemingly tired owner.

21/08/2026: A special mention goes to the security guard and the cashiers who, young or old, permanent or seasonal, weekdays or Fridays/Saturdays, from opening in the morning to just minutes before closing time, always wear a huge smile. The only downside is the wait at the reception desk, which is often deserted. Or else, a horde of employees parade behind the counter, chatting amongst themselves as if the customers on the other side didn't exist. A little anecdote from this week: needing some tarte flambée bases, I came across an item in the self-service aisle that had mold on it, despite its expiration date not having passed. I then removed the product from the shelf to hand it directly to an employee at the deli counter who was busy putting away utensils on a table behind the counter. She took the product and tossed it aside, sighing because I had clearly disturbed her. A simple verbal thank you would have sufficed. What a shame. Next time, I'll mind my own business.

23/08/2026: Avoid this restaurant! The fleischnake was simply reheated in the microwave and tasteless, served with bland, unseasoned boiled red cabbage.

19/07/2026: Turn you away if you'd just like a drink, offered to have a dessert as they insisted on having food and they still said no. Absolutely stupid, could've made an easy €30, but instead turning away customers when tables are clearly free.

16/07/2026: An awesome, typically Alsatian tarte flambee restaurant. Great service, atmosphere and delicious food. If you're looking for the traditional real deal, this is as good as it gets. Very reasonably priced also.

14/07/2026: We had a reservation for six people and ended up crammed into a table for four, while just two meters away, four people were seated at a table for six. To top it all off, a waiter spoke to us very rudely, telling us to return to our table of four simply because we were trying to find a more suitable solution. Otherwise, the food was good.

14/07/2026: The reservation system needs to be reviewed. We booked for 6 but were seated at a table for 4, while a table for 6 next door was given for 4. We spent the evening packed in like sardines.

08/07/2026: Excellent restaurant. Good traditional Alsatian cuisine, generous portions. Reasonable prices. Good wine (especially the Pinot Blanc). Very calm and relaxed atmosphere.

24/05/2026: Dinner with my son in a retro music atmosphere. For starters, a delicious homemade terrine followed by a potato galette with smoked salmon. It's possible to buy the terrines before leaving.
