24/03/2026: I had an absolutely perfect time. I chose a savory waffle and French toast, and everything was delicious. The savory waffle was original and perfectly balanced, and the French toast… a real winner! The staff is welcoming and friendly. You immediately feel at ease. The atmosphere is warm, with excellent rapport between the staff and customers, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend it for a successful brunch with friends or family. I will definitely be back!

19/04/2026: The manager is very friendly and polite. He's very involved in the restaurant. It's great to see that. However, the explanations regarding the children's menu (which cup to use, etc.) need to be reviewed.

17/03/2026: I haven't been to this restaurant, but reading the reviews doesn't make me want to go. What I regret is that management says they're sorry about the negative reviews but doesn't offer any solutions or explanations, which could have led to a better understanding of the situation.

15/03/2026: The waitresses were friendly, but the food was very basic, almost cafeteria-style. The green salad was covered in a very vinegary dressing, difficult to eat, and the hamburger was already cold and underseasoned. Even the hot chocolate didn't win over our children—they didn't finish it, which is very rare for them! The fries were okay, but that's about it. It feels like the place is mainly in business because skiers don't really have any other options in this small resort.

21/12/2025: The waitress was nice, but the only downside was the €15 salad with very unappealing lettuce leaves. I pointed it out to the waitress, but there was no apology from the kitchen staff. Shame on them!

08/11/2025: Excellent steak tartare prepared right before your eyes. Prompt service despite the restaurant being full. Very reasonable price considering the quality and quantity. Thank you for this relaxing break.

22/02/2026: Lunch with family while skiing - and unfortunately it was a real disappointment. For a venue with around 140-150 seats, having just one single-person toilet is frankly unacceptable. The queue was consistently 10+ people deep, which is not what you expect when you’re trying to get back out onto the slopes. The food - below mediocre and massively overpriced for the quality delivered. The interior - tired and run-down, looks cheap and the overall layout is to squeeze in as many covers as possible rather than creating a comfortable dining experience. Service from the waiting staff was okay, but the manager was notably unfriendly and dismissive, which only added to the poor experience. Would not return and would advise others to avoid.

23/01/2026: This isn't my first time going there, as I often go to the hamlets of Lay, and it's a nice place when you don't feel like going all the way to the village center... The food isn't bad, which is why I'm not giving it less than two stars, but the problem is that it really leaves you wanting more. My wife and I ordered raclette, and in the end, we got four potatoes, a tiny bit of charcuterie, half of a quarter of a wheel of raclette cheese, and it came to €60, €72 with drinks... So it's incredibly profitable for them because, given the amount of charcuterie, potatoes, and cheese, it probably only costs them €15 at most. And even then, I understand that inflation affects everyone, but in this case, it's really because they know they have a mostly wealthy clientele and they take advantage of it, since a glass of Gamay costs €7 and a [unclear - possibly "a glass of Gamay" is around €15] Dessert (which we didn't order) was excessive for a restaurant that, while admittedly having a nice atmosphere and rather friendly young waiters, wasn't exactly a fine dining establishment. Anyway, they did offer us génépi at the end as a consolation prize, but I had to practically beg for it. And to top it all off, they'd charged us for an extra glass of wine, which they only refunded after I noticed...

24/12/2025: We came for Christmas dinner. The dishes offered were sophisticated, but the flavors didn't live up to the promise: very bland, lacking seasoning. You can tell they wanted to do well, but the combinations weren't successful, and some dishes were truly disappointing. For the children's vegetarian meal, the potatoes were undercooked and scattered all over the plate, with no presentation whatsoever. So, I was really disappointed with the experience.

05/02/2026: Incredible! We spent three days there with friends. The place is amazing, the rooms are amazing, the food was also fantastic (breakfast could perhaps be improved, but otherwise great), and the owners, contrary to some reviews I've read, were incredibly friendly and amazing! Highly recommended!

13/01/2026: AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Don't be fooled by the owners' fake smiles. Mrs. Berger spends her time complaining and criticizing her other guests (don't think you'll be spared), and all she cares about is money. Ask for a mug of hot water, and she'll tell her waiters to bring you a tiny cup. She'll refuse glasses for your room because you have to order at the bar, of course. And half-board is already ridiculously expensive for what you'll eat… (the raclette is a joke). Glasses of wine at €14 that you finish in three sips… etc. Always thinking we're deaf, Mr. Berger told one of his employees that they had to, and I quote, "figure out the sauna" (which barely works). Very pleasant to wait for. Furthermore, he always speaks very, very rudely to his poor employees. I'll skip over the fact that the jacuzzi wasn't working, nor was the coffee machine, the Wi-Fi, and so on. And when it was time to leave, no goodbye, no offer to take us out, nothing. We've never seen anything like it. Luckily the waiters were there; they were young, helpful, and friendly. But my goodness, the poor things, working for bosses who respect no one. In short, avoid this place; there are plenty of other hotels and chalets at the foot of the slopes with people who love their work.

30/03/2026: Where to begin… A hotel that claims to be 4 stars, but we really wonder what criteria they use. The room was more like an Ibis Budget: damaged walls, peeling paint, a leaky shower, a creaky bed, and the heating was off when we arrived. The service was clearly below the advertised standard. For those of you planning to book this hotel with a Smartbox… good luck, you'll almost certainly end up with the same room as seen in several reviews! The staff doesn't help matters: inattentive, almost unpleasant, with a tendency to blame the guests rather than take their comments into account. There's also a major problem with the "romantic welcome" option: after calling the hotel, we were told everything was included… only to discover upon arrival that nothing had been arranged. And of course, we were then told it was our fault. As for the "gastronomic" restaurant, the disappointment was just as pronounced: allergies were ignored (fish was served despite our warning), the staff responded mockingly, and the Savoyard fondue was lukewarm, very alcoholic (the kirsch wasn't mentioned beforehand), and had an unpleasant texture. When we voiced our concerns, the reaction was curt and unprofessional. Finally, breakfast: very little choice, products of questionable quality (juice with sediment, stale bread, damaged fruit). Nothing like what one expects from a 4-star hotel. In short, a very disappointing experience: a lack of maintenance, professionalism, and customer consideration. We are used to 4-star hotels, and this one falls far short of our expectations. Based on the other negative reviews, we expect a rather harsh response from La Famille...

22/02/2026: Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and nice spa. However probably not worth the price per room, location not great without car, and 30€ breakfast per person on top seemed a stretch. Do not recommend to provide feedback verbally, as feedback is taken as a personal affront by staff.

31/03/2026: We were lucky to find a small table. The welcome was very warm, with friendly waiters. Based on the reviews, I chose the avocado roll: a very good choice, I wasn't disappointed at all. At noon, it was very busy, the restaurant was almost full, which confirms the quality of the establishment. The food is excellent. I particularly appreciated the fact that there were only three ice cubes in the glass: you really taste the spritz, which is unusual. I was a little hesitant to come because of some previous reviews, not really knowing what to expect, but in the end, I don't regret it at all. I wasn't disappointed!

12/04/2026: Delicious food that awakened my taste buds like opening a bag of chips in bed at night. Quick service and friendly staff (it felt great 😁). It's located right on the lake, with a beautiful view, which is lovely.

22/03/2026: We received a very warm welcome, the service was quick, the food was excellent, and the staff were very attentive to our 15-month-old child. We will definitely return during our stay, as our experience at this restaurant was the complete opposite of the negative reviews we had read.

18/03/2026: 1 star is too much. Service was terrible. Long wait for our order to be taken. Waiter seemed to spend more time on his phone. Food was an embarrassment to French cuisine. Steak served raw then nuked in a microwave. Absolutely drenched in some unidentified 'sauce' with tinned vegetables and 9 chips. Paid £28 for that. Splendid stuff. Had the audacity to actually ask for a tip 🤣 I'll give you a tip... train your staff and employ a new chef.
