22/04/2026: Self-service snack bar - conveniently located on the slopes, I really liked the food (panini and soup), the prices are good, because elsewhere in Megeve it is quite expensive.

30/03/2026: A sure bet! Wonderful and pleasant breaks throughout the winter. Attentive, friendly, quick, and efficient staff. Delicious, well-presented, and flavorful dishes. There's something for everyone and every budget! I highly recommend it. Thank you for this winter, see you next year!

18/03/2026: The thing that stood out to us was how brilliant the staff here are - so welcoming, lovely and attentive. I think the owner was also going around, checking on guests and just being a fantastic host. The food was delicious - we ordered a pizza and a burger. The only thing we'd say would be to have a little less cheese on the pizza and more seasoning on the burger. We also ordered a waffle and ice cream for desert, which were homemade and super tasty. They're clear about where their ingredients come from too. Highly recommend and I think we'll be back - thank you!

The team is simply top-notch, the food equally so, and the location incredibly perfect with its beautiful sunny terrace! A business expertly run by two equally friendly young ladies, in short, everything is fantastic, hats off to the team! Go for it!

07/05/2026: The restaurant’s interior is very beautiful, the atmosphere is pleasant, and I really enjoyed the desserts and coffee. That’s why I decided to stay for the main course as well. But there was one thing that spoiled the experience a little: whilst I was eating my dessert, the cloth napkin was taken away from the table, so I didn’t even have anything to wipe my mouth with. I had to ask for a napkin separately for the main course as well. I ordered the vegetable risotto. Overall, it tasted very good, but the carrots and cauliflower were very tough, as if undercooked. Perhaps this is a feature of the recipe, but for me the texture was too hard. Otherwise, it’s a really lovely place, and you can tell that the food and presentation are done with care.

31/03/2026: The restaurant is very good, the food is excellent, it's true, but the manager is absolutely terrible (and it's not the first time he's disappointed us). With a bill of over €500 for four people, we were practically thrown out because the manager needed our table for a second seating (which he hadn't announced). Thanks to the waitresses/waitresses for their kindness; you must have experienced the same thing we did that evening, to the point of being told we hadn't received our jackets quickly enough. I left feeling disgusted; it's a shame.

15/05/2026: This review isn't about the food, which is excellent, but about everything else—and unfortunately, it ruins the whole experience. Upon arrival, we were told to leave at a specific time, even though several tables were available. This is quite surprising. During the meal, the pressure was constant: the servers stared at our plates, monitored our progress, and even communicated our progress through their earpieces. On several occasions, this became downright uncomfortable. The most unpleasant aspect was the reaction to our request for a doggy bag. The dish was very good, and I simply wanted to finish it at home. Although the request was granted, we were subjected to inappropriate remarks and a persistent, sarcastic attempt to discourage me from ordering dessert. I did order dessert—and I finished it, much to the disgruntled waiter's surprise :) Another point: some tables, with customers who were clearly wealthier than us, received very different treatment… My review is really about one waiter, whom I absolutely do not recommend and who ruined our service. The location is pleasant, as they're lucky enough to have a beautiful view, but the food is excellent, some of the best I've ever had. However, given the prices and the service, you'll get exactly the same experience at any competing restaurant. We now understand the bad reviews about this establishment.

31/05/2026: The sales staff are always very pleasant. I'm a big fan of the balanced baguette. The bread is always crusty, never soggy. The Easter chocolates we gave as gifts were all very much appreciated.

12/04/2026: Overall, we were very satisfied with our visit to Restaurant La Chaudanne in Morzine. The location is fantastic, especially if you're coming straight from the slopes – perfect for a relaxing break. The food was high quality, freshly prepared, and delicious. The regional specialties are particularly recommended. The portions were also generous. The service was friendly and attentive, although at times a little stressed due to the high volume of customers – which is understandable given the location. A bit more attention and speed would have been the icing on the cake. The ambiance is cozy and suits the alpine setting, but could be a bit more modern in some areas. All in all, a very solid restaurant with good food and a great location – we'll definitely be back!

09/04/2026: The best fondue we've ever had, by far, with excellent service. However, the vegetarian/vegan tart, which looked very promising, wasn't well made; the vegetarian in our group was very disappointed. The dish could easily have been better executed. The rest of us were very satisfied with our meals.
