29/09/2024: For me the best restaurant in the village. The service is very nice and I found the food to be extremely good and fairly priced. Unfortunately we couldn't sit in the garden due to the weather, but the inside of the restaurant is nice too.

23/09/2024: A restaurant like us would like to find more. Simply excellent, crispy black pudding and squids, braised octopus salicornia caprons and small vegetables, local cheeses, plus the discovery of a white wine aged underwater in Socoa. And all this for a very reasonable price of €49 without wine and coffee. Add to that a perfect welcome and service. Well done, I will come back to enjoy other dishes like the duck roasted with Japanese Bb and garnished with summer truffle. Hmm!!!

26/08/2024: Ladies and gentlemen, let's get straight to the point, you MUST stop and enjoy some wonderful food at this restaurant. Words will certainly be difficult to express our satisfaction with this establishment, but I will still try to convey it. We have already returned there 4 times in one week, which is already a good sign, even a very good one. Let's take it step by step, first you will land in a bucolic, almost magical setting in the heart of the mountain, in a small village typical of the Basque country, with its quiet little streets and its beautiful red and white houses. From the terrace, a reassuring, soothing view, the impression of being in the heart of nature, breathing the fresh air of a delicious moment of relaxation and calm. Secondly, the welcome… well… the word Perfect will I think be used a lot in this comment. A welcome as we like them, a smile, a joie de vivre, a sense of service and “to please” which almost makes you want to work with the team. Always the right word, a clear and clear explanation of the menu, a sharing of the restaurant's values ​​such as the proximity of the products, a cheese that comes from barely 5 minutes away, like the jam, a sharing of Basque culture and typical products highlighted. Let’s get to the heart of the matter with what we tasted. Once again, I have no words other than perfect to write. We literally had a blast every time we went there. Our special mentions go to the hake dish and polenta, the Tahitian vanilla crème brûlée and finally, the famous tiramisu with cherry jam. Everything is delicious, homemade, quality, I told you… perfect! I had to take the time to carefully write this well-deserved comment, I do not regret it and would even like to say even more. We would therefore like to thank you very sincerely for contributing to a perfect vacation with these little moments of happiness and pleasure. Without forgetting the valuable advice on activities to do, farms to visit and even other quality restaurants to try. Thanks to the whole team for absolutely everything!!! Mary and Paul

A truly excellent meal, thanks to his wife Solange who prepared a delicious meal for us. When we come back to the area, that's for sure we will come back to eat in this exceptional place.👍🏼

08/09/2024: We had a (superb) 5-night stay at the Brikéténia hotel. The room (great comfort) was spacious, very well equipped, with very good bedding. We had reserved the chef's Basque cake for our arrival which is very delicate. Great welcome from Léa at reception on the first day who was also very available throughout our stay as were her colleagues at reception. Breakfast offers local and fresh products (daily pastries from the chef) of very good quality. We also appreciated the professionalism and kindness of Maika who took care of the breakfast room during our stay. The dishes served at Briket-Bistro were excellent and the service provided by Miguel and his friendly and professional colleague. Finally, special mention to the gourmet restaurant and its team. We (again) had a superb meal there with a delicious, well-balanced menu and a magnificent apricot dessert. The food and wine pairing offered was also perfect. A very beautiful house, whether on the hotel side or the restaurant(s) side, with truly adorable staff and a warm, family atmosphere. Thanks again! G. Moreau and G. Mione

16/09/2024: Endroit parfait pour visiter les grottes et manger local Foie gras poêlé excellent. Le service est parfait, très bon accueil, ne pas hésiter à demander des bons d réduction pour la grotte

05/08/2024: Accueil chaleureux. Endroit calme au mieu de la verdure..Esprit familial. Le restaurant est vieillissant mais les plats sont délicieux et fait maison avec des produits locaux. Présentation simple. La patronne fait tout pour ses clients. Elle est vraiment agréable. Cependant Le rapport qualité prix est élevé. Compter 55 euro en moyenne par personne vin compris. A découvrir si vous êtes de passage .

30/08/2024: Un petit restaurant qui ne paie pas de mine, mais ce qui est dans les assiettes est délicieux, et c’est bien le plus important. Des plats et des desserts très bien travaillés pour des prix tout à fait raisonnables. Nous avons adoré.

24/08/2024: Accueil sympa et convivial confirmé lors du service. Carte simple mais de qualité très bon produits faux filet excellent avec une excellente cuisson bref l'excellence !!!!

19/09/2024: Nous étions 6 amis a venir diner à ce restaurant et nous avons tous été enchantés par nos plats qui étaient tous différents! Je ne laisse jamais d'avis d’ordinaire mais là cela vaut vraiment le coup de prendre le temps; J'ai été surprise de constater a quel point le plat Vegan proposé était délicieux, très travaillé et réalisé avec beaucoup de soin. Beaucoup de saveurs parfaitement assemblées, une réalisation d'une grande finesse! Bravo. Si vous connaissez la serie tv "The Bear" je pourrais sans problème comparer la qualité des plats servis avec ceux du Venta Gaxuxa. L'endroit est très agréable, la musique choisie est juste parfaite est n'est ni trop forte, ni pas assez. Tout est très propre ainsi que la cuisine (gage de grand professionnalisme pour moi est assez rare). Ah oui.. si vous aimez les Olives faites maison en apéritif, vous ne voudrez plus jamais en gouter d'autres après!! Ce sont les meilleures du monde (non je n'exagère vraiment pas :)) Encore merci pour ce merveilleux moment que nous avons tous adoré, et merci pour votre gentillesse! ✯✯✯ Nathalie

15/09/2024: Great time at the restaurant. The service was impeccable, welcoming, warm and hyper professional. The setting is superb, a building steeped in history, which gives it a real identity typical of the Basque country while also being very classy. The dishes are as delicious, mastered and surprising as each other.
