23/02/2026: More restaurant than a bar for a quick hot chocolate or coffee. Had a positive experience previously of this last time , good honest food

22/02/2026: Lunch with family while skiing - and unfortunately it was a real disappointment. For a venue with around 140-150 seats, having just one single-person toilet is frankly unacceptable. The queue was consistently 10+ people deep, which is not what you expect when you’re trying to get back out onto the slopes. The food - below mediocre and massively overpriced for the quality delivered. The interior - tired and run-down, looks cheap and the overall layout is to squeeze in as many covers as possible rather than creating a comfortable dining experience. Service from the waiting staff was okay, but the manager was notably unfriendly and dismissive, which only added to the poor experience. Would not return and would advise others to avoid.

14/02/2026: The all-you-can-eat buffet was fairly average overall. A major negative point: the manager reprimanded a young, clearly new employee by yelling at him in the fish department in front of us customers. This type of behavior is clearly unprofessional and creates an uncomfortable atmosphere for customers. He should try to be more considerate, especially during busy periods, because yelling at his employees won't improve their work.

09/01/2026: The staff were incredibly rude and impolite! I've never seen anything like it. I regretted having lunch there! The food wasn't amazing, very basic, and the staff... I strongly advise against it.

30/12/2025: Service that pushes you to leave as quickly as you arrived. Open toilets are unacceptable.

15/03/2026: We celebrated our parents' wedding anniversary at this restaurant and had an absolutely perfect day. The welcome was warm, the service attentive, and the atmosphere very pleasant. The entire team was friendly, professional, and took excellent care of their customers. Everything was perfect for a wonderful time and to create lasting memories of this special occasion. We highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be back!

03/09/2025: A disgrace!! I ordered a verbena infusion with a slice of lemon. After forgetting the lemon, they came back with the slice and a bill of €0.20!! The prices aren't cheap, but apparently lemon is expensive...

02/09/2025: We sat down on the terrace and a waiter came to clear the table. We said hello to him, but there was no response. He looked at us very badly. Bad experience.

09/12/2025: The staff were particularly unfriendly and unwelcoming. Despite the restaurant being empty, we had to wait several minutes before they agreed to seat us at a table with a stroller.

07/12/2025: Disastrous! We arrived at 2:30/3:00 PM with two young children to order two coffees, one tea, and two sodas. The waiter (who was incredibly rude, by the way) told us that he no longer served coffee or tea at that time, but a cappuccino would be fine, LOL… all just to boost sales with alcohol. On a rainy Sunday with two children, it's even more unacceptable. He curtly replied, "Management orders."

04/03/2026: Unpleasant waitress, disastrous food, nothing works in this place… just grab a coffee to chill, and even then, getting it brought back and paying will take forever, plus it's overpriced for dry, burnt fries… what a shame with such potential!

28/02/2026: We found a seat and called the waiter, but he preferred smoking a cigarette and flirting with tourists to serving us. I went to the bar, and they told me there was no bar service. They said the waiter would be here soon, but he never arrived and left after 30 minutes.

05/02/2026: Incredible! We spent three days there with friends. The place is amazing, the rooms are amazing, the food was also fantastic (breakfast could perhaps be improved, but otherwise great), and the owners, contrary to some reviews I've read, were incredibly friendly and amazing! Highly recommended!

13/01/2026: AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Don't be fooled by the owners' fake smiles. Mrs. Berger spends her time complaining and criticizing her other guests (don't think you'll be spared), and all she cares about is money. Ask for a mug of hot water, and she'll tell her waiters to bring you a tiny cup. She'll refuse glasses for your room because you have to order at the bar, of course. And half-board is already ridiculously expensive for what you'll eat… (the raclette is a joke). Glasses of wine at €14 that you finish in three sips… etc. Always thinking we're deaf, Mr. Berger told one of his employees that they had to, and I quote, "figure out the sauna" (which barely works). Very pleasant to wait for. Furthermore, he always speaks very, very rudely to his poor employees. I'll skip over the fact that the jacuzzi wasn't working, nor was the coffee machine, the Wi-Fi, and so on. And when it was time to leave, no goodbye, no offer to take us out, nothing. We've never seen anything like it. Luckily the waiters were there; they were young, helpful, and friendly. But my goodness, the poor things, working for bosses who respect no one. In short, avoid this place; there are plenty of other hotels and chalets at the foot of the slopes with people who love their work.

23/01/2026: This isn't my first time going there, as I often go to the hamlets of Lay, and it's a nice place when you don't feel like going all the way to the village center... The food isn't bad, which is why I'm not giving it less than two stars, but the problem is that it really leaves you wanting more. My wife and I ordered raclette, and in the end, we got four potatoes, a tiny bit of charcuterie, half of a quarter of a wheel of raclette cheese, and it came to €60, €72 with drinks... So it's incredibly profitable for them because, given the amount of charcuterie, potatoes, and cheese, it probably only costs them €15 at most. And even then, I understand that inflation affects everyone, but in this case, it's really because they know they have a mostly wealthy clientele and they take advantage of it, since a glass of Gamay costs €7 and a [unclear - possibly "a glass of Gamay" is around €15] Dessert (which we didn't order) was excessive for a restaurant that, while admittedly having a nice atmosphere and rather friendly young waiters, wasn't exactly a fine dining establishment. Anyway, they did offer us génépi at the end as a consolation prize, but I had to practically beg for it. And to top it all off, they'd charged us for an extra glass of wine, which they only refunded after I noticed...

24/12/2025: We came for Christmas dinner. The dishes offered were sophisticated, but the flavors didn't live up to the promise: very bland, lacking seasoning. You can tell they wanted to do well, but the combinations weren't successful, and some dishes were truly disappointing. For the children's vegetarian meal, the potatoes were undercooked and scattered all over the plate, with no presentation whatsoever. So, I was really disappointed with the experience.

15/02/2026: The food was of very poor quality at exorbitant prices… luckily, the upstairs waiter was friendly and the service was quick! Some of the downstairs waiters were unpleasant…

16/02/2026: A warm welcome and efficient service from a smiling team made for a very pleasant Sunday evening. The appetizer platter was a little small, but the butternut squash was delicious and the daily special was tempting. A very good dessert to finish on a sweet note. The bill was a bit pricey, but consistent with the quality and the occasion. A great place to remember 😊

22/09/2025: Poor quality bike and definitely not maintained! Derails several times and is so seized up that even when going downhill the bike stops! Do a few more km and you will find much better quality bikes at the same price!

24/02/2026: We ordered steak, pizza, tartar, soup and veggie plate and we all couldn't even finish. Everything is pale and tasteless, really poor cooking on a variety of dishes.

23/02/2026: For those who remember the sugar crepe scene in the French comedy film "Les Bronzés," this is exactly it. You walk in, and to ask for a table, you feel like you're bothering them. I've read some other reviews, and they're spot on. The "I'm out of pizza at 1 p.m." line couldn't be more true. The service is appalling. Another evening, I went back because my apartment was right next door. At 9:20 p.m., I ordered three pizzas to go, and they looked at me like I was an alien. They told me they'd been out of pizza for ages... They like to claim they're fully booked for two weeks, which is completely untrue. The restaurant is often half empty when you walk by during service hours. Last but not least, I had the "pleasure" of eating a pizza there. It was disgusting, and the dough was frozen. Avoid at all costs.

05/03/2026: The pros: magical location, cleanliness, and the service, which has improved considerably this year. The cons: the food: firstly, it's a self-service restaurant, and secondly, the food selection is basic, incomparable to most mountain restaurants in Megève—for example—yet the prices reflect those of mountain restaurants. That said, the food is quite well cooked, coffee aside. Note a comment made today to an English-speaking customer: the manager is anti-Trump to the point of boycotting Coca-Cola. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even to the point of missing Khamenei, but it seems to me that in business, one should refrain from sharing it.
