24/05/2026: Very disappointed. I bought stale, not fresh croissants; the bread was often dry, practically from the day before. Considering the price, it's a disgrace. The more time passes, the worse it gets. I won't be coming back.

08/05/2026: Disappointing. The pastries are very expensive. €6 for a Paris-Brest with buttercream instead of mousseline cream. Better pastries further afield, cheaper, and made according to the original recipe.

15/04/2026: Extremely expensive for what we ate. It was good, but 200 euros for 2 adults and 2 children is still very, very expensive. The food was good but expensive…

14/04/2026: The worrying thing about end of season Avoriaz is that very few of the restaurants are open. However fear not because Les Fontaines Blanches is probably one of the best places to eat in the Haut Savoie. Great staff who are warm and welcoming. It is easy to catch their eye when you need something. The quality of the food is sublime. Our party had: Entrecote aux morelles, (ribeye in mushroom sauce) which was tender and tasty. Tartiflette had a thick cheese and perfect crust, loaded with bacon. Escalope Savoyarde was tender chicken with a layer of ham and cream cheese in a cheese sauce, so delicious. Somebody in the kitchen cares about their customers experience. Yes its a bit more expensive, but so worth it.

01/03/2026: I was disappointed with this restaurant. It's true that it's inexpensive (thankfully), but it's unacceptable that a galette was as crunchy as a potato chip; it was overcooked, just like the pizza dough… It's a shame because these are simple recipes to make, I don't understand it. Furthermore, we waited quite a while to be served.

28/02/2026: The savory crepe was delicious; I had an "Indy" crepe, a real treat for food lovers 😋 I was disappointed by the neglect of cleanliness in the restrooms. It's deteriorated considerably in 20 years. However, the food remains exemplary and excellent 😋

07/03/2026: A very pleasant surprise! A delightful mountain restaurant with flavorful and fresh dishes. I was thrilled to enjoy a vegetarian red coconut curry with unique fresh vegetables on a day of skiing! The terrace is lovely; you can sunbathe and relax—just what you need to head back out onto the slopes feeling refreshed. Thank you for everything!

05/03/2026: We arrived for lunch as a couple. There were several empty tables. We sat down at one of them. The waiter repeatedly ignored us, apparently because we hadn't noticed his instructions – though definitely not intentionally. He then told us we had to wait. When he finally came, he told us to sit at a different table – even though there were still plenty of other free tables. We then left the restaurant. The behavior was unfriendly, unprofessional, and like something out of a kindergarten.

05/05/2026: Virginie joined us for a very pleasant meal in the center of Chamonix. Great place, great food, great atmosphere, and perfect service, plus Virginie's smile. I highly recommend it.

05/05/2026: Tourist trap! The beautiful terrace and the somewhat loud and overly friendly waitress are incredibly inviting... But the food was a huge disappointment! We ordered a chicken burger, which consisted of a simple bun with a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, and a dripping, deep-fried piece of chicken breast. I couldn't even bring myself to try the Savoyard burger, with its thin patty, lettuce leaf, tomato slice, and some cheese stuck to the bun – I was so disappointed by the sorry sight! The greasy fries on the side didn't help matters. 26 euros for such a burger is outrageous. The no-name ketchup on the table should have been a warning sign. At least I didn't have to pay for the untouched burger.

24/05/2026: We arrived for a drink before our helicopter flight, and the waitress was incredibly rude. She refused our order, saying she didn't have time, even though there were only 10 customers on the terrace. It's outrageous and disrespectful! A couple also arrived to eat and received the same response, so they left for Megève, completely disappointed! I'm giving it one star, but it doesn't even deserve that!

19/03/2026: A room that evokes the warmth of the mountains, a wonderful family running the hotel, with their son in the kitchen offering exceptional quality dishes that will leave you wanting more, a full breakfast served by the lovely Michèle, rooms with balconies, tables and chairs, and pretty bathrooms, very comfortable beds and high-quality linens—care is evident throughout the building. Not to mention the location, away from the village center, a delight for children. A warm and pleasant welcome after a long day of travel. Will we return? Yes, without hesitation! The peace and quiet are perfect, yet only a 10-15 minute walk (without ski boots). The prices are reasonable compared to other resorts in the village. When I read some of the negative comments, I don't understand their negativity. Perhaps they're used to higher standards but don't want to pay the price. We found the price, the welcome, and the quality to be excellent.

13/03/2026: The service I received on the phone was extremely poor; I called at 10 PM to make a reservation. They hung up on me outright. I went to another hotel.

06/01/2026: We booked a table for nine people the day before our departure, and they had already booked us for the following day. It was impossible to find another restaurant at 7:30 pm on a Saturday night. The owners were unreliable and not very friendly.

04/01/2026: A warm and inviting restaurant with beautiful decor and attentive staff. The raclette was decent, nothing special. The charcuterie platter was adequate, with plenty of potatoes. The cheese portion was just enough for two people, nothing like the restaurants Les Cornettes or L'Atelier de Jacky in La Chapelle d'Abondance, where you leave with a truly full stomach.

29/01/2026: Restaurant IDEAL is far from ideal. Sausage and mashed potatoes worthy of a fast-food joint, at an astronomical price. Dirty toilets. Haughty and disdainful management. Only the terrace and its view would justify a photo stop. A meal to avoid.

03/04/2026: Me and my husband were horribly sick after eating pizzas from rencard, the service is poor, the pizzas are like à millimiter thick. Would not recommend

27/03/2026: Generally just okay. Kinda of strange that they wouldn't let you sit inside out of the cold, even though the restaurant was empty just to have a drink only if you buy food can you have that privilege.

11/05/2026: Dining at Restaurant Super Megève was an excellent experience and one of my favorite lunch stops while skiing in Megève. The location is perfect, as the restaurant is accessible both on skis and on foot by taking the gondolas, which makes it very convenient even if not everyone in the group is skiing. The atmosphere is great for a ski day lunch, with a warm and enjoyable mountain feel. It’s the kind of place where you can take a real break, enjoy the setting, and continue your day in the mountains feeling refreshed. The food was excellent, especially the meat, which was very well prepared, flavorful, and satisfying. Everything felt generous and perfect for a proper mountain lunch. Overall, I really enjoyed Restaurant Super Megève. Between the location, the atmosphere, and the quality of the food, it’s definitely a place I would recommend for lunch during a ski day in Megève.

06/05/2026: Our experience was very mixed. Positive: - Comfortable bedding and a lovely view - The staff was very pleasant - The wine was very good (perfectly paired) - The view was beautiful, especially at sunset - Very quiet Negative: - For a seven-course dinner, we expected fresh bread, but it was dry. - The service was very slow; two and a half hours to eat is far too slow, especially since it wasn't really seven courses. The amuse-bouches aren't supposed to count as a course (we're used to Michelin-starred restaurants), and the rest of the meal should have been served quickly. - The room was shabby: peeling paint, noisy shower (when all they needed was a new faucet), and a bandage was used to repair the hairdryer... - There was a room with lots of board games, which was great! Except that the games are incomplete; we tested about ten of them, and there's always something missing...

05/05/2026: A haven of serenity (and delicious food) overlooking the mountains! An absolutely perfect stay at this aptly named establishment. From the moment you arrive, you're struck by the tranquility and the breathtaking view of the valley, but it's the welcome that truly makes the difference: warm, professional, and genuine. Spa: A pure moment of relaxation. The facilities are impeccable, and the view from the relaxation areas is simply magical. It's the ideal remedy after a day on the trails (or slopes!). I'll just mention the absence of a jacuzzi. There's a hammam, sauna, massage shower, and hanging chairs with a tea area. But no jacuzzi. Dining: Special mention for the restaurant! You can feel the genuine attention to local products, which are enhanced with finesse. It's top-notch, both for the palate and the service. The hotel's eco-responsible commitment (the first bioclimatic hotel in the region, if I'm not mistaken!) allows you to enjoy luxury guilt-free. In short, whether it's the attentive staff or the quality of the services, La Croix de Savoie is a rare find in Les Carroz. You come for the view, you stay for the experience. Thank you for this timeless moment!

29/03/2026: Sunday, March 29th. No heating in the tea room: welcome to the fridge! I see the management has decided to take care of its customers by turning off the heating. If you're planning on having a good time, bring your down jackets and blankets… or better yet, choose another establishment.
