04/09/2024: There were three of us and we took flank steak, sea bass fillet and perch fillets. The dishes are hearty and delicious, with a good accompaniment of sauces. Good quality wines by the glass. Friendly welcome. A little slow service for coffees and the bill
02/09/2024: The waiter comes to collect...the box...I hand over the credit card!!! He turns to chat with other customers and ignores me....
He claimed he was speaking... That I was incorrect???
You don't waste your time chatting while you work.
The frozen perch had no taste.
I had booked the table at 9:30 a.m....I was given the one next to it...because supposedly the gentleman had made a mistake when making the reservation.

Surtout évitez la tartine c’est presque immangeable et très cher pour du pain jambon fromage sans intérêt aucun Bcp trop de chantilly pour masquer qu’il n’y a rien dessous pour les desserts
Serveurs très sympathiques. Service hyper rapide car plats réchauffés. La patronne à l’inverse est plutôt revêche (service minimum)

01/09/2024: J’adore ce restaurant. Qualité des plats, gentillesse du personnel, décoration, emplacement… Tout est top. Mention spéciale pour le magret de canard à tomber par terre.
30/08/2024: Grosse arnaque
20€ pour une "salade César" avec des morceaux de poulet pané d'une couleur et d'un goût très, très douteux, on ne parle même pas des anchois. Vraiment pas bon.
La carte est des plus banales, difficile de comprendre comment quelqu'un voudrait ouvrir une affaire pour se fouttre de la tête des gens de cette manière.

The welcome is very good, the location too, in the heart of the center, the food nothing to say, the same for the service, very pleasant with Elise our waitress and then the must are the generous quantities especially for the menus which are generally reduced but then not at all and prices more than reasonable.
Well done, we don't understand the bad reviews.
Absolutely worth testing

31/08/2024: Hôtel calme et très bien tenu. Cadre pittoresque et chaleureux. Le petit déjeuner est complet et la vue sur les montagnes est magnifique. Les propriétaires sont aimables et bienveillants.

The waiter was super friendly and smiling, he even advised us on hikes to do!

02/09/2024: Un premier séjour au Grand Bornand en juillet avec un déjeuner au restaurant le Châtillon en haut du télécabine du Rosay au Chinaillon. Le second séjour en août au Grand Bornand ne pouvait se faire sans passer à nouveau au Châtillon. Bel établissement avec une belle vue panoramique sur les massifs. Excellent et chaleureux accueil par le personnel. La carte est suffisante pour que vous puissiez votre bonheur gustatif. Tout y est excellent. Les prix sont honnêtes pour un restaurant d’altitude. Je recommande. Tout est parfait.

24/09/2024: We took a weekendesk. Everything was perfect, quiet location, welcome, meals, sauna and hammam.
Small downside is that the offer says unlimited spa, but it should be clarified that the unlimited is from the moment you have your slot. We came at 4:30 p.m. to take advantage of this moment and in the end we only had access from 6 p.m.

Afterwards the room was not clean stains on the floor, chair on the balcony broken, room right next to reception and you can hear people coming and going, I think the rooms must not be well soundproofed finally, full of little details which are a bit preachy I find...😔

Station a little deserted but normal the season is over.

01/08/2024: Joli cadre mais coûteux et décevant. Cherchez le poulpe. viande dure, desserts corrects mais sans finesse….service lent, accueil froid.
28/06/2024: Un service très qualitatif, une décoration de restaurant vraiment jolie, nous sommes allé dans ce restaurant qui est à 2 pas de chez nous pour la première fois, très belle découverte. Les menus proposés sont à des prix raisonnables et on y mange vraiment très bien. Jolie présentation des assiettes, les plats signatures du restaurant portent bien leur nom de « signature » et se démarquent vraiment par leur originalité et leur goût. Je recommande vivement !

15/02/2024: For years, it's always been nice to be on this terrace when the weather is nice. But the menu has been greatly reduced recently, the wide choice of super good pancakes and pancakes having been removed 😥
