31/05/2026: I had a wonderful 3-night stay at the Hotel Les Terrasses. My room was spacious and comfortable, and impeccably clean. The garden is a real bonus for relaxing and enjoying a drink served by very pleasant hosts. There's a large shopping center right next door, and an underpass beneath the train station provides quick access to the city center and old town.

23/03/2026: A true inn in the heart of the mountains. An old farmhouse dating back to the early 1800s, it's simply magnificent, perched high above the valley with its terrace. The view is breathtaking. Inside, you'll find all the warmth and authenticity of a traditional wooden building. The upper floor is reserved for guest rooms. The rooms are cozy. Each room has its own bathroom. Animal hides are everywhere. In short, we were very comfortable. Even the staircase leading up to it takes you along a waterfall. In short, a little corner of the mountains that you won't forget.

31/07/2026: We'd been wanting to try Marie-Jo's cooking for ages, and it took the Hostel being closed due to rockfalls for us to finally discover it at the Wood Café. The welcome was very friendly, the menu small but appetizing, and we tried the chicken burger and the halloumi, which we absolutely loved. They were bursting with aromas and flavors, a generous portion with fries and salad, and just enough room for a delicious cheesecake. We'll be back!!

Here, the ingredients are top-quality, and "homemade" isn't just a marketing ploy; it's a way of life. Why you absolutely must go: The Cuisine: Authentic, fresh, and prepared to order. You can taste the respect for the ingredients in every dish. The Atmosphere: It's incredibly welcoming. The owners are exceptionally kind, making the experience even more enjoyable. The Price: For this level of quality in the area, the prices are more than reasonable. It's the best value for money in the Annecy region. In short, an address that deserves to be known and recognized by all lovers of true gastronomy. A big congratulations to the team!

28/06/2026: Hi there, While I’m usually quick to complain, I don’t always take the time to share positive feedback, so here it is, My partner and I had the most wonderful lunch at Black Bass Hôtel, and I wanted to make sure the team knows how much we appreciated it. The staff were warm, professional, and genuinely approachable. Which might sound like a given, but these days it’s increasingly rare and always worth acknowledging. Having tried several other spots in Annecy, Black Bass Hôtel sits firmly at the top. The food was excellent, Charlie’s service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was just right. Worth mentioning: after calling every 5-star hotel in Annecy (not a long list), they were the only ones still doing club sandwiches, a small thing perhaps, but that’s what I was specifically looking to eat that day 😂 A couple of details that also stood out: free parking, a refreshing contrast to the places charging up to €15 with no justification and, with temperatures hitting 37°C, the fact that they have air conditioning was very much appreciated. Thank you, Charlie, and the whole Black Bass Hôtel team! I’ll definitely be back!

18/05/2026: Located on the west side of Lake Annecy, the hotel offered rooms with excellent views of the lake and the mountains across the way, and the rooms were clean and well-maintained. It was wonderful to be able to leisurely enjoy the magnificent view, which was even better than the view from the city center. When I needed to get around the city, I could take a city bus, ride a bicycle, or walk, as the buses ran quite frequently. Walking along the lakeside was particularly enjoyable as I could take in the scenery. The staff at the front desk, bar, restaurant, and fitness center were always friendly and smiling. In particular, on the last day, I had no choice but to make an unreasonable request due to transportation issues, but thanks to their willingness to help, I was able to resolve the situation successfully. I will never forget my experience at the Black Bath Hotel Annecy. Thank you for making this a wonderful experience.

02/09/2026: A huge congratulations to the new owner of the Lac & Montagne restaurant in Saint-Jorioz, who has transformed an establishment whose previous concept had nothing to do with Savoyard cuisine and offered "exceptional" dishes where only the bill was truly exceptional. Today, the change is clear, visible, and above all, very successful. The restaurant benefits from easy access, a reserved parking area, and a pleasant setting with its mini-golf course, perfect for extending the experience (even if, after a tartiflette, aiming for the hole becomes a high-level sport). Upon arrival, we received a prompt, warm, and very friendly welcome. Our order was taken within a very reasonable timeframe, with commendable transparency: we were informed that the tartiflette required 20 minutes of preparation. And the promised delivery times were perfectly respected. We chose two tartiflettes and two rib-eye steaks: the dishes were generous, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Special mention goes to the tartiflette, whose amount of cheese would make any Savoyard melt with delight. The prices are reasonable, finally in line with the quality and generous portions. After the meal, we played a round of mini-golf: a very enjoyable activity, even if digestion makes some of the obstacles a bit more… athletic. In short: The new owner has breathed new life and value into this place that I've known for 50 years. Well done! We will gladly return.

02/06/2026: A very warm welcome, very pleasant service, and the food is excellent! Shaded by linden trees and parasols. Very pretty! Very clean. You can eat fera there: a lake fish caught by the last two fishermen of Annecy! And that's for sure! Their photos are on the tables... Generous portions from appetizer to dessert!!!!! And that's not something you find everywhere!! I recommend it. Booking is the safest option...

31/05/2026: A lovely family-run hotel with superb service, a very good restaurant, and a very generous breakfast at a reasonable price. We stayed there for a cycling holiday. It's very well located along the greenway and not far from many of the area's airports. 👌 If we return to the area, we've already found our hotel.
