15/08/2026: Nothing to complain about. Or rather, yes. Everything was perfect, the setting is delightful, you can see the lake from the terrace. The dishes are very good and offer excellent value for money. The service is impeccable. For those reading this review: This establishment was taken over in 2025 and has been constantly improving ever since; you can go there with your eyes closed. We dined there in August 2026. €150 for 3 people including aperitif, wine, etc. (the works).

27/09/2026: A fantastic spot by the lake; we were seated on the terrace. The welcome was perfect, the waitress very kind and readily available to answer our questions. The food is absolutely delicious. We don't regret going at all. Just a 4-star rating for the food, because while our aperitif and starter arrived perfectly on time, the main courses took ages to arrive, whereas other, larger tables that ordered after us received theirs much sooner... In short, probably a minor issue or oversight, but it doesn't change anything; if I'm ever back in the area, I'll gladly return.

22/07/2026: A truly delightful experience in every way. The fish was cooked to a perfection few still know how! If you're in the area, you absolutely must go. Plus, they're open year-round!

A fantastic restaurant with a very warm and friendly welcome from the owners. The daily special was delicious, and they also offer set menus. It's the kind of place we'd love to visit more often – efficient and unpretentious. Thank you for your hospitality, keep up the good work! :)

David welcomes you as one welcomes the day…🌞 and sometimes even the night 🌙 —😂 with that simple warmth that never sleeps, and that little bit of humor that keeps watch as the stars circle. It's a refuge, a corner of heaven, a place where moments become embers. You return without hesitation, like returning to a house that knows your name. I recommend it without hesitation — day, night, and even at the hour when cafés still dream.

30/08/2026: A very disappointing experience. The staff were rather unpleasant, all because they were allowed to handle the birds. After the show, there was a small activity that some people had paid extra for on top of their ticket. We were taken aside just to observe the birds, and we were thrown out by a woman with purple hair because we hadn't paid to handle the birds. We had no intention of handling them, only of watching them, and we were asked to leave and continue our visit. We had paid extra to visit the large aviary, but frankly, it was completely pointless. It's a real shame. The behavior of some people who take themselves too seriously because they have a bird on their glove tarnishes the work of all the keepers.

17/09/2026: We've been coming to "Le Refuge" for years... The prices have skyrocketed with the altitude. Be careful not to limit your clientele to wealthier people rather than some locals or families on vacation. We are saddened by our decision, but we will not be returning. Best of luck.
