24/03/2026: We stopped there by chance because the ski lift was out of order. And that's when the "trap" tightened: Excellent experience! Warm service, delicious and beautifully presented dishes. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the culinary expertise. And reasonable prices. We went back three times! I highly recommend it!

02/05/2026: A message I just sent to the Michelin Guide: Hello, I rarely do this, but it's worth it. There's a restaurant, the Auberge du Château de Clermont, in Clermont-en-Genevois, that we discovered a few weeks ago. This restaurant is truly worth a visit, both for the welcome and the cuisine. Everything is just right, exceptionally good, flavorful, and quite inventive. In particular, the spelt with a Scarmoza mousse and a smoked egg yolk, or the langoustine tournedos with a bold, precise, and perfectly executed shellfish coulis. In short, a delight! The service by Sophie is attentive and meticulous… the chef is very friendly, and Sophie is efficient and cheerful. We left delighted and with stars in our eyes, one of which they richly deserve.

08/06/2026: I've been to La Folie Douce two years now – and it's been fantastic every time! Great DJs, great music, no cover charge, drink prices are perfectly reasonable for après-ski, friendly staff, cool dancers, clean restrooms, and always a fun atmosphere among the guests. Plus, they regularly have great themed parties (like Aperol Spritz). I'll be skiing in Avoriaz again next year, so I'll definitely be visiting La Folie Douce regularly!

07/12/2025: We came to eat as a family, and it was a very unpleasant experience. The owner, I presume, was intrusive from beginning to end. We had barely sat down when he started massaging my brother's and father's shoulders. He inserted himself into all our conversations, sat at our table to chat with us, addressed us informally, and made homophobic remarks toward my uncles. He spoke to his colleagues without any restraint, shouting across the room; even the youngest employee seemed embarrassed for us. He was making a spectacle of himself; it was impossible to eat in peace. We were very uncomfortable and hurt by his remarks. He tried to apologize, but we sensed no sincerity. Judging by other negative reviews, we're not the only ones complaining about this kind of behavior.

07/12/2025: The food was simple and good, but I was very surprised to see this restaurant has a 5-star rating… I felt uncomfortable from beginning to end. Between the "shoulder massages" and the homophobic, sexist, and racist remarks from the owner, whom I thank for leaving us with such a wonderful impression of this place we will not be returning to. You can laugh about anything, but not with just anyone. A word to the wise.

07/05/2026: One of the best dinners of our lives! You can always have good food in good restaurants but the perfect compilation of food in a sequence of dishes is difficult to get. Congratulations for the great work that you do and for the excellent service!

16/05/2026: The servers and atmosphere were very friendly. However, the quality and quantity were lacking. The sausage was very greasy and didn't taste very good. The crozets were good, but there wasn't enough of them. Three-quarters of the chai latte was foam. The price is therefore high.
