04/06/2026: The waitress was extremely unpleasant and haughty! I usually get male waiters who are very nice, but this was the first time I'd dealt with her, and frankly, she should change careers. I won't be going back.

19/07/2026: We were a family of four, and I wanted to order juice, cakes, and other things for at least €60, starting with coffee. There was a rude saleswoman who answered me rudely because I wanted my coffee in a cup, not a disposable one like my mother, who never drinks coffee without a cup. The saleswoman told me that since it was Sunday, they wouldn't be serving in cups. It's ridiculous!

15/07/2026: I like this bakery; the staff are friendly, and the bread is always soft. I often buy my sandwiches here, but I haven't tried the pastries like the pain au chocolat or the éclairs 🍰 I still recommend this peaceful place 😊

11/07/2026: We received a very warm welcome from Doudou, who clearly loves his job; we're shopkeepers, so we know what we're talking about. Having someone like Doudou on a team is invaluable!

08/07/2026: I came in to ask for a glass of water, as I couldn't find a shop to buy a bottle of water after walking for about ten minutes. With the heat, I was starting to feel unwell. I received a very warm welcome from the waiter behind the bar. He immediately poured me a glass of water and pointed me to a nearby shop where I could buy a bottle. After finding a nice, cold bottle of water, I came back to thank him and get an orange juice. A big thank you to this waiter for his kindness, hospitality, and professionalism.

19/06/2026: Returning from my trip, I wanted to relax in this quiet café with a lemonade. Imagine my surprise when I was thrown out of the restroom! The waitress started banging on the door and yelling, "GET OUT OF HERE!" I asked her why. Her response: "You come in without ordering first. I don't want people who are fainting, I don't want people doing drugs." Between the two of us, judging by her condition, I don't think I'm the one doing drugs. Terrible customer service. Avoid this place.

17/06/2026: If there's no one on this terrace when the others on Place Carnot are packed, there's a reason… Don't even think about sitting down before going to the bar to order! You'll have to deal with the owner, who will force you to get up to order. A real creep, the likes of which you've never seen. With a guy like that in defense for the French national team, you wouldn't concede a single goal. Besides being unpleasant, and with his Lucky Luke-esque gait, he spends his time not serving customers, but shuffling his chairs and tables a few centimeters by dragging them along the ground. It's impossible to have an uninterrupted conversation. This was followed by a security patrol to tighten every bolt on each chair on his beloved terrace! My thoughts are with the waiter inside, who seemed super cool. I'm planning to start a lychee fundraiser in anticipation of this horrible person's future victims.

17/06/2026: If you enjoy having a drink in a construction site atmosphere, go for it, guys. The owner in the hat provides the sound effects himself by screwing the chairs together while serving... He's also saving energy... The owner in the hat adds a touch of mystery... but unfortunately, not a good mood!

13/07/2026: This place is practically unsanitary! Flies and ants are everywhere in the food containers, the bread and cookies are undercooked, unlike what you'd find at other franchises. This place needs an urgent inspection!

11/07/2026: Disappointed with the service I received today. We first received a comment from a sales assistant about where we sat. The spot was clean, but she said, and I quote, "I didn't want to do the work twice," which I can understand, but there's a way to say things... it was 4:45 PM. Then came a second comment from another sales assistant because I wasn't sitting directly in front of her till but slightly to the side. This annoyed her, and she didn't hesitate to let me know. Really disappointing!

06/07/2026: One of the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Very long wait times, missing items, and a disrespectful manager who shows no respect or courtesy. They can't even stock the items offered by the points system.

29/06/2026: This McDonald's is always DIRTY (tables, seats, always leftover food, everything is greasy) compared to others nearby that are much better maintained.

28/05/2026: I'm very disappointed by the recent changes at this bakery. I've noticed with regret that not only have the prices increased, but the size of the pastries has also visibly shrunk. It's a double whammy for customers' wallets. It's a shame, because the quality is still there, but the quantity-to-price ratio is no longer there at all.

14/05/2026: The saleswoman was very condescending on May 13, 2026 when it came to picking up a package there, and she didn't listen when we spoke to her and put customers who seemed more "suitable" ahead of you.

03/06/2026: He just killed a pigeon with a broom in front of the customers who were eating. The waitress had the nerve to tell a shocked customer, "It's okay, it's not a protected species." Never again.

Go to Solaize, Chasse, or even Vienne instead, but never to Chaponnay; you'll regret it.

30/07/2026: I usually go to this McDonald's and I've never had a problem, but today I was shocked. In 35-degree heat, I decided to eat outside because I have a 2-month-old baby. The air conditioning was incredibly strong, there was one open parasol, and three out of four tables were plugged in. I sat near the second parasol because I also have a 2-year-old who's a bit of a nuisance, so I thought I'd ask if they could open the parasol. Other people were arriving, and no one came to tell me no, so I stayed in the sun. A group of three arrived and also asked for the parasol to be opened. The man told them NO, there was shade over there... so we were forced to sit right next to other people to avoid the sun. Bravo to you! And don't tell me it doesn't open! Anyway, 2 stars for the two ladies who served.

14/02/2026: This shop closed in August 2025; it was replaced by Café Marcel. What a shame, they had the best chocolate croissants around.

15/06/2026: I'm a regular at this place for their dark chocolate succès, which I love whenever I'm back in Lyon... but that's over! I bought two on Friday afternoon, so nearly €14 worth! I kept them cold for transport (as I always do): cooler, ice pack, and fridge. It's Monday, and I was looking forward to biting into my succès... What a disappointment, what a waste! Straight to the bin because of mold! I've never had this problem in all the time I've been transporting them, even when eating them more than 7 days later.

30/04/2026: Excuse me, but the brioche was terribly bland and dry. Nothing tempting or flavorful about it, despite appearances. Disappointed. The staff were friendly.

04/07/2026: I'm disappointed. I ordered a Margherita pizza and they put a barbecue sauce base instead of a tomato base. I don't know how that's possible. It's hard to make such a mistake when you expect a specific flavor. Unfortunately, the pizza was inedible.

12/07/2026: A very small place; there is no indoor seating—only outdoor. It’s a busy spot. The small ice creams are the worst part—both in terms of size and price. Definitely not worth the money.

25/06/2026: Absolutely avoid this place! €3 for an ice cream and it only had two scoops, that's all.
