I love it. However, it's advisable to make a reservation to fully enjoy the excellent dishes, especially the desserts. Enjoy! We highly recommend it, as we return every time we're in Saint-Jean-de-Luz.

30/07/2026: This restaurant had been recommended to us, but we unfortunately left disappointed. At €50 for a four-course menu, the price seemed reasonable. However, given the establishment's positioning, we expected much more attentive service. From the very first course, there was no presentation whatsoever. This was rectified later by a staff member. The presentation of the second course was rushed, the fourth was adequate, and no explanation was given for the dessert. Several details also gave an impression of a lack of care: the bread plates were still full of crumbs and were used as a base for the dessert coulis, the aperitif glasses hadn't been cleared even though the wine had already been poured, and the wait between courses was far too long. It wasn't all bad, though. The wine recommendation was excellent, as was the homemade sangria. Regarding the dishes, the zucchini accompanying the fish was undercooked, but that remains a subjective opinion. Overall, the plates were quite well presented. Finally, we were told the bill would arrive. After waiting about five minutes without any news, we had to go to the counter to pay. I imagine the employee sensed our annoyance, since she didn't ask us how our evening had gone. We won't be going back. That said, given the numerous positive reviews, I think this is probably an isolated incident and that this type of problem is occasional. Nevertheless, I feel it's important to bring these points to light so they can be taken into account and corrected for future customers. The goal isn't to criticize the establishment, but to share an experience that I hope will contribute to improving the quality of service.

26/07/2026: We had booked a table at this restaurant located in a beautiful house in the historic heart of Saint-Jean-de-Luz. We opted for an indoor table in a lovely dining room, which must be particularly pleasant in winter. The dishes we chose were excellent and original, from the amuse-bouche (which we didn't know about beforehand) to the dessert. The wines by the glass were very good. In addition, we would add that the service was professional and also lively, which we appreciated. We highly recommend this restaurant.

29/07/2026: Terrible service – we waited forever for our food – over an hour! Everyone after us had already received theirs. With two of the set menus, the appetizer didn't arrive until after the main course 🙈🤪. They completely forgot the cheese, and we had to ask for dessert three times. And that's really bad for a €300 bill! 🤮

19/06/2026: I strongly advise against this restaurant! It had no flavor, and the cheese was tiny for a roasted Camembert. The service was very poor; I understand why it was empty! Avoid it at all costs!

10/06/2026: Excellent place, I've been several times and it's always very good, generous portions, and affordable. The service is always excellent. The facade is currently being renovated, but I called and they confirmed it was open, and I wasn't disappointed.

26/07/2026: We came for lunch following a Petit Futé recommendation, and let me tell you, the review doesn't do justice to the quality of the food! Creative and delicious, we loved it! Top-notch service, and the value for money is incredible.

20/07/2026: A delicious lunch break on Sunday. This restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. An excellent set menu for €23. I also really enjoyed the non-alcoholic beer. It was very nice to be able to enjoy a real beer when you have to get back on the road.

07/07/2026: We just ate, it started off well, a bit fancy, but the waitress wasn't smiling. The young man was nice, but I'm still waiting for my decaf. The plates were good, but not very full for the price. Go check out the other side of the river; the plates seem fuller there, and the service was a bit slow. A shame, especially since we were celebrating my son's acceptance to medical school in Bayonne with two friends. 🤔😞

28/07/2026: We arrived on a Saturday at lunchtime, just as service was ending. The team quickly prepared a table for us, and we enjoyed an excellent meal. Great service, great food. Special mention for the Basque burger.
