05/03/2026: A wonderful first experience at this very cozy restaurant. A warm welcome and, above all, an incredible meal (veal chop with morels!). Beautiful presentation. In fact, everything was perfect! Even our waitress's smile! We'll definitely be back!

07/02/2026: We just celebrated our son's 20th birthday at the Auberge du Pont Gibaud. What a wonderful evening! The food was delicious, the portions piping hot, and the portions very generous. A huge thank you to Romain, the owner, and Julien, the waiter, for their warm welcome and professionalism. This evening will remain etched in our memories. We are delighted to have such an excellent restaurant so close to home, with its classic and elegant interior. You can go there without hesitation! Thank you so much and well done!

31/01/2026: We only had dinner at the inn's restaurant, and the meal was hearty and delicious. The staff were also very pleasant. I recommend it.

28/02/2026: A lovely evening with a Savoyard atmosphere. A small but useful item needs improvement. One raclette grill for five people is unmanageable! Other restaurants offer one grill for two. A few Savoyard dishes were missing from the menu.

20/02/2026: I was very happy with this restaurant. You'll need to make a reservation and you won't be disappointed. We had a small french vocabulary but they took care of us. The food was amazing! If they have a special I would highly suggest it. The food and service was top notch. I'm going to this place again before I go back the the US. 100% would recommend everyone to go if they are close to Argentière.

We ordered the 59chf set meal where each plate from starter to the main - crispy roast pork belly was so good yet juicy. I had the fish dumpling with lobster sauce that comes with a mini risotto as my main so very tasty and unique. For dessert, if you opt in, you will go to the buffet style table to fetch your dessert, fun! Will come back for other dishes. Suggest to book in advance🥘🍖🥟🍴🇫🇷

It's the perfect place to take a break from skiing and enjoy the panoramic views. The food is excellent, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. A truly wonderful mountain restaurant in La Clusaz.

20/02/2026: A very comfortable mountain refuge that has retained its authentic charm. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The owner is passionate and enthusiastically shares the history of the refuge. Excellent fondue. Good value for money. Perfect conditions with over 2 meters of snow outside. Magical!

18/02/2026: We had booked a meal and night toboggan run package at the Refuge du Tornieux, but unfortunately, the experience turned dangerous. The information we received by email indicated the existence of a groomed track. Upon arriving at the parking lot, we saw no clear signs and only a hiking trail to the left. We followed it, thinking we would eventually reach the groomed track, especially since there were tracks in the snow. After several minutes, we realized it wasn't the right path, but the signs still pointed to the refuge, so we continued. With the amount of snow, the trails were no longer visible, and we simply followed the path through the snow. The refuge signs disappeared, and we came across a sign indicating "Plaine des Mayères." We then called the refuge to ask whether we should continue or turn back. We were told that many people make the same mistake but that we could follow the sign. The situation quickly became extremely dangerous: waist-deep snow, repeated falls, pitch-black night, and no way to see the trail. After wandering for over two hours, we called again. Two women tried to help us, but in the background, we could clearly hear the person in charge saying, "I worked all day to welcome them; they're on their own." We were even told that some had managed to find their way back... in four hours. Faced with the danger and the lack of any real assistance, we turned back. The result: nearly three hours of wandering in the middle of the night in extremely risky conditions. The most shocking thing was the lack of safety measures and clear signage, even though it's acknowledged that "many people get lost." A simple, small sign, visible from the start, at the barrier leading to the trail, clearly indicating that it wasn't the right path, would have been enough to avoid this situation. At no point did anyone check that we had made it back safely. We are extremely disappointed and especially shocked by the lack of prevention and consideration of the danger.
