06/05/2026: A very pleasant stay at this quiet and clean hotel, conveniently located in a shopping area with private parking, which is very practical. The room was clean, with comfortable bedding, ample storage, and a very nice working bathtub. The restaurant offers a wide selection of quality dishes, and the breakfast was also very satisfying. Thank you to Emmy for her warm and professional welcome!

14/07/2026: The terrace is superb, the waitresses are super friendly, but 30 euros for a Coke, a syrup, and a charcuterie board is still expensive, even if it was very good.

07/07/2026: The staff were very pleasant and efficient, but the perch fillets were mediocre: four fillets and crumbs on the plate, about five in total. The lemon sauce needs improvement. Luckily, there were fries and salad to fill us up a bit, all for €28. A shame, because the place is beautiful.

04/08/2026: Very unwelcoming and unfriendly. Solo diners are not welcome. I sat at a table on the terrace, there were only two other diners there. I waited 10 minutes and eventually a waitress came and told me that the tables are only for diners, I explained that I was hoping to have lunch, she asked if I was on my own, when I said that I was she said she would have to check with the manager. I left at that point as I was made to feel very unwelcome. There are other lovely restaurants in La Roche that don’t have a negative attitude and welcome customers - even if they are on their own. Avoid! Edit August 2026 What a difference a year makes! New management that is welcoming and friendly. Really enjoyed my delicious lunch here!

22/07/2026: Nice little brasserie, lovely outdoor terrace, fast, efficient, and friendly service. Very good brasserie-style food (with a special mention for the gourmet coffee), and the price is right too.

20/07/2026: Even the town hall admits that the cost of waste collection is too high and refuses to provide bins. Leave the beach clean, but sunbathe with your trash next to you to throw away at home: that's "progress." 🤡 (You have to pay for quality services. 🤡)

18/08/2026: First time here. Great location. Great weather. The hotel is wow and very stylish. The food is so so not very good. Nothing special. The service is also not the best . I will come back for coffee and desserts but not for a meal. I was expecting better experience than this. Have a great meal. DrSD26.

06/08/2026: A very nice restaurant with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The meat was of excellent quality, as were the side dishes, which were delicious. The service was very professional, attentive, and pleasant from beginning to end. An excellent restaurant in Megève that I highly recommend!

20/08/2026: A truly wonderful experience! Everything was perfect, from the warm welcome upon arrival and the service to the meal itself. Absolutely nothing to complain about! We ordered two classic pizzas and one gluten-free pizza, and all three were excellent! The interior decor is lovely, and the mountain view is magnificent! You can go there without hesitation! We will definitely be back!

03/08/2026: With all the beautiful, clean places around the lake where you can eat well, avoid this one at all costs!!! I used to come to La Seiche with the children for a few years; it was lovely. There was a pool table, darts, a ping-pong table, well-cared-for animals, a ball pit, and a few arcade games. Now everything has been removed, and it's completely run-down. Children have to watch where they walk in sandals because the ground is covered in cigarette butts, broken glass, and dog excrement (see photos). Dogs roam freely, not even on leashes, while people are eating and there are children around. They've closed off the entire upper floor and all the space behind the building, which means it fills up very quickly. A poor pony in the middle of all this is heartbreaking for everyone. The dance floor where we used to play with the kids now costs 5 euros per person... in short, we imagined this place would improve over time given its potential, but in the end, it's quite the opposite. We won't be going back until there's a new owner. The waiter, though a bit older, still makes great cocktails.

31/07/2026: The meal was okay, but the value for money was really poor. The rice wasn't cooked enough, the meat was disappointing, and the dishes arrived cold. Tip: Always ask for a receipt or ticket that matches what you pay. At the end of the evening, I returned the credit card they used to pay for the meals. They told me there was no money left on it. However, after checking, there was still €50 on the card. This situation seemed very suspicious to me, especially since I'm not the first person to report this type of problem.

08/08/2026: Too bad it was far too long and a bit poorly organized... But the food was delicious...

01/08/2026: The food was very good, and the location near the lake was pleasant, but the wait was incredibly long (we arrived at 8:15 PM with a reservation, and dinner ended shortly before midnight). We arrived (a family of four, including a child and a teenager), and despite having made a reservation, our table wasn't ready. They seated us very close to the other diners. The waiter was rude, hastily asking if we wanted an aperitif. When we said no, and asked if we could order, we were told to wait because he would come by later to order the food, without even listening to our son's request for water. Seeing that things were taking too long, we asked for an aperitif, and the waiter then told us he would come back later. It went on like this all evening; each time the waiter came by, he rushed us as if they were doing us a favor, and then it took almost an hour for the next course. When it came time to pay, we discovered that there was a "kid's menu" for children (not listed on the menu), but we weren't offered this, and our son ordered an adult's dish (and was billed accordingly). Perhaps the number of people that evening was exceptionally high, which explains the poor service, but then why accept reservations if you can't guarantee at least decent service?

20/04/2026: Since the butcher's cut was flank steak, I ordered a Mont Blanc tartare. Disappointment! There was just a tiny bit of ham on top (see photo). I also ordered a mille-feuille 🤐 Disappointed compared to last year. I no longer eat at Grands Montets; I plan half-day trips and eat in Chamonix. I lose a bit of time, but I prefer it. €45 for a bad meal. The owner's explanation: it's the end of the season 😡

08/04/2026: I really enjoyed the soup, the draft cider, and the mint chocolate ice cream! The staff is super friendly, the music is good, and the terrace is sunny. Great spot in Argentière.

08/04/2026: Definitely not family friendly nor is if friendly. (Head waiter was rude, and clearly showed he didn’t want us there) - kids menu wasn’t on offer as advertised outside, and walked off in the middle of taking our order. The Risotto was great but otherwise it as expensive meal for a high stress, grumpy staff with not much on offer.
