09/12/2025: What a fantastic find! It was my first time at this restaurant and honestly, I loved it! The food is excellent, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I highly recommend it!

30/11/2025: La Popote is a restaurant everyone in Metz knows, and rightly so. Having tried it twice already, there's no doubt about it: it's the best restaurant in Metz if you enjoy old-fashioned bistro fare. The service is quick, yet the servers still have time to chat, joke, and ask questions. The food is high-quality, well-balanced, and reasonably priced. The dishes are classic but often given a modern twist, always maintaining a perfect balance. Of course, the atmosphere is that of a small, intimate restaurant where you shouldn't be afraid of conversation, but this only reinforces the "old-fashioned bistro" feel.

23/11/2024: Arrivée 30’ en retard en les prévenant, avons été très bien accueilli et compréhensif. Ils nous ont préparé une table sous 5’. Le service a été excellent. Contrairement à certains avis, nous avons été très rapidement servis (un samedi soir 20h30). Repas succulent avec tout au long une attention pour nous. Ça faisait longtemps que je n’avais pas aussi bien mangé. Merci à tous.

Everything is there for a perfect experience: an ideal location with a magnificent view, dishes always prepared exactly as requested, served hot, and of consistent quality. The service is impeccable: the team is incredibly attentive and always smiling, which is becoming rare these days. You can tell they truly understand how to run a successful restaurant. I'm always delighted to go there when I'm in Metz, and I highly recommend this place. Keep up the good work; it's a real pleasure!

07/12/2025: The service is great, the place is charming, just a minor drawback with the food... the gnocchi are mass-produced, the Dame Blanche (vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce) was good but served with a tablespoon... and the bill was announced aloud... small details, but something to improve.

25/11/2025: A really nice restaurant, warm welcome, and quick service. We received our food promptly, which is much appreciated when you're with children. The children's menu is excellent value for money. The pizzas and pasta are superb. We'll be back!

The only slight drawback—and I still gave it 5 stars because it doesn't warrant deducting a star—was the limited choice of side vegetables; only fries were available. We didn't have much choice in the vegetable side dish, though. (There were only fries.)

Fresh, local, sophisticated, and gourmet—everything is delicious. The staff is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and goes out of their way to ensure your satisfaction. I ordered my Christmas dinner there, a true delight, complete with instructions for reheating. Generous portions and a dish of exquisite finesse and flavor. A must-try in Metz.
