08/03/2026: Went during busy lunch time. Dined outdoors; scenery beautiful. Had pasta, nuggets & burgers ( chicken and beef) Tried the : Genepy Spritz Very nice ! Love it: medicinal herbs +clean crisp lemon lime. Food was great! Service great. Only ONE bathroom avail

01/03/2026: Delicious, generous food, just the way we like it. We were seated quickly (at least for us), and the service was also quite fast. It was busy, so a bit of a wait is to be expected. The staff were attentive and friendly. I highly recommend it!

04/01/2026: The waitress was very polite in her treatment of our table. The fish was still frozen when it arrived on the plate, there was hair in another dish, in short, the service and the food were not up to scratch that day.

21/02/2026: It's a pub, so there's an excellent whisky list (you have to ask for it). They've had the same draft beers for years, which is a shame, but the service and atmosphere are great. The food is decent.

11/03/2026: Very disappointed by Beef Lodge. When you present yourself as a temple of meat in Megève, you should at least have a grasp of cooking techniques. We asked for rare: we were served well-done. We asked again for rare: we received blue. At this price point, it's not just a minor inaccuracy, it's a problem. As for the picanha that "browns on the plate," an explanation given with great confidence, this doesn't excuse either the texture or the poor cooking. The overall impression: a lot of posturing, less precision on the plate. At these prices, one expects more than a theoretical lecture on oxidation.

21/02/2026: Fantastic setting by the lake! This pirate-themed restaurant has a fun and immersive decor. The terrace offers a lovely view of the lake, which is very pleasant. The food is good, simple and efficient, and the staff is friendly. A great place to eat in Yvoir!

05/02/2026: We had a wonderful time. We were offered the choice of dining in the main room or a quieter, smaller one, and we opted for the quieter space. The servers were very attentive, the food was delicious, and they even offered us a bowl of water for our service dog. Highly recommended!

29/01/2026: After a very warm welcome and attentive service from our server, the food was unfortunately a disappointment. The dishes did not live up to the prices charged. We thank the server who listened to our feedback at the end of our meal. This gentleman remained professional throughout.

25/02/2026: A truly magnificent setting, absolutely top-notch, and more than reasonable prices for a resort. It's a shame the waiter at 11:45 didn't want to seat us inside because he preferred to serve us on the terrace, which I can understand (there were two of us). You know, sir, autistic children aren't so different from us; they just need a less overwhelming space at times, like your indoor dining room, which was empty at that moment. Aside from that, you were fantastic. So, perhaps next time.

04/09/2025: Living in Évian, we've gotten into the habit over the past few months of curiously and enthusiastically exploring the town's restaurants. So far, we've had no real disappointments... until today, unfortunately. Upon our arrival, neither the drinks menu nor the set menu were offered to us spontaneously, so we had to ask. We weren't offered a carafe of water either, which can be surprising in a town like Évian. And no cocktails were offered on the menu, a lack we found regrettable. Regarding the meal: I ordered a blue steak, which was served medium rare. The fries were clearly industrially produced, flavorless and crispy. The bread was slightly stale, which isn't a big deal, but it's still a bit sloppy. The Norwegian salad, for its part, didn't seem very fresh; the salmon had an unappealing flavor, probably from a supermarket, and the vegetables were seriously lacking in vibrancy. Faced with this accumulation of minor disappointments, we decided to interrupt the meal after the main courses. We didn't want to go any further. Finally, an important note: the word "crêperie" is prominently displayed on the front, yet no savory crêpes are offered, only a few sweet crêpes for dessert. This leaves the impression of a mismatch between what is advertised and what is actually offered. In short, a disappointing experience, both in terms of the welcome and the cuisine. We don't plan to return or recommend this establishment as it stands.

01/03/2026: Nice location. Vegetable soup looked like dishwater and tasted inedible. Chilli Con Carne was just OK. Chips, coffee and beer all good. Nice dog.

22/02/2026: The waitress was very welcoming; we had a lovely time enjoying delicious sweet crepes, a bowl of cider, and the kindness of our host. I recommend it. Unfortunately, we returned, and this time it was very difficult. The owner was alone and overwhelmed, and there were no waitresses available. We left because she could only seat us at two separate tables!

08/02/2026: Expensive for frozen food, very poor value for money, avoid it

17/02/2026: Unfortunately, the food took a while to come and when it did I found a hair in my pizza which put me off my food completely. To make matters worse my dessert also came with an unpleasant hair in it. I hope the restaurant improves their hygiene control.

14/02/2026: We had a great time! The pizzas are very good. And the ribeye steak was amazing! I highly recommend it! (One small drawback: the toilet flush is less responsive than the waiter.)

27/10/2025: We had a wonderful stay at La Verniaz. We particularly appreciated the welcome and service, especially Olga, who was extremely kind. The shuttle service to the city center is really convenient and efficient.

06/10/2025: The hotel is part of the Evian Resort, but it clearly doesn't offer the same services as other hotels in the same brand. It's old, poorly maintained, and therefore not in line with the rates charged. And clearly not 4*. However, a commercial agreement has been reached, but that doesn't change my opinion about 1*.

12/11/2025: Karaoke night with free paella for singers. Friendly place and owners. Concerts on Friday nights. A great place to rediscover in winter as it's not so common!

11/11/2025: We received a very warm welcome on November 11th. The setting and atmosphere were perfect, and the staff were very pleasant. We had a delicious meal; I highly recommend it!
