28/01/2026: Bad reviews are just not true. I met the manager during my visit and had a diner at the restaurant. Both the manager and staff are incredibly polite, attendant and friendly. Yes of course you pay the Megeve prices, you are in Megeve but that's to be expected. The food was incredible and the entire experience was beyond expectations. Thank you. Ignore the bad reviews, these people are just snobs who want to ruin good businesses. I am leaving a one star review because I know you clicked on lowest like me and will see this review this way. But it's actually 5 stars. Now I believe in you to give those 5 stars after your experience. Thomas, thank you for being our waiter last night, you're a wonderful kid with a bright future, enjoy that bottle buddy.

30/07/2026: Helpful service that let us eat late though we stayed in other hotel. The food we had was steak - classic with good sauce and veggies. Glass of good red wine. Bill was reasonable.

28/08/2026: My grandson (6 years old) and I ate the Savoyard fondue. The texture was awful (it became stringy when we dipped our bread), the flavor was mediocre, and the portion was very small. The owner assured me it was 250g per person, but my grandson ate a few pieces, and I ate bread! The warm goat cheese salad was overpriced for the amount of filling. €30 per person without a starter, dessert, or coffee.

07/08/2026: An excellent place: the doughnuts are delicious, and the portions are generous. The charcuterie is also excellent, and the service is very friendly. Highly recommended for lovers of these Savoyard specialties.

17/09/2026: A lovely little meal; we had the Savoyard meal with crispy Tomme de Savoie cheese, a very good tartiflette (though two or three salad leaves on the plate would have been perfect), and the faisselle with red berries. The waiter was quick, friendly, just perfect! Thank you very much.

08/09/2026: A quiet little place offering quality food, a terrace overlooking the lake, and smiling and helpful staff. The food is good, and the service is fast and efficient. Recommended if you're in this wonderful area and want to eat well.

10/08/2026: Excellent restaurant, we go there every time we're in Flaine (for afternoon tea, drinks, or lunch/dinner) and the owners are lovely. The service is often quick (during the Christmas and summer holidays), the food is delicious and plentiful, the prices are very reasonable (compared to other restaurants), and everything is homemade. I highly recommend this place. Of course, there are always some dissatisfied customers, so don't pay attention to the few negative reviews, try it for yourself!

29/07/2026: A very warm welcome! The ribeye steak melted in your mouth, a delight, and the pasta carbonara was amazing. I highly recommend it.

07/08/2026: Great location in the center of town. Setting in the Alps is as amazing as one could imagine. Did not need to use my car for two days. Check in was very easy. Melissa was great and quite helpful. Room was tiny. I was traveling to Megeve to meet friends so it was ok for one person, but had I been traveling with my spouse it would have been very uncomfortable. 7th hotel I’ve stayed at so far during my 31 day trip to Europe and unfortunately the beds here were the least comfortable of the 7 (Room 9). Basically two twin beds put together to create a “king”. Shower was a disaster. Head points directly toward the door and is unmovable so when I turn it on it sprays right at me and out the door. Also has a handheld wand but I find them to be rather useless. Best feature was the nice terrace, which is where I spent most of my time when I was in the room. Only option in town for World of Hyatt members and for the most part it was a solid experience.

12/07/2026: I had a wonderful stay at this hotel for 4 nights, and one of the highlights was the exceptional service I received during breakfast from Wessim. Although I only had breakfast there one day, he made a lasting impression with his kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. My server, Wessim was attentive, welcoming, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my meal. His friendly attitude and thoughtful service truly added to my experience and made me feel well taken care of. It’s rare to come across someone who takes such pride in their work and goes above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable. Thank you, Wessim, for making my stay even more memorable. The hotel is lucky to have someone like you on their team! I would happily recommend this hotel and hope to return again in the future.

19/04/2026: An absolutely charming experience at the Hôtel-Restaurant La Verniaz. The setting is enchanting, offering a haven of serenity and elegance. As for the cuisine, beautifully presented dishes at the bistro showcase refined cuisine that magnificently highlights seasonal produce, all served with exemplary professionalism. Whether it's the comfort of the hotel or the quality of the food, the welcome is impeccable and attentive. A must-visit address that I highly recommend for its authenticity and excellence.

28/08/2026: It was very busy due to the UTMB. I was alone and was helped in a friendly manner, served well, and had a good meal.

09/04/2026: AMAZING! Honestly, this is the second lunchtime we've eaten there, and as a Breton, I can assure you they're the best galettes in the Portes du Soleil region!!! 09/04/2026: Good value for money. Very good location in relation to the slopes and children's ski lessons. The head waitress is excellent, on par with her counterpart at Brasserie Georges.

08/04/2026: Definitely not family friendly nor is if friendly. (Head waiter was rude, and clearly showed he didn’t want us there) - kids menu wasn’t on offer as advertised outside, and walked off in the middle of taking our order. The Risotto was great but otherwise it as expensive meal for a high stress, grumpy staff with not much on offer.

24/12/2025: Mixed experience. We came on a Sunday as a family for lunch while visiting the Christmas market. We ordered the daily special, which was croziflette. Unfortunately, the portions were too small. The adults received the same amount as the children. We left hungry. The children, however, thoroughly enjoyed their meal.

12/12/2025: Fast service, attentive waiter, very good food. I recommend it!
