13/12/2025: Food: 5 stars Value for money: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Decor: 1 star, very harsh, white lighting, very little taste in the decor. It's a shame; dimming the lights would have made a big difference!

13/12/2025: We had a very pleasant evening, with a very nice culinary experience from the beginning to the end of the meal, and service that lived up to expectations.

04/09/2024: Nous désirons commander les apéritifs vers les 13 heures et choisir les plats un peu plus tard. L'employé (avec une barbichette) me dit que si nous ne commandons pas les boissons et les plats choisis, il y aura de l'attente; je lui dit que nous avons le temps et il me répond que lui, il n'a pas le temps et qu'il ferme à 14 heures. Mon épouse et sa soeur décident quand même de passer la commande des boissons et les filets de perches. Ce même personnage apporte les 2 verres de vin de Chardonnay et la bouteille d'eau minérale, mais pose les 3 boissons sur le bord de la table et disparait ! les filets de perches et les frites sont servis sur des plats préchauffés; le même serveur met "en tas" les perches et les frites dans les assiettes et nous les donnent. nous mangeons presque la totalité du premier service........ et arrive la salade ! plus tard, constatant que personne ne passe pour le 2ème service, nous nous servons nous-mêmes, de toute façon les perches et les frites étaient froides depuis longtemps. Ce déplorable service nous a évidemment incité à ne pas commander les desserts et les cafés. Philippe Languetin, Genève

03/05/2025: We had lunch outside in the courtyard behind the restaurant which is a place full of charm and freshness, the simplicity of the tables and chairs gives it a very warm feel. The food is delicious, we ate two salads full of good, well-crafted produce! I recommend this restaurant to everyone, you can enter with your eyes closed!

18/01/2025: A magnificent place; the decoration of the hotel is modern and very beautiful, the rooms are amazing. The welcome is perfect and the meal excellent. The view from the hotel, just a stone's throw from the lake, adds further charm to the place. We had a wonderful weekend!

15/09/2025: I have the pleasure of eating there regularly at lunchtime. I only have an hour's break, and not only do we eat well, we are well received, but we can also eat quickly. Jamila, Max, and their entire team are truly amazing, the prices are very reasonable, the food is superb, and the atmosphere is ideal.

01/10/2024: I was on my bike, looking for a bar in Samoëns to drink a little coke, and I came across this beautiful place and open by chance, which is rare in the off-season!! What a lovely surprise, a terrible terrace with a crazy view, over the mountains, the interior, is terribly beautiful, and very cocooning, warm with a very beautiful decor 😍 I quickly hit it off with Stéphane, the very kind manager of the establishment!! A pleasure to drink my little coke on the terrace, accompanied by very pleasant music, the little extra to have a good time. It's sure, it's a great place to come back with friends to have a good time over a drink (or two🤪) and a good board (or two🤪🤣) 👉 See you soon at Big Bear 🍺😍🍹

02/12/2024: A great restaurant. Very simple atmosphere, old-fashioned decor that reminded me of my grandmother in details. The napkins, the little orange cast iron casserole dishes.... A diverse menu that's just what you need. A cuisine that will knock your socks off.... The warm and friendly service. When leaving the station, don't hesitate to walk a few kilometers to eat much better there, and at a reasonable price. Thanks to them for welcoming us at 9 p.m. In short, we will go back... 🤩

31/10/2024: Super endroit. Carte alléchante et personnel au petits soins. Nous étions 2 et dans la nuit et le lendemain, très malade, diarrhée, vomissement, crampes à l estomac = intoxication alimentaire. Désormais je vais éviter cet endroit

05/12/2025: You've barely arrived when a door opens, a smile greets you, and your luggage finds its place on the trolley as if by magic. An upgrade takes me to the suite, which impresses not with size, but with thoughtful restraint: everything is there to make your stay pleasant – from the calming colors to the balcony, which on warm days is sure to be the best spot in the house. The view of the lake: unobstructed. The room: quiet, although occasionally a piece of furniture goes on a journey to neighboring rooms. Service at the bar and in the restaurant? Pleasant – with that gentle understatement that doesn't feel forced. You're noticed, but not hounded. A hotel you remember – not for grand gestures, but because it lingers in your memory like a place you'd gladly return to when you're in the area and know what you want: peace, a view, and service.

17/11/2025: A very nice hotel. A minor drawback was the Jade room, where one of the two beds made creaking and squeaking noises as soon as you lay down. The bed was still comfortable, though. Excellent restaurant with friendly and well-trained staff. Delicious menu, special mention for the chocolate dessert, truly exceptional! Thank you again to the person who cleaned the room after our departure and who actively helped me find a watch I had left behind.
