29/01/2026: Restaurant IDEAL is far from ideal. Sausage and mashed potatoes worthy of a fast-food joint, at an astronomical price. Dirty toilets. Haughty and disdainful management. Only the terrace and its view would justify a photo stop. A meal to avoid.

19/03/2025: Superb location Superb terrace A team offering exceptionally friendly and efficient service! Well done to them! I don't like easy criticisms, so I'll just say that the food is home-style, perfect for a ski break. Have a great end to the season and highly recommended for its ski-in/ski-out location.

16/02/2025: The manager was extremely unpleasant and rude. She flatly refused our simplest requests (like adding an egg to our dish), was unable to offer any advice, and, worst of all, yelled at us in front of all the other customers because one of the children with us, a one-year-old, had spilled crumbs under his high chair! Appalling… You should be ashamed of your unprofessional, unprofessional, and aggressive behavior… Luckily, the young waitresses were nice to make up for it :)

04/04/2026: Location is super, but not the service.....the waitress never looked when you called and our food were served so far apart, my plate was served when my friends finished theirs....

04/04/2026: A restaurant I've frequented since childhood, both with family and friends. Unfortunately, for the past two seasons, the quality has steadily declined, both in terms of service and food. This year marks a real low point. The service has become very disappointing, the food arrives cold, and the quality is barely acceptable. The outdoor barbecue, once a highlight, now seems to be nonexistent. Added to this are the constantly increasing prices, which are difficult to justify given the experience offered. Today, after waiting for an hour and a half with children, a waitress even spoke to me inappropriately, which is completely unacceptable. It is with regret that I will not be returning. A VERY, VERY disappointing experience!

29/03/2026: Sunday, March 29th. No heating in the tea room: welcome to the fridge! I see the management has decided to take care of its customers by turning off the heating. If you're planning on having a good time, bring your down jackets and blankets… or better yet, choose another establishment.

16/03/2026: This was my first time at this bakery. I thought I'd give it a try, since I've been walking past it for ages. I usually go to Le Fournil du Chablais. The place is huge, but there's very little choice, both sweet and savory. I was served by a cold saleswoman; she didn't smile back and showed no empathy whatsoever. This is the first and last time I'll ever go to this bakery. The pastries looked dry.

20/04/2026: Irish Coffee in Chamonix was a great find and the perfect spot for a relaxed family lunch. It has that easygoing, welcoming feel you hope for when stopping somewhere in a beautiful mountain town. We ended up sitting inside since my 8-year-old niece wasn’t a fan of sitting in the sun, and it worked out perfectly. The indoor space was cozy and comfortable, with a nice laid-back atmosphere. That said, the outdoor seating looked fantastic. The patio has incredible views of the surrounding mountains, which really creates a special setting for anyone visiting Chamonix. The food was very good and hit the spot after a day out. Simple, satisfying, and exactly what you want from a casual café. The pizza was especially enjoyable, and everything came out fresh and well prepared. The staff was polite and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Service was smooth and welcoming without feeling rushed, which made it easy to just relax and enjoy the moment. Overall, this is a great little place to stop for a meal, whether you’re with family, friends, or just exploring on your own. Between the views, the atmosphere, and the solid food, it’s definitely worth a visit while in Chamonix.

07/04/2026: Avoid going there, especially if you're a tourist. They expect a tip, and if you don't want to leave one (because it's not mandatory), you'll have an unpleasant situation. They definitely deserve a tip for that.
