02/09/2026: We chose this restaurant completely at random because we were just passing by and we were very hungry, and the cozy atmosphere really caught our attention. To be honest, we didn’t regret it at all! The food was absolutely amazing and delicious, including the desserts, and the service was excellent too. We 100% recommend it and will definitely come back the next time we’re in Pau!

30/08/2026: We had a lovely experience last night on the terrace. The food (starter and main course) was full of flavor and texture. We also enjoyed the Prosecco. However, we found the staff a bit uninspiring, the Prosecco glasses outdated (even though the wine glasses were very attractive – it's increasingly trendy in restaurants to serve Champagne or Prosecco in wine glasses), and the three-chocolate dessert didn't really taste like chocolate (no chocolate aroma at all), especially considering the bill was close to €120. But overall, a great experience. Thank you.

03/10/2026: A truly wonderful experience! For the second year in a row, we came with about fifty people for a meal with current and former colleagues… everything was perfectly organized. We received a very warm welcome from the moment we arrived for the aperitifs, and the table service was particularly efficient. Managing to serve so many people almost simultaneously, with piping hot, high-quality dishes, is truly remarkable! The restaurant is very pleasant, with a warm, wood-paneled, and plant-filled decor that gives the place a lot of charm. The owners are very friendly, attentive, and helpful, as is the entire staff. The prices are very reasonable, offering excellent value for money. Whether you're a couple, a family, or planning a large group meal, this is a place I recommend without hesitation. Simple, efficient, and welcoming: a sure bet! We will definitely return.

26/09/2026: A wonderful surprise during our visit to this beautiful, authentic village. Far from the crowds, mass tourism, and bland restaurants. We received a warm and peaceful welcome by the river, enjoying carefully prepared and incredibly delicious food. The prices are perfectly reasonable considering the quality and generous portions. After visiting this place, we've often been disappointed elsewhere. Thank you for this delightful experience.

29/09/2026: My wife and I had a wonderful evening meal at this excellent Bistro. The flavours created by chef Henri are devine. He uses local produce with imagination and flair. The concept of a meal of several small dishes is a refreshing change in an area where the food offer at restaurants is usually fairly predictable. Henri's charming wife Joanna heads the front of house team with humour and calm efficiency. They had an impressive local singer and guitarist to provide further entertainment. And the ambience was quirky and brought a smile to our faces. Highly recommended.

11/09/2026: A nice place for a simple meal in Pau. I had a crêpe with a salad, and everything was fresh, tasty and well prepared. There was nothing particularly memorable or surprising about the meal, but equally nothing to complain about. The ingredients were fresh, the food was good, and I left perfectly satisfied. A solid, pleasant crêperie that I would happily recommend if you’re looking for a good and uncomplicated meal.

03/10/2026: After tasting Egiaetgia wine at the cellar, we stopped for lunch. A generous portion of prawns (6) and an excellent fish soup (rivaling the best bouillabaisse in Marseille) followed by substantial desserts. The service was quick and efficient. A peaceful atmosphere on the Socoa harbor.

02/10/2026: Delicious seafood platter for a special occasion. The only downside was the service; it was very busy and they forgot about us.

12/09/2026: Excellent place to eat. The set menu (starter, dessert, and lunch) was €23 for a weeknight – truly fantastic! Originality on the plate, more than generous portions, a magnificent view of the Pyrenees, and a young and friendly team. What more could you ask for?

27/09/2026: In a fantastic atmosphere with a superb chef 🔥 The beef ribs (txuleta) and cod omelets with homemade fries are top quality and very generous portions. They also offer two types of cider, both equally delicious. I'll be back soon and highly recommend it.

30/07/2026: This restaurant had been recommended to us, but we unfortunately left disappointed. At €50 for a four-course menu, the price seemed reasonable. However, given the establishment's positioning, we expected much more attentive service. From the very first course, there was no presentation whatsoever. This was rectified later by a staff member. The presentation of the second course was rushed, the fourth was adequate, and no explanation was given for the dessert. Several details also gave an impression of a lack of care: the bread plates were still full of crumbs and were used as a base for the dessert coulis, the aperitif glasses hadn't been cleared even though the wine had already been poured, and the wait between courses was far too long. It wasn't all bad, though. The wine recommendation was excellent, as was the homemade sangria. Regarding the dishes, the zucchini accompanying the fish was undercooked, but that remains a subjective opinion. Overall, the plates were quite well presented. Finally, we were told the bill would arrive. After waiting about five minutes without any news, we had to go to the counter to pay. I imagine the employee sensed our annoyance, since she didn't ask us how our evening had gone. We won't be going back. That said, given the numerous positive reviews, I think this is probably an isolated incident and that this type of problem is occasional. Nevertheless, I feel it's important to bring these points to light so they can be taken into account and corrected for future customers. The goal isn't to criticize the establishment, but to share an experience that I hope will contribute to improving the quality of service.

26/07/2026: We had booked a table at this restaurant located in a beautiful house in the historic heart of Saint-Jean-de-Luz. We opted for an indoor table in a lovely dining room, which must be particularly pleasant in winter. The dishes we chose were excellent and original, from the amuse-bouche (which we didn't know about beforehand) to the dessert. The wines by the glass were very good. In addition, we would add that the service was professional and also lively, which we appreciated. We highly recommend this restaurant.

11/09/2026: We went there for lunch because we were passing through the area and saw that the restaurant could be booked online. Very good food and excellent service from all the staff. I really liked the fried chips. They had a special taste. They were out of duck breast, so we will have to go back one day to try it.

18/09/2026: We had a wonderful meal at this small restaurant, enjoying hearty, home-style Basque cuisine (pilgrim's menu). We wanted to try the Basque cake, which wasn't on the menu or was only available for an extra charge, but they generously offered it to us free of charge. The welcome was very friendly and warm. Tourist advice was given with great pleasure.
